will hear arguments today that could impact former president trump's election interference case as well as charges against hundreds of january 6th rioters. at issue, the federal charge of obstruction of an official proceeding. now, attorneys argue the law, which was passed in the wake of the enron scandal, can't be used in these cases because it's intended for financial crimes and evidence-tampering. and now to israel where the country's military chief says that they will respond to iran's unprecedented large-scale drone and missile attack over the weekend. while israeli leaders have hinted at retaliation, the government is under intense international pressure not to further escalate the conflict. cbs's debora patta reports from jerusalem. >> reporter: a fiery display of iran's aerial might choreographed for maximum effect resulted in minimal damage. more than 300 projectiles were launched. first came over 170 drones and
