optimistic it will happen. anxious they will get the call that their child, their mother, will be free. this thanksgiving all this family is hoping for is a feeling of gratitude that her family will make it out alive. >> reporter: while most americans are celebrating thanksgiving and welcoming the holiday season, this family in berkeley is stuck on october 7th. that is the day her sister-in-law and her husband were kidnapped by hamas terrorists. >> my life literally stopped on that day. >> the last text anyone got from rimon was at 8:45 a.m. when she and her husband hid in a concrete safe room in israel. >> she says, i love you, mom, i love you, i am sorry.

>> they disappeared as hamas ruthlessly killed an estimated 1200 people and took 240 hostages. since then, she has gone from phd student to full time activist doing everything in her power to bring back the hostages. >> i can not be depressed. i can not mourn the people that i lost. the onthing that i can do now is being an advocate with my sister-in-law because she needs me. >> weeks after the attack hamas released a propaganda video in which yael sister-in-law, her on the left, can be seen without her glasses. >> she is captured, held at gunpoint and she is not able to see. >> reporter: they agreed to free 50 hostages in return of the release of 150 palestinian prisoners from israeli jails and a four day pause in

straight week led by the secondary. thomas, intercepted smith. and moodey ward was matched up against a star receiver. he came up with three passed the break ups including on a deep ball. seattle cut the deficit to 24-13. nick bosa, stopped the seahawks mowment up with a huge sack to force a pump. six plays later, purdy with a perfect, let me reemphasize, perfect ball between four seattle defenders. 28 yard touchdown. that one put the game away. san francisco, they win 31-13. they are 8-3. of course, they got to celebrate with turkey on the field. >> i came here with all of my best friends, family, where else would i rather be here than on seattle's home field eating turkey legs on thanksgiving.

get your meal that could not fly to the stadium. there is a bar that they say it is more like a community. they spent the day cooking up holiday classics to make everyone who walked in feel welcome >> it means a lot. they walk in, they don't know anybody, you know, just you guys, then all of a sudden we say hi and treat you like family. that is how we do it here. >> the atmosphere. the people, you meet new people all of the time here. everybody welcomes everybody with open arms. >> the stadium hosts something like this every holiday. so, if you are looking for someone where festive to watch the match up with baltimores, go there. >> this is not the black friday door buster kohl's was planning this holiday season. >> beautiful weather across the bay area today. we will see if we can do it again tomorrow for black friday. let's keep it going through the rest of thanksgiving weekend. details in the full forecast coming up.

what happened there. thanksgiving is all about togetherness, being next to your family, sharing a meal with your friends. for the people who find themselves far away from home it can be a really lonely day. painful, even. a woman in the north bay know that and decided she was going to do something about it. it is a kind of tradition. suzanne harris hosts what she calls a friendsgiving fiesta, since 2018 her place has become a home away from home for people new to the bay area in some cases thousands of miles away from their own families, this year she invited 50 people. >> wherever i traveled throughout the world i have realized how important it is to feel home. i am so appreciative of being in another country and feeling like you're welcome, you are not just visiting you are part of the family. >> from the looks of it, everyone seemed to have a good time and a lot of food. that

mount saint helena 60 mile-an-hour already. gusts 2,000 elevation, so, closer to sea levels the gusts are fine. breezy for the first half of the day tomorrow but the off shore wind also really resists the development of cloud cover. full sunshine overhead tomorrow. another nice day. a little cooler with the northerly winds bringing in cooler air mass, full sunshine, making the most of the 9 hours and 54 minutes of daylight we get tomorrow. so, as much solarelectricity we can produce. temperatures right now, mostly in the 50s. holding on below 60 degrees in san francisco. down to the upper 40s already in concord, santa rosa. there will be chilly spots in the map for the next couple of mornings. not too many yet tomorrow morning the chilliest locations, north bay valleys, couple spots in the tri-valley, lower to middle 40s inland. middle to upper 40s along the coast. the

temperatures will warm up, not nearly as much as today. high temperatures, 1-3 degrees above average as opposed to the 5-10 degrees. 1-3 puts us in the lower to middle 60s across the bay area. think back a couple months ago when we had 30, 40 degree differences between coastal temperatures and temperatures farther inland. tomorrow, it will be a 4 degree difference. the warmest locations, topping out at 66 degrees of which there will be several. and a similar trend is in the forecast as we head through the next several days with the temperatures maybe slowly coasting down. that is what they are supposed to do heading through this time of the year. rounding the corn. we should start to see more rain chances headed our way as well. we see it towards the tail end of the forecast. beyond that time frame. these are the rain chances for next week. heading out of november into december.

there is a chance. 50/50, some say next wednesday. a chance of rain. others say hang on. wait until friday night, into saturday, we will narrow down the possibilities heading through the weekend into next week. long range data, 8-10 outlook, pointing to the unsettled pattern, settling into the bay area and most of the western u.s. as we head into early december. let's take a look at the seven-day forecast the temperatures will slowly, slowly coast down heading through the next several days, talking about a degree or so every other day. puts us down in temperatures. the temperatures around the bay and the coast, we will not see a lot of variation, everyone will be on an even playing field, below 60. plenty of sunshine all of the way into early next week. an increase, cloud cover overhead on wednesday. bold enough to add possibility of showers to the forecast for the last day of

>> grateful for family [music] >> my daughter who i have not seen in six years came to visit two weeks ago. we laughed, me and my children got together. my children and my grandchildren and we laughed. and that was everything to me. i had not seen her in six years. >> i am thankful for our dog, powder, she was rescued by the san francisco animal care and control eight years ago. she was found underneath a car in the tinderloin. >> what are you thankful for? >> to go on the horn blower thanksgiving dance cruise because we could not do that during covid. our dear friends we did it with before covid and now we get to have a reunion again. >> i am thankful i am healthy and not in pain. i am still here [music] >> i am thankful for being back to my favorite place with my best friend. >> a few years after the pandemic we are back together.
