areas resulting in the formation of some fog out near the coastline and a pretty steady breeze from the coast is going to try transport a little bit of that into the bay shore at some points this morning. overall, though, the biggest thing you're going to notice about today is the fact that temperatures don't warm all that much from where we're at right now for a lot of spots. we're currently sitting in the 50's for most of the bay area. a few 40's up in the north bay. look at where daytime highs are going to be. most of us along the bay shore will rise just into the low 60's where some of our inland areas barely hit the low 70's. all of your full roundup of temperatures for today in tomorrow's cool down. all still to come for your roads, things out there moving just fine. of course, it is the beginnings of the holiday weekend. so you're probably going to have a that out less noticeable of the morning commute. it's already friday, which is usually friday late anyway. so think it's going to be a pretty nice one. if you are still working this morning. >> reyna. all right, john, thank you for developing news,

a high school graduation ceremony ends with gunshots. oakland police say a man and a woman were hurt and 2 people were detained. the shooting happened around 7.45. last night skyline. high schools, graduation ceremony. so police say some sort of fight might have led up to that shooting and they're now looking for other possible suspects. >> there are some reports some kind of that is being looked into. we do know there multiple suspects, but we're trying to identify exactly how many. >> some students told us that they actually heard the gunshots as the ceremony was taking place and that people were running as the students were taken to the gym locker room for safety. >> everybody was you know, graduation people still first

2005 was there with those partners. they had like a bad man. >> unlike after that, as you see, everyone started ready use it was like 20 shots. those the >> well, police did not confirm how many shots were fired, but they did say this was an isolated incident. another person was also reportedly hit by gunyire and showed up to a hospital on their own. police have not said anything about a 3rd injury in that shooting. however, police said the man and the woman who are hurt are expected to be okay. police in san francisco are now investigating the shooting in the bay view where they say at least one officer fired his gun citizens. video shows many officers in the area of jennings street in carroll avenue yesterday. they say they got a report of someone with a rifle. when officers arrived, they found the suspect. one officer ended up firing their gun and they say the suspect was not shot. he was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries for what they say was a less lethal use of force, but they

did not specify what kind of force the police department says they're going to hold a town hall meeting within the next 10 days. we have an update on a story we first brought you yesterday morning. antioch police are still looking for man who to contra costa county fair employees. we now know nearly $90,000 stolen from the employees. police say the employees were depositing the money at a bank on summer's hill road at to monday morning. the suspects pressed a gun to the back of one of the took off with a bag full of cash. police have only describe the suspect as a man win dark colored clothing and a mask. police are looking to evidence to see if they can identify him. well, people living in an encampment in sandra fell are now speaking out this and nearby businesses been blasting pretty loud music at them for the last 3 nights as kron four's. sara stinson reports a federal judge is now involved or the business to stop. >> people who live in this

encampment say over the weekend music was blaring coming from the business next door they say was happening in the overnight hours. one man even described it as psychological warfare saying he's relieved to federal court, ordered the music to stop. i'm thankful. >> that's how loud it was. rock concert loud, the second and 3rd night, i was unable to sleep at bruce moved into this refill encampment last year following a series of unfortunate events. >> i stopped to get medications for mental illness in barstow, california and mike rupp was stolen while it was in their says music started playing loudly overnight friday from the business east bay tire i called the police tend the police did nothing about it. so he decided to call homeless advocate paulsen, who came down to the encampment to start documenting it. we take took good decibel readings of the >> of the sound ant we

busy week for attorneys representing david de pap the man convicted at a federal level of attacking paul pelosi, the husband of congresswoman nancy pelosi. the pap said to be re-sentenced on tuesday for his federal conviction. but at the state level, things are just getting started. kron four's ken wayne, top attorney michael cardoza on what we can expect. >> the judge in the federal case said she made a mistake. what happened? well, what she did was after she's sentenced a pop. she realized she didn't give him the opportunity to make a statement to the court and then federal court, i think over 80% of defendants want to say something to the court. one of the big things i noted was that the prosecution after the case said he showed no remorse at all. and a lot of people start to giggle that that. and so we'll wait a minute. didn't give him a chance to show any remorse or to talk. so basically it's not a small point. it's not going

to reverse this case. it's not going i think have much effect would be shocked if the judge after listening to hip-hop, if he decides to talk whether she reduces that or not, and he still has a state case which could add more prison time to what he's already. >> yeah, well, i i when i was a prosecutor a lot of state prosecutor to case and the federal government had a case they would often times just drop in and say, ok, you've got convicted in state court or vice versa. in this case, they're not doing that in a lot of people are asking. >> well, not double jeopardy. you're being tried for the same thing is really not because the state has added 4, 5 different counts. one of which is, of course, the attempted murder case and issue is, are elements to for an improving the cases in the

here, sprinkles up there in those mountainous areas, looking at futurecast today is going to be a mostly sunny one. but a few clouds here and there as we move into tomorrow. notice the sierra seized that opportunity of a few showers, bay area may see a very brief sprinkle more. so if you missed the spots, especially towards the coastline, but as far as rainfall goes, nothing much to be reported. eureka around a 10th of an inch at most. again, the sierra may see a couple light sprinkles. again. this is nothing to cancel plans over, but just a heads up. if you are in those higher elevations are further up north. that potential, especially tomorrow does exist 50's to 60's and san francisco as well as at the coastline and then pretty solid 60's for most of the rest of us. a few low 70's barely hanging on in a few areas, but not even for the south bay. san jose. you're down to 68 degrees today. east bay temperatures the low to mid 60's for you. well, oakland at 63 conquered

say they've been fighting for a contract with alcatraz city cruises for about 2 years negotiations between the 2 sides in it yesterday without a new contract, the workers operate the only ferry service to and from alcatraz voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike yesterday. the union says they would like a fair deal. >> want to get this thing done as soon as possible. we do not want to advance disadvantage the community. and, you know, folks that are trying to get back to the island, but we have to take care of our members and, you know, get this fairground. >> statement to kron 4 from alcatraz city cruises reads in part, quote, disappointed the union with threaten our passengers, partners and the community with a potential disruption of those services, the state for comfort that if there is a labor dispute, it will have no impact on our operations. as of now, there's no set date when the 2 sides are going to meet again for negotiations when a strike could actually happen. hartman

justice filed a lawsuit against ticketmaster and its parent company this week. it accuses the company of having an illegal monopoly over concerts and live events. washington correspondent maddie beer-temple joins us live with more on that. good morning. maddie. >> good morning. yeah, the justice department says this legal challenge could potentially lead to cheaper concert tickets. they argue that ticketmaster's practices have hurt competition and driven up prices for fans. >> the department of justice is taking ticketmaster to court. it is time. >> to break up live nation. ticketmaster attorney general merrick garland said thursday the doj and 29 states plus dc are suing ticketmaster and its parent company live nation. >> alleging they have an illegal monopoly over live events. it controls at least 80% of primary ticketing at major concert venues. the lawsuit says the company has its hand in nearly every part of the industry and blocks

venues from using multiple ticket sellers. the result is that fans paying more in fees. artists have fewer opportunities to play concerts, smaller promoters, get squeezed out and venues have fewer real choices for ticketing services. a post on live nation's website calls the allegations baseless and says they ignore the real factors behind higher ticket prices. the company said in a statement, quote, the doj is lawsuit won't solve the issues fans care about relating to ticket prices, service fees and access to in-demand shows. now, according to the doj, ticketmaster owns or controls more than 265 concert venues in north america. >> and dozens of amphitheaters in washington. i'm maddie beer-temple. >> all right. thank you for that break down maddy. still ahead, the kron 4 morning news east bay woman gets her truck that after someone stole it. find out how the was able to get into a truck in the first

man was sentenced to more than 5 years in federal prison for bank robbery. brandon elder pleaded guilty last december to bank robbery stemming from 2022. in san francisco, prosecutors say elder went into a bank in the marina district and demanded money. they say a teller gave him

more than $10,000 they say was arrested in pleasant hill. 2 days later, shoplifting from a target in addition prison, elder will have to complete a year supervised release after he gets out. man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of the 29 year-old san mateo county woman who officials say died of a fentanyl overdose. investigators say sarah tillman was found dead in her home last year. they tell us they found text messages with her alleged drug dealer. according to the lawsuit, 2 months before death, tillman war, the dealer that he had nearly killed her with the drugs he sold or and may of 2023. he sold drugs laced with fentanyl. again, that ended up killing her. the suspected dealer set to return to court in september for a preliminary hearing. meantime, the group working to recall mayor sheng thao plans to update the p.blic today on where they stand in a recall effort so oakland united to recall, shannon tell also known as als, says it collected more

than 30,000 signatures 2 months ahead of the deadline. they're required to get 25,000 signatures by july to get the recall on the november ballot. the group says they are pushing the recall because they're fed up with crime. they say they plan to file after overreaching 40,000 signatures oust will hold a press conference this morning 11 to discuss the matter. mayor thao still cross for previously that the recall campaign is being organized by her political opponents who previously ran against her. pretty busy day for firefighters on antioch. this fire behind you started around 5 yesterday evening. this is right off a sleet ranch road. we don't have any details about how big it got and the containment, meanwhile, around the same time, another fire started right near the marina plaza. that one burned about 5 acres there. and rescue and the north bay of a man fell

>> welcome back to the kron. 4 morning news. we are inching closer to 5.30, for a lot of the planning. the weekend festivities may be getting on the road. the weather supposed to be a nice win for us. weny dot. yeah, it's cooler. that's for sure. nothing too terribly hot out there. we are seeing a little bit of fog trying to form out along the coastline and streaming on into the golden gate this morning. >> it's not resulting in visibility issues. you can see visibility is just fine across the region. but that cold ocean areas sweeping in a little bit more today. and this paired with the passing low pressure area is making for quite the noticeable cool down specially today and tomorrow with those brisk winds. you definitely want to throw the jacket on today. don't be forgetting. it is. you're getting out and about for battle. rocker any other festivities, especially through saturday. temperatures in the 40's to 50's. currently. it's a cool start. take a look at where we're going to be later on today. daytime highs only in the 60's actually for most of the bay

long-standing restaurant and fisherman's wharf suing san francisco. so the suit alleges the city failed to do its job, maintaining the wharf and keeping the area to coal to protect against erosion way. the suit also claims homelessness and crime in the area for venting the restaurant from being successful. they're asking for financial reimbursement for recent improvements made to to restaurants. the city attorney's office released a statement in response to the lawsuit saying, quote, over the last year, the owner has attempted a number of maneuvers to get out of paying the 1.7 million dollars. owes the city in back. rent. this appears to be yet another attempt. however, once we are served with the lawsuit, we're going to review it and respond in court. was jumping up and down when i saw it coming down. >> the road because cops came in first and then the go. we've got we've got it. and they

>> well, a castro valley woman relieved after her stolen truck was found crossers. rob nesbitt caught up with the woman in the parking lot where the truck was stolen to begin with. >> there was so much garbage ask stephanie goose eat hoops about her blue toyota tacoma and called the trucker prized possession. that's why it was so upsetting when she could not find her keys after shopping at this petco in castro valley, she had triple and lock the vehicle in the parking lot but no keys inside. that's when she feared her keys had been stolen. the dot all the information in my truck. >> just in case somebody came back and stole that. sure enough 9.30, that night. her and 2 accomplices came back and stole my truck. she called 9-1-1 to report that a truck had been stolen. detective kristen fegley and the alameda county sheriff's regional auto theft task force began investigating. >> searching for a blonde woman caught on surveillance video picking up to see toups keys from the ground. i think
