as an isis sympathizer, are in custody, and police are pursuing others. cbs' chris livesay has the latest on this investigation. >> reporter: it's one of the biggest tours in history, made even more memorable for the wrong reasons. a terrorist plot thwarted by police to attack taylor swift's concerts later this week in austria. police say two suspects who radicalized themselves on the internet are now in custody. one of them swore allegiance to isis, then carried out concrete preparatory acts for a terrorist attack. the bomb squad was called after police say they found the suspects in possession of chemical substances. a catastrophe averted, but all three concerts have been canceled as a precaution. ruling out a repeat of the 2017 attack in manchester, england, when a suicide bomber killed 22 people during an ariana grande concert. in austria, that's an estimated

only when you win. >> during the june debate with biden, trump said he would accept the election results if it's a fair and legal and a good election. you can see more of robert costa's interview with president biden this weekend on "cbs sunday morning." breaking overnight, tropical storm debby made its second landfall near bulls bay, south carolina, on its way up the east coast. the storm has drenched coastal communities in georgia and south carolina with record rain, powerful winds, and flash floods. >> ooh! >> floodwaters washed away roads in and around charleston as authorities warned drivers to use caution. forecasters say debby could dump an additional nine inches of rain in south carolina to bring rainfall totals in some areas to more than two feet. roofs were ripped off homes as tornadoes tore through edisto island south of charleston. heavy rain could cause intense

flooding across portions of the carolinas today. debby is expected to pick up speed as it moves north where more flooding is expected in the mid-atlantic states and the northeast. up to ten inches of rain could fall in north carolina and virginia, while maryland threw upstate new york and vermont even could get up to six inches of rain into saturday. boeing officials face a second day of grilling over the breakdowns that led to a door panel blowing off in mid flight on a company passenger jet earlier this year. as cbs' kris van cleave reports, boeing is making no promises that it couldn't happen again. >> reporter: when the door panel blew out alaska airlines flight 1282 in january. the pilots heard a loud bang. their ears popped. the cockpit door flew open and ripped off the copilot's headset. the captain called a rapid depressurization an explosive experience. the first officer called it chaos as the pilot struggled to communicate. they didn't know their brand-new

737 max was now flying with a gaping hole. inside the passenger cabin when the flight attendant in the back first saw the damage, they told investigators "i was absolutely certain we had lost people out of the hole and that we had casualties." one flight attendant recalled wondering "pilots, where are you? no idea if they are alive, conscious, did they know there's a hole in the plane?" as they approached the runway the pilots reported their oxygen masks fogging up. still, the plane landed safely. >> this was quite traumatic for the crew and the passengers. >> reporter: ntsb chair jennifer homendy is leading this week's investigative hearing into the accident. how did that door panel leave boeing without the bolts that hold it in place? >> that is part of our question. we knew it was open. at this point we knew it was closed. what happened on the in between? we don't know. and neither do they. that's a problem. >> reporter: and when asked, boeing could not rule out a mistake like this happening again. >> are you 100% -- can you tell

several mlb teams held moments of silence wednesday for the late major league executive billy bean. bean died tuesday at the age of 60 after a year-long fight with leukemia. in 1999 he became the second former major leaguer to come out as being gay. he was named major league baseball's first ambassador for inclusion in 2014. he later became the sport's senior vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion. now to the summer olympics in paris where team usa won several more gold medals including an incredible comeback in the men's 400-meter final. quincy hall got off to a slow start, but he sprinted past three runners at the end to capture the gold. he's the first american to win gold in the 400 since 2008. u.s. sprinter noah lyles
