at the end of the wrecking good morning to you. good morning and happy saint patrick's a veteran's day. i'm excited because i have some fun and delicious recipes to share with you. all right. fantastic. its most delicious. oh, thank you. and you know something, everything that i'm preparing today is actually very easy to make. so if you haven't planned okay yet, this is a great meal that you can still do today and they often feel rushed, ok, let's get started. all right. first i have bangers and mash force and that's a really fun one to because i know a lot of people do the corned beef and cabbage. that's not as traditional. >> and ireland, but we're going to do a corned beef it up. we're going to a corned beef. another time this time. it's the bangers and mash. what i did was i started off browning meidinger's first. i wanted to get them with a little crispy this on them. so i browned them first. took them out of the pan. and i just saw tate here, some onions and some garlic just to get some really good flavor. and so for those of us who
8:48 am
don't know, bangers are their sausage, pork sausage. i got my not my butcher shop locally, but if you don't find bangers, that's okay. just a park sausage of any type will work. okay. okay. so these were special from my butcher. but like i said, that's fine. so i'm going to go ahead and brownlee's look at how caramelized beautiful they and we're going to make a gravy because traditional bankers and mash have a gravy. so i'm just going to add a little bit of flour and we're going to add some delicious flavoring to this. i'm going to add some beef stock. and of course, i'm going need some help, stephanie, be ok? it's going be could meal for saint patrick's day without a little guinness. so so right we have some right so i don't need the recipe calls for an a 2 for one. guinness. so i need half of it in here are not the whole together. house for the only half of for the recipe.
8:49 am
so i pull it in. all right. yes, and see the dark richness and this will cook for a while together. and i'll make a nice thick gravy. that perfect. all right. and when i do that, i'm just going to go ahead and put these back in and let them finish cooking. because remember, i said we just round them there we go. we just brown them. so we want to make sure that they're cooked all the way. so we're going to cook them in this delicious gravy for about a half an hour. and then i'm going to pour that ride home front with some mashed potato with that gravy. and we've got to make the somewhat healthy and a little green. so i'm going to add some irony, right? i'm going add some fresh peas, but you can add carrots or if you like cabbage, you can do cabbage with it, ok? so that is the recipe here. but we need to have a dessert. of thinking since we've got a heavier meal, help out a lighter key lime pie. are you familiar with the i do love a
8:50 am
good key lime pies, right? nice and refreshing. here's a cute little key i know are a few you can get them at a farmers market or at your and all they did was squeeze a lot cause. i need about 3 quarters of a cup. a wow of the key lime. and with that i at condensed milk and to just give it a little bit more of a creamy feeling to it. i a little sour cream, ok? not a lot. just a little bit. and you know something. i bought a star bought crest if you want to make your graham crest, you know, crossed yourself. yeah, that's great. but if you buy at the store, there's no shame in your game. i say, make life a little easier, especially if you're going to do this today. you know, if you don't have a ton of time, i say do that. so what i did is i take it straight from here out of the package. you don't need to bake and then i'm going to add all of this delicious key lime look at i mean, this is delicious. and the best part of this, stephanie is i'm only could the fake it for about 10 minutes and then it sits in

the refrigerator for at least 3 hours for it to set how beautiful that love laughter, a heavy meal, something a little is good. and of course, i decorated mind with a little bit of yeah. and then also you can take if you have a couple of these leftover, it's kind nice to fuse. asked it on the is that various people now, of course, it's key lime. they'll see that that color and they'll also get that fresh flavor. and it's also green. yeah. make this look even more fun. yeah. we can see a little bit of that top of there. and it's delicious. and like i said, it's very light. so after the big meal, that's good. but of course, we want to finish off our meal. yes, with something cream to drink. i love that here. the vineyard, mom after all right. and we have to do something fun so i made, but i'm calling my lucky leprechaun. that's
8:52 am
adorable. it's a fun one team up with that. you're so head of a little trial and error. but it's tough work. but someone's got to do it. so i what this is is a combination of some apple. look, you're i'm not a lot. just a little bit of that. i also added some pineapple juice just to make it a little bit i combine that together and i put some fresh fruit in some apples and a little bit of orange just make it bright so we have that together. but the top it off with some sparkling and you like either one will work. whatever you have available, that'll work. so i'm just going to top minority have years topped off with a little bit of sparkling rush and i added some nice because i want to keep it nice and fresh. but that cream color from that really makes it look saint patrick's day more festive. so pulock, you're really does it and its fresh and it's light.
8:53 am
it's not a heavy cocktail for sure. that's always a fun one. so topping it off with a little bit of sparkling and you're good to go on that. and i'm telling you, you've got yourself fun, you know, relief and saint patrick's tamia for sure. and did you would you like me to help guard well, are you to that? it sounds like we can add some. some fresh to and citrus to we've got a look and see how pretty that looks. yeah. love way now in our last, you know, liked about 10 seconds here. you know, for the kids that they want like and non-alcoholic version. is there something that they can use? yes, i love to do a sprite one with so right with a little bit of food coloring. >> i'm always is fun with the kids. and it's a bubbly and they'll enjoy that, too. so at spray to it and it will still be a lot of from the center that thank you so much. leslie dabney, the vineyard mom for showing some incredibly fun and delicious recipes for saint patrick's. thank you. and tears we'll be right back.
