actually change a little bit by the middle of week, though. we do have a mixed bag. some 40's and 50's going on here. so it's not just a 50 story. we've got 46 up to santa rosa along the coast there. half moon bay at 50, 51, san francisco and some 40's down south. even 47 fremont. 52 for san jose. little cooler this morning by a couple degrees and it was yesterday. but we'll make up for that with skies opening up so inland, basically going to be sunny already probably with the next hour or so. got 65 by 11 by 2 at 76 in most readings will be in the upper 70's. but we may have some 80's before. we really start to warm up by the end of next week. forecast coming up and a bit, stephanie. all right, dave, thank you. >> in sandra fell the search for multiple suspects continues this morning after a shootout near a bochy ball tournament that incident injuring at least one person. trump was jeff moment reports. >> well, sandra fell. police say if anybody witnessed the shootings to please step forward and offer what information they do have because, of course, there still are those suspects on the loose. now, police tell me

it actually happened in not one but 2 separate locations. those reports of shots fired happening in front of dozens of people. >> workers at marine bochy tell us at least 6 cars were damaged after 2 cars sped down the street saturday afternoon setting off a crash scene here. many of these cars belonging to tournament players but former but bochy executive director jessica levy in what she saw next shook her to her 2 guys get out of one car and there's they started shooting at the other guys. you know, everybody was shaken up. she says the people shooting at each other. all young men. >> and one was shot in the abdomen. she says everybody scattered. yeah, that that the sound of the terror of everybody screaming and then gunshots is. >> we are in the active in at the face of an investigation. sergeant ronald aguilar with the sandra fell. police department says they can't tell us much, but that reports of the shooting not only happened outside the box. ball facility, but also 2 blocks

sandra fell jacmel but kron 4 news. >> well, today is san francisco's annual carnival festival that does kick off taking over more than a dozen blocks in the mission district. and that's where we find kron four's tiffany justice with a preview of all of the their tiffany. >> good morning, stephanie. yeah, we're out here already and it's already having a good energy going on right now. yeah. so joining us live right now is ready. good iran. he's director of the parade of the festival as a whole. joining us live to talk more about what is happening specifically today. it's the big day or huge day. today is both the festival and the parade. so we're going to have thousands and thousands of people joining us today. >> and this takes a lot of work has more. the festival started. weekend event. correct? correct. so we plan year-round. we have 20 volunteers that show up every

week online and planned this out. and then the days of we rely 400 volunteers from not only san francisco but all over the bay area to make the celebration happened. yeah. special time are a lot of people look for to this festival has more about the grand parade i mean, the grand parade is the beauty. it's the jam. it's what brings unifies everyone. because here you have the heartbeat. the art is the dancers. they are. what make the carnival so vibrant, the different cultures that represent part is what makes it so special my understanding 3,000 around 3,000 artists participating in the parade. that's huge. humongous. 3,000 art is divided into about 70 different dance groups and they can range from 30 in a dance troupe to 400. so you see a wide range of different groups and a wide range of different cultures represented today, which is amazing. those more about the grand marshal you did we spoke about her a

talk about >> the economic impact right here, the different restaurants on 24th street, the ones on the corners, the vendors that are sent that mali's come here patronize have a good time. enjoy. this is kind there you go. you all enjoy coming down and have some fun is free. >> back to you in studio, stephanie. yeah. sounds like it's going to be a great day filled with fun and excitement. thanks so much, stephanie. new details now on a police standoff that shut down part of southbound 6.80, officers responding to reports of a driver who barricaded themselves inside of their car. the incident forcing traffic to a near standstill on saturday. ramon police issuing a warning about the barricaded drive around 6 o'clock. this happened on 6.80, near san ramon valley boulevard. we're told the driver had been involved in a crash with another car. you can see in these images from a caltrans camera, the backup happening near bollinger canyon road, san ramon police and chp responded. the man got out of his vehicle and was taken into custody lanes

reopen just before 07:00pm. police on the peninsula are investigating after a fatal shooting near a belmont park. police say the 27 year-old victim was killed around 8 o'clock friday night. investigators responded to or when and hillary streets sets just off on a one-year o'donnell park. the victim was shot multiple times despite life saving efforts. he died at the scene. we heard from an eyewitness. >> skating and shocking. yeah. how have you know, we've got a family. i have do kids. i have a son and a daughter and to the mostly be in you know, evening in the night. but the walks park, you're going to want so it is getting to, you come to know that today has been on site. >> belmont police are asking anyone with information to please get in touch. said as a man is sentenced to 10 years in prison for forcing his partner into trafficking, monterey county prosecutors say courtney davenport beat

his girlfriend and forced her to engage in acts for his financial gain. selena's police say the victim called them in february last year telling police her boyfriend davenport struck her in the eye because she refused to do what she was told. davenport was eventually arrested and apconvicted of human traffickin and domestic violence along with his prison sentence. davenport must also register as a offender. 13 year-old is arrested after allegedly kicking a woman in the head during an attempted robbery. daly city police say it happened last saturday near glasgoavenue. investigators y the teen was part of a group of 4 who attacked the woman when she fell to the ground. we're told she was kids several times, including in the head. police say the group was trying to steal the woman's grocery bag before hopping on a bus. a witness was able to help. police identify the 13 year-old suspect the teen was booked into the eu services center for attempted robbery and battery. in the east bay from

>> all right. welcome back. taking a live look outside at downtown san francisco at the transamerica building striking building out there. and you can really see it against those gray skies day. >> yeah, we're getting some better clearing a little quicker today that we saw from yesterday. stephanie. we have also the weather elements to help us out a little bit because right above us, it's drive again and not necessarily to warm to get much further up. so more dry air than warm air. we need that because i get some buoyancy to get this out of here a little bit. there's the onshore winds will continue for today. so little chilly at the coast and we'll be fighting some fog or some fog clouds just about all day there at the coast. 40's and 50's mixture out east. meanwhile, to the north bay, same kind of deal 50 for half moon bay. check in with a 52 for san jose. so whatever fog

we have will pretty much clear as we get in the afternoon looking pretty nice with some daytime heating off towards mountains. you'll notice some showers start to develop south of tahoe. that's kind of sing song. summertime pattern or graphic lifting is a technical term. but anyway, here comes by monday morning. fog spills into the sacramento valley. but as we get some daytime heating again, that clears out with better jump in some of those afternoon showers. you can see up to the mountains and into tuesday. the pattern continues that we change a little bit to the middle of the week. we have a weak frontal system dropping south. that's going bring some cooler temps for us. but then the high within reassert itself for the remainder of the week. and you'll see those numbers really start moving. but for today on shore, we are there's a direction and the winds, little sample that of the mid afternoon, as you can see, well in the upper teens lower 20's, we go all the way out to monday. same kind of deal as well. nice little pop. good news is you will see an off shore pop happen up there and it's a lot county sfo at the coast. we got a few clouds and

cool sunny and nice. and i mean, temperatures getting near 80 tomorrow. they'll be more 80's on the board, probably for altman highs. some coastal clouds still in there in chile, in the upper 50's to lower 60's. so the coast is not snap into summer mode yet here because in the summer sometimes see 70's at the coast and then for this week, sunny and warming 80's by midweek. and again, as i mentioned, will get up to the warming and tuesday drop off temporarily and into the mid 80's. looks like as we finish off the week. 62 san francisco, mostly sunny and cool. so we'll take your these fog clouds early. 68 open. 76 meanwhile for san jose and the big board here, lots of upper 70's, 80 antioch will be one of the exceptions. most of the bay temperatures will be lower 70's but will start moving through that over the next couple of days. 79 expected on your monday and then 75 we get to tuesday. they head to the slight temporary pullback before start warming up or hit the gas to pedal them as we get into friday will be the hottest day. probably the bunch, ok? all right. so i

will bookmark friday. there you go. market dog here. whatever takes. thanks, dave. >> all right. well, happening right now, thousands of concertgoers are in napa. >> this weekend for bottle rock today is the last day of the festival and big names like ed sheeran are set to headline tonight in total. 75 bands perform through this evening. sure to be another great day and night of music. a south bay couple recently quit their tech jobs to follow their passion of brewing coffee. and now they are running a mobile cafe all fueled by this. a cyber truck. check this out. the business is called moon away coffee roasters. from driving to pouring the cafe is run 100% off the couple's cybertruck. that is a powerful vehicle meeting and they will say they realize their love for coffee. well, at their tech jobs name was working at tesla at the time. so he knew what a cyber truck was capable of.

recalling nearly 2 million bottles of product over concerns of bacteria contamination. the company says affected bottles were distributed in washington state and sold nationwide online. customers are advised not to drink the water and to return it for a refund. more information can be found on the fda's website. san francisco fire crews worked to put out a house fire on carll street saturday morning. flames engulf a 2 storey complex just after 09:00am the damage displaced to tourists. the department is now working with a travel company to find the affected people. a new place to stay. no injuries reported. sandra feldman with fire department now has a new police chief. the city announced abraham roman to the position on thursday. roman was deputy fire chief and brings nearly 40 years of experience in the fire service. he spent 24 of those years with the berkeley fire department. congratulations. and from work continues to celebrate a nhp i heritage month. and this morning we

take a look at a special college program in the east bay sparking student interest in asian american culture. well, gayle ong reports from chabot college. >> on behalf of movement and be and you're welcome you to our annual. >> music. food. and plenty to celebrate. the night market is one of the biggest annual events for movement. >> the asian american and pacific islander learning community at chabot college and leo can last is one of its lead. organizers. i see it as a family, a support group and just knowing that i have people that look like me and higher education. it means a lot movement also give students more opportunities to learn api history and literature. arnold is director of student life at chabot

>> all right. good morning at 7.28. this morning. welcome back to the kron. 4 morning news. i'm stephanie lin. let's get you started this half hour with a look at our forecast. dave spahr is of course in the weather center tracking it all for us. hi, dave. well, good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody. and we're starting today off with the fog starting to peel away. don't you know, and seeing some sun trying to appear on through into san francisco. we're seeing that also happen inland as well. so >> kolling across the fog a little bit earlier today. that's a nice sign. we'll see numbers a little warmer. here's sfo. no delays being reported out that way. >> i just took a little quick check across the country. looks pretty good for now.

this busy holiday weekend here. a bit. and the only one that's having any little issues as a minor one at dfw. so if you're on maybe you'll have a little bit delay your hub. stop. here's a look at the current winds. we have single digits for the most part. now we expect them to pick up again in their typical fashion of onshore both today. tomorrow, not much for those temperatures inland as will warm nicely, but keep it a little cooler around the bay and certainly at the coast of the current numbers, you can see 40's and 50's mixture popping. it's 56 up there to antioch. meanwhile, 47 for livermore, livermore valley there. 47 for fremont. and a 52 coming in again for half moon bay. so a little cooler this morning by couple of degrees. but we'll make up for it this afternoon to you, folks in the we'll see a nice little bounce there. but few degrees. it will feel warmer. 65 at 11 by 2. let's try about 76. and this trend will continue the next couple of days on tuesday. we're looking for a slight pullback. as you can see there as we have a weak system passing. but that looks to be mostly sunny with all of take a look at longer range forecast the 4 zone

expected today in a bit, stephanie. all right. looking forward to it. >> could be a record breaking weekend for travel. aaa estimating nearly 39 million americans will drive at least 50 miles over the long holiday. drivers can expect to pay more than the national average for gas. that's $3.61 the bay area averaging around $5.30 for a gallon of gas kron. 4 spoke with triple a on what drivers should know before they hit the road. >> but do yourself a favor? take your car, checked out ahead of time. check things like your battery, your fluids in your tire pressure. those are the 3 most common reasons. the aaa will be called to help people on the side of the 89,000 californians last memorial day weekend to want to do better avoid being stopped at the side of the road. just preventative maintenance. >> as for driving on memorial day, prime traffic time is expected to hit between 3 and 07:00pm.

>> this holiday weekend also marks the start of the 100 deadliest days on the road for teen drivers on friday. law enforcement authorities and advocates gather to issue a message. >> i've heard a lot of young people pot never killed. disagree. i've never seen more felt more deaths than i ever seen or more crashes since legalization of marijuana just take a look. >> well, experts say no matter the age of your child, please remind them to wear their seat belt, have a sober ride home, don't speed. and to please pay attention behind the wheel. with more drivers on the roads extra chp officers are on patrol. the agency says statewide. 46 people died in crashes and more than 1100 drivers were arrested for duis during last year's memorial day holiday. maximum enforcement remains in place until midnight on tuesday. state lawmakers are now back in their districts for the long weekend, but not before a dancing hundreds of bills

ahead of a key deadline. our capitol correspondent eytan wallace reports. >> yeah, we're talking more than 800 bills on all kinds of matters from speeding to child trafficking. >> we have a serious problem holding back tears, bakersfield, republican state senator shannon grove delivered emotional remarks on the senate floor about the issue of child trafficking across the state. we cannot sit idly by children are bought and sold in california like pieces of meat and underground grocery store. that's why grove says she's been fighting to get her bill sb 1414, past from its house of origin of the state senate and get it over to the state assembly ahead to friday evening's deadline groves bill would classify the purchasing of a minor for commercial as a felony. that could increase penalties and jail time for those convicted. but the groves, great frustration. democrats on the senate public safety committee added amendments to the bill to exempt 16 17 year-olds in the legislation out of concern.

northeast. gasoline supply reserve to try and lower prices. some democrats are blaming big oil companies for the high prices. >> instead of working to lower gas prices for americans ahead of the busy memorial day weekend, big oil company executives are huddling to find ways to keep prices high and keep their profits soaring. >> meanwhile, the president of the american petroleum institute says instead of releasing reserves, there needs to be a bigger focus on oil production. officials estimate about 400,000 more barrels a day will be used because of the summer travel season. president joe biden spoke to the newest class of graduates at west point on saturday. during the speech the president told cadets that nothing is guaranteed about our democracy. every generation has an obligation to defend, protect and preserve it. >> about to become full saw most honorable and the most consequential fighting force and the history of the world.

sentenced to 10 years in prison for forcing his partner into trafficking. monterey county prosecutors say o% courtney davenport beat his girlfriend and forced her to engage in acts for his financial game. salinas police say the victim called in february last year telling police her boyfriend davenport struck her in the eye because she refused to do was she was told davenport was eventually arrested and convicted of human trafficking and domestic violence along with his prison sentence. davenport must also register as a offender. a 13 year-old is arrested after allegedly kicking a woman in the head during an attempted robbery. daly city police say it happened last saturday near glasgow avenue. investigators say the teen was part of a group of 4 people who attacked that woman when she fell to the ground. we're told the woman was kids several times, including in the head. police say the group was trying to steal the woman's groceries before hopping on a bus. a

witness was able to help, but police identified the 13 year-old suspect the teen was booked into the youth services center for attempted robbery and battery. in the east bay. freemont police arrested 4 people accused of running a counterfeit money scheme. officers responded to a story on warm springs boulevard earlier this month. the manager there saying some customers had paid for items with fake money. police identify the suspects from surveillance video. they believe the same people paid with counterfeit bills at nearby stores. on sunday, police found the suspect's in front of a different store. all 4 investigators say kerry counterfeit bills. >> i somebody whether open-ended that it needed that it said 40's and i >> former oakland police chief leronne armstrong kicked off this campaign saturday for city council at mcclymonds high school. he was joined by community leaders including councilmember noel gallo.

responding to reports of a driver who barricaded themselves inside of their car. the incident forced traffic to a near standstill on saturday. san ramon police issued a warning about the barricaded drive around 6 o'clock. this happened on 6.80, near san ramon valley boulevard. we're told the driver had been involved in a crash with another car. you can see here in this picture from a caltrans camera, the backup happening near bolinger canyon road. san ramon police and chp responded. the man got out of his vehicle and was taken into custody lanes reopen just before 07:00pm. police on the peninsula are investigating after a fatal shooting near a belmont park. police say the 27 year-old victim was killed around 8 o'clock friday night. investigators responded to early and hiller streets. that's just off 101 near o'donnell park. the victim was shot multiple times despite life saving efforts. he died at the scene. we heard from an eyewitness. >> skating and shocking. yeah.

daly city police say it happened last saturday near glasgow avenue. investigators say the teen was part of a group of 4 who attacked the woman once she fell to the ground. we're told she was kicked several times, including in the head. police say the group was trying to steal the woman's grocery bag before hopping on a bus. the witness was able to help police identified the 13 year-old the teen was booked into the eu services center for attempted robbery and battery. in the east bay from a police arrested. 4 people accused of running a counterfeit money scheme. officers responded to a story on warm springs boulevard earlier this month. the manager there saying some customers had paid for items with fake money. police identify the suspects from surveillance video. they believe the same people paid with counterfeit bills at nearby stores. on sunday, police found the suspect's in front of a different store. all 4 investigators say kerry counterfeit bills. >> i somebody it's open-ended
