9:03 am
entire story starting from the beginning. the port of oakland says it sees nothing wrong with adding the words. san francisco bay to the oakland airport's name. but the city of san francisco does and so do some of oakland's residents. >> can say i like the name cause. i live here not only because going to san francisco and the last is something, you know, one of the people who don't live here, they don't even know the san francisco has since filed a federal lawsuit regarding the name change and it feels it will cause confusion for travelers. but oakland officials say they took a survey from some customers that seem to like the idea. >> but the san francisco city attorney david chiu says he finds it hard to believe we had a chance. finally to take a look at their so-called customer survey. and it was riddle. >> with all sorts of issues, it was essentially a survey that push respondent's toward the answers that they wanted. it didn't give them the direct choice the city attorney has offered to work with oakland's board to find a middle ground and some alternative names that would be less oakland

market just right around the corner from the ferry building. so this is beach front property. no doubt about it. but google says they are struggling to decide whether or not to allow employees to spend more time at home are come to the office just like many other businesses, you might think that might not be a big deal. a lot of businesses are doing that as well. but when it comes to san francisco. this is another hit for the city because it's been dealing with a public relations problem with so many businesses leaving entirely or leaving many other locations and only leaving some places behind just like google. so google will still have offices around san francisco, but not this one come next year in san francisco, of course. well aware that fighting that public perception locally as well as nationally. take a look at your screen. we reached out to google and they reached back and this is their
