saturday night, while trying to land at the truckee tahoe airport. >> person in texas has tested positive for the avian influenza otherwise known as bird flu. texas health officials say the person had direct exposure to dairy cattle, presumed to be infected. the patients who experienced i information as your only symptom was tested for flu late last week. that person is now being treated with an anti-viral medication. the risk for the general public remains low. the cdc says this is the second human case of bird flu in the u.s. and the first linked to exposure to cattle the cattle infections do not present a concern for the commercial milk supply. state lawmakers introduced a package of bills today that they say will help prevent discrimination. >> and harassment at california universities among the proposals. it's a bill calling on each university to set up a campus title 9 office to investigate harassment allegations. another bill would require the state auditor to review university

>> crack down junk health insurance. the biden administration has just finalized plans to limit short-term health insurance plans. 2, 3, months with the option for a one-month renewal. this is a big u-turn on trump era policy that allowed people to have those plans for up to 4 years. last administration took that provision which is very narrow. >> for a limited emergency coverage and made a loophole. so maybe the for the white house is spending the move as a way to protect consumers. >> arguing that short term plans do not offer comprehensive care. they're being told you can pay this incredibly low pricing, a good insurance, but it turns out it's not. but turns, in fact, is i really insurance at all. >> but critics say the biden administration just wants people to stick with it on brand of affordable care saying it is taking away consumer choices and creating another problem. >> creates gaps in health insurance. some health policy experts are calling the rule change.

sheriff's deputies rescued a man who they say was clinging to the side of a cliff after falling last night. this is near battery alexander in the golden gate, national recreation area around 7.30, last night. marin county authorities say fell about 50 to 60 feet. helicopters able to spot him and send a line down to hoist him up. no word tonight on his condition. >> another setback for storm battered section of highway one along the central landslides closed another portion of the historic roadway between big sur and carmel by the sea. a nearly one and a half mile portion of the southbound lane just crumbled into the sea on saturday trapping about 2000 tourists in the area. caltrans says the daily convoys will lead essential travelers through the closed area from 8 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon. officials are asking people to obviously avoid this area. has been a problem area for years and years. i mean, that highway

there and enjoy some skiing on maybe a toboggan if you want to do that, enjoy out there little to down the side of the roads or why not a beautiful up there in the high country. the roads now are opening clear. if you want to head in that direction, 50 and in are both looking good right now. seeing get up there tomorrow is looking like a great day temperatures. yeah, of course. a little bit chilly and is 37 degrees incline village tahoe city at 37. 45 degrees in south lake tahoe. and these numbers going to be fairly a spring-like the next couple days. in fact, these numbers so headed up in the 50's, the showers begin to move in, though, as we head in toward wednesday and then that colder air comes in and we're back to snow again late wednesday and into thursday. so big changes in the works and a lot more snow on the way. it's impressive. now as we're going to see that other series of storms roll in and the high country, we could be talking about another couple of feet of snow across some of the higher peaks in the sierra nevada. and that is great news. as we look toward our long, dry months ahead. so out the door right we're going to see changes on the way right now. it is nice and clear around the state. but then the clouds going start former roll

is contacting affected current customers to reset pass codes and is providing necessary credit monitoring where applicable. google says it will destroy or d identify data it collected from people who used in cognito mode in its chrome web browser. >> it's part of a class action settlement filed in federal court in california where google account holders accused the company of illegally tracking their private behavior. the settlement also includes a new warning on chrome's incognito mode. it says, quote, others who use this device won't senior activity so you can browse more privately. this won't change how data is collected by websites you visit and the services they use, including google. vineyards have been affected by wildfires. smoke a great troubling drought conditions over the years. but now a shift in drinking habits is causing a over abundant supply of wine globally. california growers say that they're left competing with bargain basement. wind brought in in bulk from overseas and

southward into san mateo. 66 in oakland and you've got 66 63 degrees in san francisco. so nice weather pattern out there right now. beautiful all around much of the state drying out after another storm over the weekend. but now the clouds cleared out just a bit tonight we see that sea breeze return, i think at least along the coastline that will begin to cool the temperatures off the couple fall of patches of fog beachside. but many spots inland still looking good. high pressure still in control. that jet stream staying to the north. and that is going to hold off that storm track right now. at least for the next couple of days. and then we'll start to talk about some rain later on in the week. you see here, too, as we head through the night tonight, couple patchy fog form along the coastline. getting a wednesday, a few more clouds come our way. the showers begin to move in northern california. then that rain rolls back in on thursday. this looks a little more bullish than it did last week, too. showers continuing into friday as well and cold temperatures to go along with that more snow over the mountain tops then over the weekend. slight chance of a couple sprinkles as we get to sunday to temperatures. yeah. tomorrow is going to be a gorgeous day. let's enjoy that
