talking about final preps before the game. kron four's justine waltman live in las vegas with a whole lot more and a side of fun. good morning, justine. >> good morning. right now. how are you? happy friday from here in las vegas. we're no longer going to be hearing from either team. the san francisco forty-niners or the kansas city chiefs. they're done talking to the media. they had their final media availability yesterday and now they need to focus. that's the buzzword of the day. it's time now to get down to business. one of the great things are not dealing with all that rain we have seen earlier in the week. we are contending with some wind chills, but that does not seem to be bothering either. team. start with the niners camp. they described as just another day at work. brock purdy and company going full speed after a light workout on a wednesday head coach kyle shanahan says purdy is executing at a high level even going as far as saying he had a heck of a week a day after practicing without pads and how much the chiefs are back to hitting and the words

from palo alto. 4. sarah stinson has the details on that. >> the san mateo county sheriff's office says luis, gustavo eris stole a plane from the palo alto airport and landed nose down in the sand just south of here and half moon bay. several people were enjoying the sunset at poplar beech and saw the plane go down. fully. no one was hurt. on thursday night around 5, the mateo county sheriff's office got a call. they don't get every day a stolen plane landed just south of poplar peach and half moon bay. but news from 20 years and this is a first for me, sergeant javier acosta says when deputies arrived, they found a single engine plane nose down in the sand. deputies quickly learned the plane was stolen from the palo alto airport. acosta says several people witnessed the landing. someone saw the person walking away from their plane. >> provide us a detailed description and we found that person within minutes. a 50

year-old man from miami-dade county, florida was arrested on the beach shortly after sergeant acosta says investigators are still working to learn more about him at this time. i do not know if this person is a pilot or or who person >> managed to still airplane and landed on the have and the beach walk away from >> harris has been booked into the san mateo county jail. the lead investigator being palo alto police. but this did happen on a state-run beach, popular beach. so they're still trying to figure out how to recover the plane and get it off the beach and back to where it belongs. >> i'm sara stinson reporting in half moon bay kron. 4 news. >> well, police in oakland are now searching for a car i've been involved in a deadly shooting last month. these are photos of that car released by police. the car is described as a black four-door lexus e-s 3.50, so damage on the front driver's side. fender. shooting happened back on january 13th right near 90th avenue in a street. the

victim's name has not been released. unified school district warning about scam calls targeting parents. the district said on wednesday one pair got a call that the child been kidnapped. it said the pair need to pay money. so in this case, the parents of the callers spoke in spanish and they could hear a child crying in the background. child is actually safe and class. if you get a scam call like this, this inviting you to stay calm. don't give out any personal information and just hang up as soon as possible. let's talk about these blessings camps. so the san francisco district attorney warning resident of so-called blessing scams. officials say this is when scammers offer to perform purification or blessing ceremonies on your cash for your valuable items. during that process, the victims, valuables are stolen. investigators say they got 2 reports of 2 women and a man during this recently. they say most of these are targeting our seniors. well, the city of

petaluma, they're now making some changes to try improve safety lake ville avenue or highway rather. so this decision comes after a 79 year-old woman was killed in a crash just last week. investigators say the woman was turning left on a lakeville highway from pine view way when she was hit as a result inrm safety measures are going to be put in place highway. clean radar, speed, feedback signs the traffic lane coations and blocking access to lakeville highway from pine view. way. these changes are going go into effect on monday. on the peninsula. muni buses were temporarily delayed yesterday after a bus got stuck on a curve in daly city. and i'll have and they are mission and flown around noi streets. now we reached out to police for a little more information about incident as of this report. we still haven't heard back just yet. in the spirit of the

>> the weekend storm continues to cause problems. so there's still a mudslide, debris and drowned power lines on highway 9. my near saratoga road is currently closed from the sanborn road to redwood gulch. caltrans says it doesn't know when the highway will be reopened. we need a much needed break in terms of the rain. so a lot of these highways and crews could start cleaning up. john, good morning. yeah, it takes some time to sometimes clean up after a week's worth of storms. kind of like we saw this past week. >> all the way from the weekend through just yesterday in some cases, saw a cluple sprinkles out there today, though, nothing going on. as far as the rain goes, which, hey, that's all right. getting a little break from it on into the weekend is much earned at this point. downtown san francisco looking good. but is it feeling good? look at how cold these temperatures are. lot of us having falling into the 30's this morning and it isn't out some frost advisories out there all the way through 09:00am this morning for areas lit up in blue in both the north east,

south and peninsula. as for our conditions, the rest of the day, the sunshine will eventually warm us up in any part of california is pretty much dry this weekend until you get right up to the oregon border. just a few sprinkles around la. nothing to worry about down there. high pressure. ridge is officially in the mix now and as we do see that cool, low pressure area moving out. this forecast is only going to look dry as we move through. not just the weekend, but into the start of next week, too. she can see in future cast today got lots of sunshine tomorrow. we're going to see more of that. guess what, sunday for the super bowl. also going to be looking at more of that sunshine ahead of us. as for our daytime highs today, temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 50's across the bay area. pretty pleasant forecast for the day. that's for sure. but what is super bowl sunday actually going to be looking like, let's get a look at it now. if you're staying here at home, of course, most of us are not everyone's going to vegas. it's going to be pretty

great for a round kickoff time. do expect some low 60's, which will be welcome sight, especially considering last sunday. it was not that way. by half time. you get those jackets back. ready to go at 55 degrees. now, as we made our way into next week, it's going to be pretty similar, not just staying dry through the weekend, but all the way through likely tuesday and wednesday by next thursday, a chance of showers returning in looking increasingly likely after that as well. but not before this dry stretch of weather and a nice little brush with the 60's to enjoy for a bit. as for your roads where we're sitting currently, we do have conditions out there that pretty easy going. bay bridge, 8 minutes to make your crossing. not a lot just yet. and certainly no backup. san mateo bridge, a few of us out there heading westbound on over to the peninsula, but doing so at a good clip rolling at the limit. richmond center fell at 7 minutes in the golden gate bridge. still nice and mt right now. all right, john, thank you for that. well, in the east bay,

one man has been arrested after police found drugs and 500 pounds of copper wire. >> in his car, police are conducting a traffic stop in the area of farwell drive. officers found 4 ounces of suspected methamphetamine. several electrical sauce, bolt cutters and the copper wire. the driver going the drugs and why were not his 3 other people in the car also denied ownership. the driver rose cazarez alvarado was arrested on suspected drug charges. other 3 men were also arrested for outstanding warrants. on the south bay. the san jose city council approved $200,000 to remove about 20 people who live along the guadalupe river trail. they say they want to make sure the area a popular place for people to walk through temps are going to be removed by april. city did something similar last year clearing dozens of tents in the area and moving some of those on house residents into temporary and permanent housing. >> you can see how disgusting all of this plastic is.

woman accused of still in a chp patrol car was in a san francisco courtroom thursday facing felony charges in another case for driving a stolen car. prosecutors say the car has been linked to a a home invasion. the home invasion happened earlier this month. police haven't made any arrests in that case. but surveillance footage from neighboring properties shows people checking for unlocked doors and unlocked vehicles. hours after that home invasion. wow. prosecutors say san francisco police so guerrero ex in a stolen vehicle in that home invasion. she pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property unlawfully driving or taking a vehicle. >> i'm scared, you know, for my safety at times because i do have a one year-old daughter. but i have taken precautions in getting security for our house. >> bill for guerrero was set at $5,000. well, due to the allegations in the late whole. the judge says that if she
