>> hundreds of surveillance cameras are going up in the east bay. report that some residents hope it will help fight kriemt others aren't so sure. >> a brazen freeway shooting caught on camera, the chp says it happened wednesday afternoon on 880 in union city. investigators say it was road rage. the bullet did not hit the victim, but shattered glass caused minor injuries. with good footage detectives arrested this man within 24 hours. >> it has to have a deterrent effect because if they know the cameras are there, who wants to put their dirt on film? >> she says a quick arrest is why she supports the installation of 480 cameras in oakland and on freeways so when some one killed her daughter in november, 2021, near the bay bridge toll plaza her two boys age 3 and 5 were sitting in the back. >> it was senseless.

if that camera had been pointed south it would have picked up thundershowers from morgan hill through the peninsula, and beyond, right now it's pretty much dried up but from san mateo mountain view san josé this were thunder bumpers but that's dried up. sun goes down, energy goes away, currently the readings are upper 40s and low 50s and we are pretty much done with most of the showers. there's just a little chance tomorrow afternoon as things heat up for there to be a lingering shower in the south bay. other than that it's over and much of sunday begins to clear up and by monday, midday we've got clear skies over much of california and things warming up. so for the most part tomorrow showers done looks like great easter sunday and then we warm into the 70s by tuesday.

in terms of rainfall the past few days more than inch in santa rosa, concord half inch. other parts of the area fair hi uniform south to north with even morgan hill getting more than an inch of rain san josé almost two thirds an inch. all in the past as we look ahead low pressure is moving off its location from southern california and san diego where they had flash flood warnings today with high pressure taking over we will be mid 70s inland by tuesday so warming trend on the way. next chance for rain coming in next weekend while we warm it up between now and tuesday we will turn it an and cool down next weekend, chance of rain. summing up mostly sunny tomorrow, 20 percent showers chance for south bay sunshine warmer monday tuesday cooler on wednesday and another chance coming in by the weekend. numbers with in we will be the 40s tonight with clearing skies
