5:00 pm
>> from the bay area's local news station. we begin now with breaking news. >> and that breaking news tonight is in san francisco
5:01 pm
where police have just confirmed to us there on the scene of a police shooting in the bay view. appreciate joining us tonight on kron. 4 news at 5. i'm grant lotus and i'm noelle bellow. police say no one is injured. we do have video of the scene from the citizen app. multiple officers responding. >> 2 jennings street and carroll avenue this evening. you can see the road there is blocked off with police tape. we've reached out to the police to find out what led up to the shooting and any other details they could share. we will update you as soon as we hear back from police. >> also breaking at this hour, firefighters right now are on scene of 2 separate brush fires that are burning in antioch. you can see the smoke here from this pg e camera. it's been sped up, but you can tell the wind is a factor here. one fire is off slayton ranch road. another is near marina plaza, which is currently about a half acre in size. the other one a bigger

still burning at this hour or so. it's unclear if there is any containment on the fire. it's also unclear if there could be any connection between the 2 fires. but we'll certainly continue to keep you updated on air and online as we learn more. it's been a warm day in the bay, not especially hot, know well, but you can see what the winds are doing there. yeah, definitely. we've been dealing with these when since yesterday as well. when there is that large fired on the peninsula. >> we saw how that wind was really taking a lot of that smoke towards different cities. and it looks like in this video, a similar situation here. as you mentioned, it's been warm, i know we're headed for a cooldown, but what's going on weather-wise? well, this is that time of the day where we get those strong sea breeze is starting to kick in. so if you do get fires and boy and some of those grassy areas, that's where these fires can really begin to run through. so. >> out there right now, we are looking at those winds picking up. you can see in the antioch area right now we're seeing some of those winds blowing to
5:03 pm
25 miles an hour that delta breeze working its way right on through. and so that's a concern because that can get those and blowing through these a grassy field and push that fire along fairly quickly. so watching very closely as will see those winds continuing to ramp up here probably through the next couple of hours before the sun set and then begin to die down after that. hopefully they can get a handle on that fire before burns to 4. but in the meantime, though, we are looking at what looks like a really nice day outside. overall we've got sunshine are all around the bay area. little hazy out there over the bay. temperatures have been nice, but a little bit cooler today running in the 70's couple, low 80's. well inland 60's and 70's around the bay and 50's along the coastline. we've got a major change in the weather pattern come in for tomorrow and the beginning of the holiday weekend. we'll have more on that coming up in a few minutes. >> lawrence, thank you. it is the unofficial start of summer now as millions of americans are hopping in their cars or headed to the airport for a quick getaway, taking a live
