michael cohen, trumps's fixer-turned-fierce adversary, is facing a cross-examination from the former president's defense. >> had a very good day. >> reporter: tuesday trump's attorney, todd blanche, worked to discredit cohen pointing out his public attacks at his form boss and showing this t-shirt with trump behind bars. he asked cohen he wanted to see at one point blanche asked if trump wanted to see cohen convicted and he responded "sure." >> they're doing everything they can to make the jury see cohen as someone like a jilted lover, someone who at one point would do anything for donald trump, and now he's done a 180 and his life's motive is revenge. >> reporter: a gag order was not removed but this week a throng of big-name republican supporters have shown up to court and lobbed attacks of their own including house speaker mike johnson.

>> this is the fifth week that president trump has been in court for this sham of a trial. >> reporter: in his testimony so far, cohen claims trump was aware of a plan to pay him back for funneling $130,000 to adult film star stormy daniels in order to hide an alleged past sexual encounter ahead of the 2016 election saying trump knew financial records would list the reimbursements as legal fees. trump denies the encounter and has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records. michael cohen is expected back on the stand tomorrow for more with this cross-examination. prosecutors say that he is their last witness, and then trump's legal team will have a chance to present their case to the jury. >> ought to be interesting. jarred hill in new york. thank you. >> reporter: thanks. donald trump's private boeing 757 clipped a parked plane while taxiing at palm beach international airport over the weekend. the faa lists the tail number of trump's plane in the incident where part of its wing struck an unoccupied corporate jet.

it's not known if trump was on the plane at the time, and there were no reports of injuries. turning now to the israel-hamas war, the biden administration plans to send more than $1 billion in weapons to israel, that's according to two congressional aides. congress will need to approve the transfer. this new weapons deal comes just days after the u.s. withheld a shipment of 3,500 bombs to prevent israel from using them in the densely populated city of rafah. no word on which the arms will be sent, and this is not part of the foreign aid package congress passed last month. the israeli military released video of what it says shows armed terrorists and gunfire near u.n. vehicles, and in the area of logistics warehouse compound in eastern rafah. israel is calling on the u.n. to investigate the matter. israel marked 76 years of independence with muted celebrations with the country at war and more than 100 hostages still held by hamas.

"the baltimore sun" says the cargo ship that hit the francis scott key bridge lost power twice before the crash according to investigators. a preliminary ntsb report found the ship experienced an electrical blackout about ten hours before leaving the port of baltimore and again shortly

before slamming into the bridge killing six construction workers. the report says the first power outage happened after a crew member made a mistake while conducting maintenance causing one of the ship's engine to stall. and "the miami herald" reports a boat that authorities say fits the description of the hit-and-run that killed a teenage girl was seized. the boat was found yesterday docked behind a home in coral gables. 15-year-old ella adler was waterskiing saturday off key biscayne when she fell into the water and was hit by a boat which sped away. investigators say it's unclear if the driver of the boat actually knew they hit someone. they have not been identified. and still to come now, best in show. the little dog that beat out some big competition at the westminster kennel club dog show. club dog show.
