>> news station, this 11. >> now at 11 chaos erupts outside of a bochy tournament in the north bay. a car crash in a shooting sends one person to the hospital. good evening and thank you for joining us for kron. 4 news at 11. i'm dan sanibel. police say possibly multiple suspects are on the loose tonight after a shootout outside bochy ball tournament. one person was shot taken to a hospital and all this went down shortly after 4 o'clock in the afternoon outside bochy marin where people at the tournament say they feared for their lives. kron four's jack moment has the latest. >> well, sandra fell. police say if anybody witnessed the shootings to please step forward and offer what information they do have because, of course, there still are those suspects on the loose. now, police tell me it actually happened in not

one but 2 separate locations. those reports of shots fired happening in front of dozens of people. >> workers at marine bochy tell us at least 6 cars were damaged after 2 cars sped down the street saturday afternoon setting off a crash scene here. many of these cars belonging to tournament players but former but bochy executive director jessica levy in what she saw next shook her to her 2 guys get out of one car and there's they started shooting at the other guys. you know, everybody was shaken up. she says the people shooting at each other. we're all young matt. >> and one was shot in the abdomen. she says everybody scattered. yeah, that that the sound of the terror of everybody screaming and then gunshots >> we are in the active in at the face of an investigation. sergeant ronald aguilar with the sandra fell. police department says they can't tell us much, but that reports of the shooting not only happened outside the box. ball facility, but also 2 blocks down. we believe this was an

isolated event. so there is no danger to the public. no danger, but certainly plenty of fear the shooter right in the eye and then and then. >> got a little scared. jessica says everybody fell to the ground as the bullets flew. she was worried the shooting was going to spread inside. i never feared for my life down here or even felt unsafe can't really say that i don't feel unsafe now because that that was. for these folks. >> the show must go on now. this is total surprise. >> kind of screwed apart are bochy tournament. they clean up and carry on. we have another tournament tomorrow. so anyway, what what going to do? >> and as you just heard that tournament for bochy ball will still go on indeed, heading into sunday all throughout the day. now guarding that person who was shot. police say they are expected to survive. and again, if you know anything about what happened during these 2 shootings reported here at sandra they're expected to contact police in sandra fell jacmel but kron 4 news.

>> some developing news tonight out of san mateo county where a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on highway one. the crash forcing all lanes to shut down for hours. this happening around 5.45 near marotta road in san mateo county. >> and volunteer firefighter fortunately, the most us did not survive. we sent out and sealer advised people traffic. currently army >> mateo county sheriff's office says to expect delays and avoid the area. they're hoping to reopen all of those lanes at some point and we will keep you updated on air and online. when we learn more. some new details now after a standoff shut down southbound lanes of 6 ad in the east bay following a barricaded driver who they say >> had a weapon in the car. traffic was at a total standstill this afternoon. ramon police department for

sent out a warning for a barricaded unarmed person around 6 o'clock this evening. on 6.80, near san ramon valley boulevard. we're told the person who barricaded themselves inside the car had been involved in a crash with another car. you can see these pictures here from our caltrans cameras. they showed that backup happening earlier today near bolinger canyon road. chp was eventually called in to help and get this man into custody. it was later discovered that he did not have a gun on him. sentiments police chief says once they added announcement come through their armored rescue vehicle, the man got out of his car was taken into custody by chp. all those lanes reopened around 7 o'clock. but there was still some residual delays. highway 92 back open tonight after a two-car crash stalled traffic today. that collision happened just outside of happened bay near digs canyon road. at one point, all lanes of the highway were closed while emergency crews were on scene. chp says one person had to be taken to the hospital. the

cause of the crash still under investigation tonight. extra chp officers are patrolling california's roads this weekend. they're looking for unsafe drivers. according to chp. 46 people died in crashes more than 1100 were arrested for duis across the state during last year's holiday weekend. the maximum enforcement is going to remain in place until tuesday, midnight. well, it's going to be a record-breaking summer for travel as triple a expects this memorial day weekend to be the busiest since 2005. they say nearly 44 million americans going to be driving at least 50 miles from now on monday, drivers can expect the more at the pump. 3 60's, the national average bay area's averaging around 5.30. we talk with triple a to see what drivers should do before they hit the road. >> but do yourself a favor? take your car, checked out ahead of time. check things like your battery, your fluids in your tire pressure. those are the 3 most common reasons. the aaa will be called to help people in the side of the

that seabreeze tonight, 15 miles per hour over and fairfield's. that could cooling things down just a bit. and we are pretty much over all quiet as you could see on storm tracker. 4 so inland, you're mostly clear. but the coast, you notice it being a little cloudy and you can see it here at the golden gate bridge. so the rest of your holiday inland, you can see upper 70's the bay upper 60's 70's and then the coast will remain cool in the 50's. i'll have your 7 day forecast because we're heating up next weekend. back to you. >> all right, thanks. a lot of police on the peninsula investigating after a man was shot to death near a park in belmont. police say the 27 year-old victim was killed around 8 o'clock last night. investigators responding to the area near or when hiller streets. that's just off of 101, near o'donnell park. the victim was shot multiple times and despite life saving efforts, he died at the scene. we heard from a person who witnessed all of the police activity. this candy and >> you know, we've got a

family. i have to kids. i have a son and a daughter and to the mostly be in you know, evening in the night. but the walks park, you're going to look a so it is getting to, come to know that the day has been on >> belmont police are asking anyone with any information or anyone who may have home security cameras, too, get in contact with them. >> san jose man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for forcing his partner into trafficking. monterey county prosecutors say courtney davenport beat his girlfriend and forced her to engage in acts for his financial gain. so in police say they were tipped off and the victim called them in february of last year. the victim telling police her boyfriend, davenport struck her in the eye because she refused to do what she was told. it was later learned that this happened several times. davenport was eventually arrested and convicted of human trafficking in domestic violence, along with his

prison sentence. he's going to have to register as a offender for life. 13 year-old is accused of kicking a woman in the head during an attempted robbery. daly city police say this happened last saturday near schwerin street and glasgow avenue. investigators say the teen was a part of a group of 4 who attacked this woman once she fell to the ground. we're told she was kicked several times, including in the head. police say the group is trying to steal the woman's grocery bag before hopping on a bus. the witness was able to help police identified 13 year-old that teen was booked into the youth services center for attempted robbery and battery. in the east bay freemont police arrest. 4 people accused of running a counterfeit money scheme. officers reported to a store on warm springs boulevard back in the 14 after the manager said people were paying with fake money. police identified the suspects from the store's surveillance video and they believe that this same group of people paid with counterfeit bills at other

nearby stores. last sunday, police found the man and the woman behind the scheme parked in front of a different store. all 4 had counterfeit bills on them. they were arrested with an outstanding warrant for making counterfeit money. 4 years after the police killing of george floyd, democratic lawmakers renew the push for federal police reform. texas representative sheila jackson lee reintroduce the george floyd justice in policing act this week. the bill stalled in the gop led senate in 2020 after passing in the democrat led house. if passed, it would restrict use of force. no knock warrants and choke and carotid holds. it would also lower criminal intent standards convict officer for misconduct in federal cases. floyd's family and the president are calling on congress to support the bill. there are events happening all across the bay area this weekend honoring our country's fallen men and women for

high school. he was joined by a lineup of community leaders, including councilmember noel gallo. he is vying for rebecca kaplan seat and filed the initial paperwork with the city clerk's office last week. armstrong is facing 8 other candidates. he says that he believes his experience as police chief qualifies him for the job. armstrong is actually diving into politics at the same time that he's suing the city of oakland for wrongful termination. well, as families are visiting parks for the holiday weekend, east bay park officials are warning about coyotes. so if you run into one while you're hiking, here's some tips. avoid hiking alone. keep your children, your pets nearby. keep your dogs on a leash. be aware of your surroundings as you're walking or jogging or going on a bike ride, of course, stay on the trails as well. never attempt to feed a coyote. and if you do encounter block away calmly and then leave the area quickly. and going to be camping this morial day weekend. we've got some more four-legged friends. we've got

hayward. you'll see that in the future cast. let's started tahoe watch out for those bears. we just told you about. but we have some nice weather, mostly sunny here sunday, upper 60's. 71 in on monday on memorial day and tuesday on the way 70 degrees. so very nice time. i love the summer in tahoe. so we have back here in the bay area. we have those clouds rolling in at the golden gate bridge. and here is that future cast model half moon bay overnight, hayward o'quinn and a livermore fremont. you could see that patchy fog roll in and it will stick around in the morning for sunday morning. and then they'll start to mix out by late morning. some of those clouds will be hanging out. it looks like a half moon bay throughout the day, but by the evening, we look mostly clear. so. rest of your holiday weekend. i know we start off on a cooler. no, but we are going to be warming up tomorrow. but overnight lows will be in the 40's and 50's and then we'll be warming up to the 70's. saw a lot of 70's on the map. we could see 80's in places like antioch,
