candidates, you're going to see the knives come out between katie porter in at a ship. a lot has happened since the last debate. there's been the battle over the ads. you saw adam schiff get on the air. and the first thing that he did was name checked, steve garvey. it's considered a strategy within political circles for you. you identify the candidate that you want to face in november. we know what the map looks like here in the state of california. republican has not won since arnold schwarzenegger. right? so the way the math looks, this is a democratic state. so adam schiff elevates the candidate that he would like to see in november. will katie porter did not like that at right back. she fires back backs and accused him of boxing out using her words, a qualified democratic women. yeah. and so you see her double down on that. and what's interesting, too, is adam schiff in the last week has bought ads on fox news with the garvey elevating. steve, are you? so it's interesting play here. and in we're really seeing a mean voters are getting ballots as we speak there in the mail. so

inside. this is something that like frank mentioned to get them to really hone in specifically instead of saying, you know, i'm going to have this plan. we're going to add money to, you know, bring more protections to these larger cities to help curb. we really want to get them to answer specifically because voters are feeling this. they're seeing this and they're feeling unsafe and it doesn't matter. you can roll out as many statistics as you want. if people don't feel it, it's not a reality in their mind. yeah, and it's not an open book test. so we don't want to get too specific with what we're going to ask them. but, you know, you can imagine the types of questions are going to ask to talk about the border and talk about immigration to talk about the economy, about crime. >> homelessness, the things that all of us are feeling across the state. i live in los angeles. we're feeling it there. just like you're feeling it here in the bay area. so we expect the candidates not just to say yes, i feel your pain. but here's what i plan to do about sport really is not that the mayor of oakland, right? so

she's not in charge of law enforcement in oakland, but it is happening in her district. what what what's her reaction to it and what can she do if she becomes the u.s. senator? >> i also think sometimes it seems at nationwide people look like it's only our problem here in california or in the bay area gets like you said is a nationwide thing. and i think the media is giving and the national media somehow is giving us a bad name like this only happens here so they can address it nationwide. it's not just a california >> well, and to international stuff, i'm sure is going to be brought up as well because that seems to be especially the israel-hamas thing seems to be something that's causing fractures within the democratic party. yeah. i wonder how they might, you know, answer that being that is that is certainly a sort of a point of difference. and as the democrats especially on this panel, try to say, here's where i stand on that issue. >> in in. >> difference to this other candidate, right? that is, you know, ukraine funding israel
