organizers that congresswoman nancy pelosi will be in attendance. not exactly sure if she'll make any remarks but true to form. she has been here many times and she will once again be here to honor those who served our country. and you can see all those chairs right there. we do expect her as well as local politicians to be in attendance as well. so if you halftime and if you want to come down here, this begins at 10, 30 and of course, you don't need an invitation. all you need is a little patriotism. of course. and you might be able to grab yourself a chair for yourself now. other places going on as well. take a look at your screen. we want to show you there's still time if you're near san bruno, the national cemetery just like this one in san francisco. they have one in san bruno. of course, they will have ceremonies at 10, 30 and that's office. neat. and then if you can wait a little bit longer and say you're near san mateo, if you want to go to that particular location.

that skyline memorial. and that said 92 35. so lots going on at 2 remaining locations near san francisco in the heart of the bay area. but there are many other events going on. i've been to one in oakland. there's some him the south bay as well. of course, this is being celebrated across the country. we saw president biden this morning at arlington national cemetery. if you are coming down here, parking is very difficult side would suggest that you park near the buildings about maybe a quarter mile away from this location. and of course, you have to walk up here, but you know, and also bundle up. it is still cold. i know john was talking about the sun will be out. but at this particular time, a little chilly. lots of people in attendance were about. 25 minutes away from this. starting and again, the biggest name as far as politician. congresswoman nancy pelosi. we'll be in attendance. back to you. >> all right. thanks a lot.

we'll 10. 0, 4, is the time and several people that have been displaced after a sewage leak at a senior living home in oakland. and it was pretty gross. and that's all i can say. wait to see the video conference. michael thomas is in the newsroom with a lot. michael. yeah, good morning, everyone. not the prettiest site and this hazmat situation happened yesterday 11, 30 in the morning at that time contra costa county fire says they went their discovery. and right now there's more than 4 dozen senior residents have been displaced because of this hazardous water. take a look. this is video of what the scene looked like at the senior care facility on carolina. in oakley, the hazardous water was leaking from a bath tub that was over filling on the second floor. and we'll show you video of that right now. you can see the liquid. it's still undetermined of what it is. but it appeared to be a mixture of different things. officials say and it's still being investigated. however, it did make its way down the hallway into the building's main electrical room causing chaos for residents. we spoke with one who had this to say.

>> they don't maintain well. i know they don't maintain these buildings like they're supposed to. if they did, we wouldn't have these problems. who knows when we'll be able to come back. >> now, both medical personnel and fire officials were called to the scene along with pg and e who determined that the water was hazardous and total. 50 residents have been displaced with no idea when they can actually come back home. >> we don't want to complain comply. give us 72 hour. eviction notices up year. but charges the good kids get looks pretty good. we set up light is just reported no. everybody's moving out. we are opposed to give a lot. as the to see it human beings. >> residents say that there

attacking it from multiple angles. callers reported the fire just before 8 last night. well, the time firefighters arrived, the building was engulfed in flames. >> we just heard a bunch of people coming into the gas station there there's a big fire. you guys he was going he is going to close. i go outside. it's just smoke first. and then 2 minutes later, the flames erupted from the roof. chaos. it's crazy. some people are saying that could have been well, most people, but we're going do what it could railroad tracks. definitely is not the first time we've had fires around here, especially in this area. so there's been fires here before. but nothing of this kind really this 32 about the whole business has never been like this before. >> well, fire officials told nearby residents close their doors and windows prevent smoke exposure. rail traffic was also closed because the tracks are right by the fire. >> but now we still it's still an active fire fight. we still there's a rear, the rear of the building that you can see behind us. there's a couple like smaller garage. is that still have some active fire

that are in the back that you can see from and we've got units and they're working on suppressing that at this time. >> firefighters remain on scene throughout the night and continued to put out any hot spots. fire crews expect to be on the scene throughout the day and we're going continue to monitor this very fluid situation. send it back to both the desk. all right. thanks. a lot rain. 10, 10 and in the north bay, one person was injured and a fire that broke out in a mobile home in vallejo. this happened yesterday afternoon. look at all the smoke here coming from a carolina. and while streets, this is blocks away from the solano county superior court. one person was inside when this mobile home caught fire. the victim was able to get out. but now they're in critical condition in the hospital. we'r not sure how it started. police have arrested a man for driving under the influence and other crimes in connection with a crash that happened in petaluma saturday night. this crash in the area of cinnamon on parkway and morrow drive the honda civic southbound on

how their child identifies, what gender they identify with when they're at school. this bill would make california the first state to prevent schools from requiring teachers to out students to their parents. >> 6 states have implemented similar measures. >> supporters of this bill say it respects the privacy rights of students and protects them from potential harm. but those who are against it say parents have a right to know if their child identifies differently of schools and they do at home. >> for your health this morning, federal health officials say more than 100 people have been affected by salmonella outbreaks tied to backyard poultry the cdc says 109 people in 29 states, including 3 cases here in california, were infected with the salmonella strain related to backyard contaminant of poultry. the agency says that the number of people impacted is likely higher than reported cases. 33 people were hospitalized. there been no reported deaths. the cdc says chickens and ducks can carry

speak, there are many remembrance ceremonies happening around the bay. we've got rain harbor here in the studio with a quick look. at least some of them. yeah, so there are events all across the bay area today where people can take a moment to reflect on those sacrifices. happening now, golden gate national cemetery ceremony just started a few moments ago. that's a san bruno where they're going to place flags on each of over 113,000 graze and the presidio san francisco national cemetery start their ceremony moments ago throughout the state, california state parks are going to be offering free admission to active and reserve military members and participating state park units. francisco, maritime national park association and the crew of the uss. how many do submarine? they're really the last vote ceremony to honor those who have served that started earlier this hour and over in the east bay of walnut creek, they will hold their annual memorial day right outside of city hall. that starts in just 20 minutes. we'll send it back to

both at the des. okay. thank you. reyna 10. 39 and tomorrow, scott peterson, the man convicted of killing his pregnant wife, will appear in court via zoom. he's trying to get a new trial and the stance u.s. county prosecutors, though, are against this are asking a judge not to approve this motion. los angeles innocence project is representing peterson and they want the dna testing to happen for a rope and a stolen van that was burned around the time. peterson's wife laci was reported missing and not too far from their home. the da is asking a judge to deny the motion. they say that he was convicted using all of the evidence back in 2004. in marin bochy ball tournament continued yesterday after quite a scare and an episode that there were the a car crash and a shooting right outside on saturday afternoon workers at the marine bochy say that at least 6 cars, most belonging to players were damaged in this thing where

there was a shooting at the intersection of ross and e streets. the game was going on at the time where and so the players looked and saw 2 guys get out of a car and started firing shots and other people who are nearby. one person was shot in the stomach. they were taken to hospital and they are expected to survive in the investigation. now into what happened is ongoing. >> that is out the transferee workers as they walked off the job for 4 hours over the weekend, their union voted to authorize a strike as they continue to fight for a new contract. the ferry workers are employed by alcatraz city cruises, which is the only service to and from that popular tourist attraction. the workers say they've been dealing with unfair labor practices. san francisco mayoral candidate and supervisor aaron peskin was their marching with them. the ferry company says they're working right now to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.

contact hosted or police say 75 year-old man was punched in the face on inwood drive-in elam avenue on friday. police say they learned host was the suspect in both attacks. on saturday. police contacted his parents and arrested him at their home. who stutter has been charged with 2 counts of elder abuse and for battery of an officer. police say he kicked an officer while being booked into jail. the 25 year olds. parents home is just a few houses down from the victim of friday's attack. kron 4 spoke with a relative of the victim. they said he's still recovering and they're not quite ready to talk about what happened. another neighbor who wants to remain anonymous says this is sad for everyone involved. i feel sorry. >> for both sides, it's not like all. this is just kids. just a terrible not a terrible katie's just as he just has. he's a kid with mental and the victim, you know, as an elderly man. so i feel sorry for him. i'm sure they want. from their side. they want
