and the golden gate bridge. 37 of the tolls. going to take you 19 minutes. you're looking good there. darya. james, back to you. thank you. reyna 602. and are developing story now. the last family member, a baby has died. >> after a car ran into a bus stop in san francisco. that baby was part of a family of 4. everybody else died as well in that crash kron four's michael thomas. >> is live in san francisco with the latest on the story. michael. >> a really sad and quiet morning here in this west portal neighborhood that baby only 3 months old and was the last living family member of that family of 4 that was crashed into by a vehicle. whether waiting here this bus stop. take a look. this is a memorial that continues to grow again. this accident happened on saturday. and you can just see those messages in those photos that neighbors continue to leave. this memorial, i would say, is at least 25 feet long with numerous candles, dozens of flowers and again, lots of photos. police say that the

family of 4 was sitting here at the bus, stop waiting to head over to the zoo on saturday afternoon when 78 year-old mary lou falling or excuse me, mary fun. lou drove through a low, a street speeding in an suv crashing into the muni shelter and killing all for now the father and son who was around one years old, did die here on the scene. while the mother and infant were taken to the hospital up, another died sunday and that 3 month old baby passed away last night. they've been identified as 40 year-old diego core do so. love area. 38 year-old mathilde a moncada ramos, pinto and the oldest child was joaquin ramos, pinto love area. the name of that baby has yet to be released. the driver was also injured in those arrested at one point over the weekend for vehicular manslaughter and also reckless driving. but he's no longer in custody and is still in the hospital. she is free to go home when able to but could still face a number of charges in the coming days. as of right now, her attorney says

she is fully cooperating with investigators, but the cause of the crash is stillounknown. back out here live. just want to show you. there's numerous photos, tons of toys. and then if we move this way, you can even see they've got these tiny, just heartbreaking little shoes representing those children that lost their lives. so as we continue to get more information on, if the da does move forward with charges or what may have caused that crash will continue to keep you updated. but i would assume that this morning there probably going to be a handful of neighbors coming out adding more to this growing memorial live this morning in san francisco and michael thomas story. james, we'll send it back to you. thank you, michael. it is 604. >> to the east bay. now with the chp released dash camera footage of a freeway shooting that happened on 8.80, right near to 38 in hayward. this happened around 4 o'clock tuesday afternoon. and what you're seeing here is the suspect roll down the window and a handgun. watch that car with a 10 to 8 c that window down and then aiming a handgun at car. this recording this video as exits the freeway.

the victim fortunately wasn't hurt, but you can see the damage done here to the car. the bullet hole shattered windshield. investigators identified and arrested the suspect yesterday. he's now facing multiple felony charges. >> 605 in san jose. police have arrested a former starbucks employee of for putting cameras in a bathroom. so kron four's. rob nesbitt has more on the story. >> it's a disturbing case. san jose police say the camera was installed in the bathroom of the starbucks behind me back in january, the youngest victim caught on camera was just 4 years old. employee at the san jose starbucks on covid ave. >> first noticed the hitting camera on january 31st under the restroom sink and then called 9-1-1 to report officer tanya hernandez says the camera recorded 91 people the day before ranging from the ages of 4 to 85 years old. these craft, these this recording is graphic and >> includes multiple juvenile

victims fully exposed after nearly 2 months of investigating police arrested louis war as junior on friday for possession of child. >> and installment of the hidden camera with audio or as is also facing several gun-related charges after police discovered roughly 20 firearms at his home, including high capacity magazines and assault rifle. i spoke with starbucks customers outside the coffee shop about the arrest and hitting camera first. heard about those like that's scary. >> i don't people are thinking world launched knots. i'm glad that they caught the person. starbucks released a statement wednesday saying, quote. >> this is a deeply disturbing incident and we are grateful for the quick and thorough response from the san jose police department and apprehending the suspect. we cannot overstate the importance of providing a safe environment for our customers and partners. this incident is very scary. want the public to be aware just to be i'm aware of their surroundings. investigators are hoping to speak with some of the victims. if you are at the san jose starbucks back on january, 30th between the

times of 09:00am and 07:00pm and you think you might be one of them. you're asked to contact the san jose police department reported in san jose. i'm rob nesbitt. kron. 4 it's 607, and a san francisco police officer has been found guilty. >> of groping a woman at a bar in the marina. back in december of 2021, the officer, michael herrera, was off duty at the time sitting next to a couple and a bar. the bar located on lombard and webster streets. herrera then became aggressive and groped the victim. he now faces up to one year in county jail and has to register as a offender for 10 years. sentencing hearing set for may. on the peninsula. 3 women who say they were sexually assaulted by former bay area police officer have one. a 35 million dollar lawsuit now against the city of san mateo and 2019, former san mateo police officer. no winchester was convicted of sexually assaulting for women.

the 3 women in this case sued the san mateo police department saying that the department ignored red flags when making the decision to hire winchester, including reports that he was a suspect of other assaults while he was an officer in sacramento. attorneys say the winchester rape the winter when the women under the threat of arrest or incarceration, he was sentenced to 81 years to life in prison. >> 608, is the time kron. 4 is your local election headquarters and proposition one is officially projected to pass. the race is still too close to because the margins which are in the yes, no or so saying that. but as now we know the measure will allows the state to borrow millions to tackle the homeless crisis that we're dealing with. and kron four's will tran is standing by live in walnut creek to explain morning. well. >> james, it will be millions,

but it will turn into billions because with the passing a prop one, the state can now borrow an additional 6 billion dollars to tackle the homeless issue on top of already spending. 22 billion dollars during newsom administration. governor newsom, the election was more than 2 weeks ago, but it was so razor thin that he did not come out and declare a victory in till last night. so prop one allows the state to tap enacted law back in 2004 that requires counties to use 2 thirds of the tax money on millionaires to go to housing programs for the homeless to tackle that particular issues. substance abuse to try to tackle the issue that has been a crisis in california for decades. governor newsom has spent 22 billion dollars with very little success to the point where people say if he tried to run for the white house, his opponents will bring that up. prop one will

allow the state to use the tax money and also tap into borrow funds. as i mentioned, 6 billion dollars. additionally to get people into programs to try to sure the situation at the very least, bring it down as far as what's going on in california. governor newsom, as i said, he waited until the very last moment when he was clear that they would be a victory. take a look at your screen. he took the axe and this is what he said late last night. he says the biggest change california has seen in decades. now it's time to get to work, repairing the damage caused by decades of broken promises and neglect to those suffering from severe mental illness. thank california. now i can tell you that the governor, he spent 13 million dollars. i mean, he raised 13 million dollars for prop one. the opponent just $1000. and even then prop one past by a razor thin margin.

>> it's 6.14, in here for things that you need to know. a second person has died from injuries in a shooting in pleasant hill. and we told you about yesterday it happened tuesday. peter povich was working as a cannabis delivery driver when 2 people, police say tried to rob him povich and the men started shooting at each other. he was killed and one of the attackers was shot and died at the hospital. the other attacker is on the run. a richmond man faces charges accused of having more than 200 illegal guns. millions of rounds of ammunition and homemade explosives. police found the guns in lawrence, robert hanssen, his home when they arrested him for an

give you some good afternoon. sunshine going on here, too. there comes the cloud cover marine layer ever. so typical the morning tomorrow. we're ok, so we get through the morning commute. we're already app oaching late morning at this point when the rain is starting to encroach the northern part of the north bay. this is very winter, typical pathway compared all that crazy tracks that the storm system to taking this season. there's the coverage to the bases takes all day to get down here and cover up the what your evening commute that will be treated to all of that rain going forward and it will come with winds, too. by the way, saturday looks like we're looking for rain again. however, that will be kind of light rain with patches of moderate rain showers throughout the day. but in all of this, including that first batch, there is the chance of thunder showers. it looks to be in the sacramento valley, but we might see some pop up in parts of the bay, particularly on sunday because we're going to be better. daytime heating. here's a look at those current numbers. we got a lot of 50's cover the east bay and this is warmer than we saw from yesterday to

the up in the north bay where they were still looking. a lot of 40's at this hour. 49 going on for napa 15 and also for santa rosa. now, this other part of this storm system will be tomorrow now will be winds. we're looking at good, strong onshore wind. advance this for friday morning. just kind of a light wind at that point by the afternoon when the storm gets here, right your drive home on friday. there you have it. pretty active on shore. it will be no wind advisory because it doesn't reach the criteria and timing and intensity, but still will be a bit of annoyance for your travels. so breaking everything down. we're talking about clouds, a few inland clearing a few clouds in little clear out highs around 70. we're going turn to similar numbers, but it's tomorrow that things will change. we got the rain coming in the winds, but we don't get a temperature correction until the weekend because it's going to take all day to get into the east bay. so for the weekend it's rain short. talk about that earlier with the moderate rain showers embedded with a lighter but sunday, a few showers clearing navy's. we might get some sunshine for you. that may produce an isolated thunder shower, too.

shot at a suspect who was carrying they say was carrying a gun. they say the suspect suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was given immediate medical care. now the shooting happened back in january after investigators say 2.18 year-olds were involved in a police chase. the chase started in american canyon and ended with the crash that you just saw there in vallejo. authorities say police chase both of them until they crashed and then tried to run away. the deputy who fired shots has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. ongoing problems of shoplifting and loitering. teens now has a bay area. police chief reaching out to safely executives for help. some basketball police chief ronald nelson wrote a letter to safeway's regional president expressing his concerns about the safeway on north main just down the street from amalie high school. he says the problem of high school students loitering and engaging in theft is creating problems now for customers, especially in the afternoon when school lets out. in the letter, chief nelson says his department has been providing additional

patrols during those after school hours, but they don't have the resources to do that over time. the chiefs want safe way to hire security and loss prevention, staff and work together with the police department to curb crime. a safeway spokesman, by the way, tells us that they're looking now into the chiefs concerns what you know, what stuart decides to do. >> time now, 6, 20 and in national news crunch time for congress. they're trying to pass the government funding deal before the deadline which is tomorrow. yeah. washington correspondent hannah brandt joins us live from dc with more on that. we'll see if they can get it done. hanna, good morning. >> james darya. good morning. yeah, we're certainly watching closely here. we know that the full text of this major spending package was just released to lawmakers overnight. and like you said, with the funding deadline tomorrow, that doesn't really give them a lot of time to read this package. let alone to pass it. >> congress finally has a spending deal some very tough

negotiation. but large portions of the government run out of money on friday. and it's unclear if lawmakers will be able to pass the funding package by then. that is my hope that will. house speaker mike johnson expresses optimism about getting it done. some republicans are frustrated that the process is being rushed. i'm probably going to be kicking and screaming about it. it's a simple no, because they always graham stuff in there. that's unintentional or nobody knows it's in but democratic leaders in the house say they expect most of their members to back the bills. we look forward to putting up votes to pass this mini bus. even if the house gets the package passed on time, this senate still has to vote on it, too. it's going to be a tight squeeze to get this funding package passed before the weekend deadline. in order to do that, every senator would have to agree to speed up the process and some say they are willing to do that. once we get this bill. >> we shouldn't forced to rush to judgment on that leaves lawmakers facing the possibility of missing the friday deadline. real. i couldn't be here this weekend.

22 years, they have ensured their home with farmers insurance. earlier this month, the couple got a letter from the company saying their policy was canceled field and i feel scared. we've never filed a claim. and it's all due to our address being close to a wildfire area. >> that too quickly hired insurance brokers to find a new insurance company. the search that's getting more difficult by the day. and we were denied by 157 insurance companies. no one will take us. i mean, even today i received 7 o'clock. the niles, if the couple does not get insurance, they can lose their home. the state does offer a last resort option. the california fair plan melendez have applied for it, but they say it's not an affordable option. costa, 6% higher and it's less coverage for us. my husband retired, run a fixed income. and we don't have a lot of options. gretchen says they can't even sell their home, putting them between a

mike mcguire says legislation needs to be passed to protect homeowners. we need a pathway. >> for that homeowner to get renewed once again in back into the traditional insurance policy. what i'd like is a moratorium to force these private insurance companies to stay in california at affordable rates that we can pay for insurance to keep a shelter at home for us. >> home insurance, regulation reform is being discussed at the capitol. but people like them a lenghi say if something isn't done soon, they could lose it all and they're not alone. they say their neighbors are going through the same struggles. i'm sara stinson reporting in santa rosa. back to you. >> thank you, sarah. 6.35. is the time now. the standard 6% realtor commission on buying or selling a home is apparently coming to an end. it's due to a massive 418 million dollar settlement with the national association of realtors. that settlement

stems from a federal lawsuit accusing the trade group of inflating real estate agent commissions. now most homesellers currently pay about 5 to 6% in commission fees for a million dollar home. that could be anywhere from 50 to $60,000 in fees. real estate experts say the settlement could create a more competitive housing market. >> you list a half or so. there's always a listing agreement. now there's going to be a buyer removed and it is positive in a way and we're all going to have adjust to not knowing what the commission is on the house. and if a seller is not willing to pay a commission, then we're going to have to talk to the wise about paying a commission. >> but a federal court still has to approve. the settlement will see what happens. >> 6.35 and we have new details now on a deadly shooting in pleasant hill. a second person has died from their injuries. peter popovich, she was working as a cannabis delivery driver on tuesday afternoon went to a condo complex on twin bridge circle and that is when 2

people who are armed tried to rob him. popovich was also armed legally, there was a shootout and popovich was killed. he ended up dying. police say one of the attackers. 21 year-old trayvon davis was also shot and he ended up dying in the hospital. the other attacker is on the loose. still, police have not released a description of that person. a richmond man is accused of having more than 200 illegal guns. millions of rounds of ammunition and homemade explosives. they were all found at the home of lawrence, robert hanssen. there are 21 gun-related charges. he now faces. police went to his home on sunday for an outstanding warrant for threatening a staff member at a medical center and walnut creek. he is prohibited from owning firearms and investigators found 11 machine guns and more than 60 assault rifles and

also homemade explosives. he has pleaded not guilty. he's being held now without bail due back in court on march, 27th. >> uc berkeley professor is now protesting the university amid growing concerns of anti-semitism, chair of israel. studies professor ron hassner prompted sleep in on campus this week. he says he started the sleep inn after a pro-palestinian, a pro palestine demonstration last month forced police to evacuate attendees and in israeli speaker at an event on campus in response, hundreds of students, faculty and alumni gathered on campus saying school leaders are doing nothing or at least doing not enough to protect jewish students from anti-semitism. pastor says his goal is to get attention from administrators, not necessarily to embarrass them. i wanted to find a way to protest. that was not confrontational. >> that sent a very clear message of support for jewish students. that was perhaps a little for campus
