>> news station, this is home. news 11. >> now at 11, a man in an armored vest to the santa clara county sheriff's office says beat a man on a bet a platform has apparently also targeted someone else just moments before this attack happened. good evening and thank you for joining us for kron. 4 news at 11. i'm dan thorn. the second assault on wednesday left that victim bloodied and the santa clara county sheriff's office aneounced today that there may be more victims. cropper is jack moment. reports. >> the video you're about to see here might be hard to watch a full on assault captured on security camera, santa clara county sheriff's office says the suspect is this man. 26 year-old andrew paris. he was arrested after a standoff with deputies on wednesday and is now charged with attempted murder assault with a deadly weapon. and a new charge of stalking and disturbing the peace. the man perez allegedly attacked was taken to the hospital and expected to survive.

police say the truck hit the victim who was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk. she died from her injuries yesterday. this is san jose's 20th deadly crash this year and the 8th pedestrian deaths so far this year. san francisco police have released body cam video today in connection to a police shooting in the bay view. >> thanks, rob. the crossbow profit. >> last week officers got a report of someone with a rifle near jennings street in carroll avenue. but when they arrived, the actually found the person loaded with a crossbow. one officer then fired their gun. the suspect was not hit by gunfire but had to be taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. we've got a little on travel reminder this weekend. bart service between 24th street mission and daly, city stations is going to be suspended. that includes the

year-old and jenny ke kai or went into the store and started filling up shopping bags with makeup from the shelves and then walked out. police later arrested the 2 women. police described them as prolific retail teams with outstanding warrants in other counties. 80 demonstrators arrested uc santa cruz this morning as law enforcement riot gear were clearing out encampments from the campus just before sunrise protesters are a little upset about this conflict happening between hamas in israel have been camped out on campus since the 20th tents and barricades blocking the main entrance to the campus were taken down by police. protestors feel that the gun in the school has gone too far. >> so what's the mood amongst everybody right the mood is really, really we're we're quite frankly, were people are out there. they're yelling and the screaming because this enormous violation of her

constitutional rights and a overboard reaction in terms the level of brutality that we're witnessing. >> university is saying that they've been asking the protesters to leave and stop blocking access to the school. but those students have been listening. in a statement, they defended their decision to involve law enforcement saying they needed to put an end to unlawful and unsafe actions. they say demonstrators have been disrupting campus operations and have been delaying access of emergency vehicles and they could not restore full access to campus without the help of police. hundreds of faith leaders from across california were in san francisco today praying for peace in gaza. the event was held outside. senator alex padilla is office also part of a demonstration calling the senator to vote against what organizers say is u.s. complicity in the killing that has been happening in gaza. participating say they're calling on senator padilla because he voted in favor of additional weapons being sent to israel. and

mayor sheng thao is welcoming residents to support the rights of the lgbtq+ community in the month of june. san francisco ringing in the beginning of pride month as well. city officials hanging this huge rainbow flag over saks 5th avenue and union square this morning. this year's theme for the city is a beacon of love filled with events almost daily leading up to that huge parade that happens on june 30th, which is always a fun time. all the event details can be found on sf pride dot org. one event kicking off pride month. tomorrow is the drag team and drag queen story time in walnut creek. it's going to be at the civic park assembly hall in civic drive from 11 in till noon in walnut creek. the event is free we want we talked with the arts and recreation department there in the city about the program and they said it was created to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. the message is tolerance

sparkling in the city lights, not foggy there, but it certainly is cloudy and foggy live along the coastline. and that fog is going to come inland. >> to some parts of the bay area, especially the south bay. temperatures now are calming down the central valley. we're looking at numbers right now in the 70's. notice the fog, low clouds and fog stretching. >> from the mexican border up to san diego, santa barbara, san monterrey and pushing into parts of our san francisco bay area. so you can see right now it's heading right to the gap and the crystal springs area moving right to the east bay. and we've got temperatures overnight lows in the 50's which is lovely. now here's what's happening. normally our weather goes from west to east that typically this part of the world, what happens? so you'd expect this high pressure to head right toward our coast line. i want to get out of the way, cause looks. this area of high pressuro is going the wrong way. >> and that's cooling us down. temperatures tomorrow and sunday and monday are back to normal. forget about all this
