pro-palestinian protests are coming to an end at some bay area colleges. >> student demonstrators at u c berkeley and san francisco state announced tonight they have reached agreements with school administration. thanks for being with me tonight on kron. 4 news at 11, i'm grant lotus. this is what is left of the encampment that has been set up on campus for 3 weeks now at u c berkeley in tonight, chancellor carol crist sent a letter to the academic senate saying they've reached an agreement with what is known as the divest coalition. she also wrote another letter to the demonstrators at the encampment saying she'll create a committee to look over the investments in will consider divestment. she says they will fully divest but will look into weapons, manufacturing and surveillance industries. and student protesters at san francisco state also reached an agreement with administrators tonight, the group announced tonight that the school's president committed to divest from weapons manufacturers and create a workforce that will develop new screenings for

investments, pro-palestinian protest that's of state have had an encampment there on campus for a couple weeks now. they have scheduled a press conference for tomorrow afternoon. and school leaders at san jose state have given their students that ultimatum protesters had until 6 o'olock tonight to clear their encampment. but as kron 4 jack molmud reports now students say they have no plans to leave any time soon. encampment here, it says the state has officially been going on for more than a day, but it wasn't even supposed to make it that far with the faculty asking students here to pack up and leave by earlier in the evening on tuesday. obviously the students to do that. >> another have a monumental task on their hands, which is to convince the san jose state administration to abide by their demands by graduation next week. >> what started as daytime the state's campus is now a 24 7

encampment. >> because i understand that our campus is very silent and complicit with not only genocide, but also as 9 around. 70 protesters asking the university to abide by their demands. professor of justice studies saying kill is the adviser for some of the students here. the students in solidarity each other decided to launch a popular university for gaza. and another point of contention is tommy smith, the 1960, at olympia who famously raised his fist in the support of human rights, posted an instagram, his support for the protesters. san jose state. on the other hand says they for the opposite from smith and the other and libyan bear. john carlos, i do think that. >> makes the administration a little bit nervous about this encampment, even existing so close to graduation. meantime, back on campus, the deadline to move out has passed. no police and no forcing out saying kill says she wants to

recall election during the general election. they have the option of choosing a special election this summer or to put the issue on the november ballot. nearly 100 people showed up for public comment ahead of the supervisors. vote prices. opponents push for a special election in august or september, arguing the public safety is at risk. the longer she remains d a but price and her supporters, they wanted to wait until november to avoid the added costs for taxpayers. one of price's supporters behind the group prosecutors alliance action issued this statement that reads in part, we're glad that today the board of supervisors decided to do the right thing and save taxpayers. millions by putting the recall election on the november ballot. this will ensure that the most voters possible will have their voice heard in this important decision. but the future of public safety in the community. da price has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in oakland kron 4 will

that fog along the coastline, keeping you cool toward the beaches, warm sunshine in the bay and the valleys should be a nice day tomorrow, many spots inland. but look at the difference. you see the 50's in the san francisco here in the upper 70's in san jose. all right. thanks, lawrence. new at 11 tonight, a man has been charged for the death of 2 women in san lorenzo. >> investigators found the women dead inside their home on modi avenue earlier this month after their family members reported neither had responded to phone calls or texts since the end of april. investigators identified the suspect as howard reed, who they say was living with the women. reid was arrested in kansas and is being brought back to california. police in san jose are asking for the public's help. they're trying to find a assault suspect. 50 year-old julian martinez is accused of pulling a young girl under a freeway overpass and sexually assaulting her. this is april knife. investigators say he was riding a dark colored bicycle. the girl managed to fight him

off. martinez that took off on the bike. he's described as 5.11, dark hair. and you see the mustache there. multi-agency investigation has ended with the arrest of 2 people, including a 17 year-old accused of robbing 2 postal workers. and then leading police on a chase in a stolen car before crashing into a tree. police in belmont reported the first incident about one 30 saturday afternoon at an apartment complex on old county road. the usps worker said she was rob smith, threw her to the ground forcefully, took her postal service keys that about an hour later. a postal worker at palo alto was robbed of his keys at gunpoint. police say they recovered the stolen keys and both incidents as well as 2 airsoft pistols. fremont police are investigating after several vehicles were vandalized at the tesla fremont factory. the discovery was made early yesterday morning at the factory on fremont boulevard several parts vehicles had their tires

some sunshine as we head toward the middle of the day in the afternoon and looks like as we get toward the weekend just to see some patchy fog again and some more sunshine. but here we go. temperatures cool off along the coastline inside the bay. still some warmer spots hanging out inland. still, 71 in britain. now 68 degrees in vacaville and 65 in calistoga. but low clouds and fog going to surge well onshore overnight tonight and into the bay. so really kind of fill in and see the model started paint some green on models trying to pick up on some drizzle. tomorrow morning. the commute? yeah, maybe a little bit damp along the coastline. so watch out for those slick in the slickness on the roads. otherwise you can see sunshine by noontime. if you want to step out inside and enjoy a day in the sun, you'll see that inside the bay. but along the coastline plan staying cool up toward the beaches. i think the fog and the kind of just lapping at the coastline, the better part of the day. and then by the evening hours again, surging back on shore right to the golden gate, right to december. no gap. you see it start to bounce something at these bales and we get ready to march back. well, onshore again. temperatures looking a whole lot like summer now around the bay area got 50's and low 60's

in the parts of san francisco, coastal areas where you see all the gray, of course, you can see the cooler numbers generally in the 50's there. but boys you get inside the bay warms up nicely. 67 degrees in millbrae. a beautiful 69 in san mateo. really comfortable weather. 72 in redwood city. 72 also mount dew, the south bay after a couple patches of fog in the morning. lots of sunshine and very nice weather in the afternoon is going to warm 70 some low 80's, maybe size. 84 degrees in saratoga. the east bay starting out a couple of patches of fog and then you're also going to plenty of sunshine and nice numbers as well. generally in the 70's and the 80's there about 75 degrees. oakland, 76 in hercules. 69 degrees in blytheville and about 70 in napa. so really nice weather ahead here in the pattern is going to hold. i think over the next couple days, just some minor changes in the pattern may be a few more clouds as we get into late friday and the weekend looks good to just a little bit cooler in about saturday sunday, monday of next week. but right now, a steady as she goes. not a bad pattern. oblique been, but boy, that she amazing. wow. can you
