about the kron? 4 morning news. good morning, everybody. chilly. start for us still february when that's what you get with the clear skies, too. so it's worth it for this afternoon. you can see tri valley readings this morning in upper 30's going on. we have a frost advisory down the mountains in the south bay and mount hamilton. a chilly 36 checking into santa rosa to a lot of readings, though, managing into the 40's, although some 30's down the peninsula as well. 42 san jose. so for tomorrow now we've got at a couple of scattered clouds and they're just for good measure. not a big deal. temperatures will be much the same as they are today holding off on the rain and we still have the influence about high pressure, which is a little interesting as we get later in the forecast period. there it is right there in all its glory. so kind of stops. everything from hitting us. but we will eventually start to get whether associated from the pacific in terms of mostly %% clouds. but our temperatures are kinda hold, though, nice that we may even warm up a little bit towards the end of the week. mixed with that. the chance of hit or miss showers.
7:45 am
so a lot of things going on here in these models. let's go forward with all of this fairly quiet as we get out of the weekend. you can see we're getting pieces of the storm system sen during the drought. it was colin. come on. come on. now. it's like we're trying to wave away. but you get the general idea. lot of different working parts and all of this along with high pressure, we get this cloud cover the systems passing us. we might get a few stray showers. but then by saturday it gets more serious. we're still working on timing on this. the models are jumping all over the place. first. it could be as early as friday, but later, as you can see by saturday morning, rain looks to happen by next week in a matter of cost, then sunday and into monday evening or even afternoon, looks like a secondary hit. those are a little bit later, however, than other model runs are. we'll keep watching it lets you know, as we get little closer, 60 from the 4 zone forecast, san francisco to the coastal to those upper 50's. 59 going on for burlingame to the south. 61 foster city in palo alto in the south bay readings mostly in the lower 60's there. 62 san jose. 59 cupertino, east bay shoreline.
7:46 am
hang about 60 with tri valley. haven't recovered from those upper 30's so they'll scratch 60 or 59 like danville, 60 for concord. 59 berkeley, 60 balais host. 61 fairfield in napa. 62 a santa rosa about 63. interesting enough. again, a slight warm up towards the end. the week is a possibility. but we also see these passing systems of the same time. one thing is our lows will be a little bit more tempered. thank you. in the 40's that go around, however, can't sugarcoat this next weekend looks to be quite you know, today is part of the best day. you compare those 2 weekends and we can just some scattered clouds. but looking pretty good. fortunately, a dry one for superbowl weekend, at least in the bay area. yeah, that's good for that. yeah. have those umbrellas on standby. >> you bet. all right. thanks a lot, dave. well, lawmakers are vowing action against organized retail crime across the state. >> on friday on friday, members of the assembly select committee held a hearing in southern california on this issue. all right, tom wallace reports.
