>> now on the kron morning news. one man is shot dead. multiple people hurt with stab wounds in lake berryessa over the weekend, officials now identified the shooting victim. sideshows break out across san francisco over the weekend. one of them setting off a fire right near the embarcadero apartment fire sparked a wildfire in east bay as we expect temperatures to heat up this week, right in the midst fire season. >> from the area's local news

station, you're watching the kron. 4 morning far. >> well, good monday morning. people waking with bright and early the com for more news. >> here on monday, june 10th, i'm reyna harvey. hopefully even joy. the weekend break that we got in terms of the weather cause is going start heating up. john is already warning about it that good morning, john. and we are looking at a bit of a foggy morning out there. some of our views like this one right here. >> closer to the coastline, not showing much of anything this morning as we do start things off with a bit of a school sea breeze right along the coast and then normal temperatures elsewhere. currently, we are sitting in a range of 40's to 50's across the bay area. cool. 49 in pacifica. that ocean temperature going to keep those spots nice and chilly today while the rest of the bay area will be looking at little bit of a warm-up. daytime highs climbing as much as the low 90's for some of our for this inland spots. you can see that onshore breeze. some spots of fog near the

coastline right there. not a lot of fog intrusion further inland them. and with that does come that chance for temperatures to rise really quickly, as you can see, sea breeze is very relaxed today, which will contribute to that warm up that we do have daytime highs inland will rise into the low 90's with lower 80's along the bay shore. as for your roads, what we have right now is pretty smooth sailing conditions across the bay bridge. currently we've minutes to make that morning commute. here's the deal, though. we do have a vehicle that you can see in the center lanes at the toll plaza that actually did make contact and a collision with those central lanes. it does look like we still have 4 of your toe plaza lanes blocked. and that does mean that you're going to be shifted to the left and the right. as of right now, that is not resulting in any sort of backup. but as that morning commute picks up a little bit, it could result in a backup forming right there through the toll plaza. again, we do have 4 lanes blocked as a vehicle earlier on this morning did make contact and

actually collided with the toll plaza itself as cleanup continues. we will be looking at a few closures there right along the bay bridge. i'll let you know if that has any issues. san mateo bridge at 13 minutes right now. no issues whatsoever there. while the richmond center fell and the golden gate bridge both moving along, fine golden gate just got a lot of fog that you're making your way through the start rain. all right, john, thank you for that. our top story this morning, a violent, chaotic scene. >> bringing out saturday night. this is a lake berryessa one male shot and killed. several other people were stabbed. now the county sheriff's office and they want to arrest cover. sarah stinson has that story. >> a large fight broke out between 2 groups that lake erie us a saturday obviously the shooting. >> it was stabbing and punches. so there pardons involving injured. >> napa county sheriff oscar ortiz describes the scene as chaotic at the oaks shores day

use area. deputies responded to the west shore around 5.30 and found a man who had been shot administered cpr to attempt lifesaving measures. >> fortunately, they were unsuccessful. so that person was pronounced at the the sheriff says 2 people were also found with stab wounds and taken to the hospital during the fight. a man grabbed a gun from his car and shot and killed. a 39 year-old man from vallejo. the victim has been identified as andres fabienne sandoval garcia, the alleged shooter then drove off. the sheriff says when deputies found the man just north of the lake. >> he had stab wounds and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. his condition is improving. >> as i mentioned, we're hoping to be able to become the jail. the coming days, detectives spent hours at the scene talking with witnesses trying to figure out what led up to the fight. the sheriff says several agencies helped with the investigation, including the sonoma county sheriff's helicopter because don't get a lot of homicides in county

>> have a a protocol in place where we activate the major crimes task force, which is really detectives from every city in the county, every law enforcement agency and the district attorney's office and the highway patrol ortiz says this is the county's 4th homicide of the year. >> the sheriff says while there has been one arrest, there could be more. they're still talking with people who witnessed. >> the fight and he's hoping that anyone with video will send that to the sheriff's office. i'm sara stinson reporting in napa county kron. 4 news. >> on the east bay, you got flames from an apartment fire spreading to some nearby grass vegetation. this also cause a vegetation fire. contra costa county fire. crews say fire is now 100% contained. 55 acres have been burned. the fire started at 4.40 yesterday afternoon. it was fully contained late last night video showing the smoke rising from a grass field right near san ramon court. john henry johnson parkway. no injuries were reported. okay. take a

look at this. so kite server was rescue right off the davenport landing. this is a santa cruz county after they were stranded. this is on sunday in the video. you can see they actually spelled out the word help in the sand. he was spotted by private helicopter call 9-1-1. firefighters say he use rocks to spell it out. they say he did not need medical attention. also in the east bay, you got more than 10 people are now displaced because of an apartment building fire in san pablo. this is so this is video from a nearby apartment complex. the fire started around 4.30, on saturday. contra costa fire fighters say they contain that fire little after 30 minutes. you see the smoke starting to fill the air. the red cross helping those who were displaced. they're now trying to figure out the cause. and in the north bay, a man set himself on fire. this insider rohnert park hotel. well, police say he was using illegal drugs. police arrived

at the end a park. this is on redwood drive on sunday morning. follett alert of a sprinkler system. the inactivated, the law enforced an evacuation of all other guests. officials say they found a man on the second floor yet significant burns to his arms and torso. they say he was using drugs with his clothes, caught on fire. he had to be taken to santa rosa memorial hospital. in the south bay, that homeless man who was attacked at a vta stop in san jose. it's finally out of the hospital, but he fears for safety and for others that are living on the streets. well, that moment sat down with the victim to learn what changes he would like to see to prevent another attack. so some other guy like. >> from behind the other 5 for my bryant, couldn't see guy walks past need is a little fake walk and it turned right back around and knocks me. >> because of san jose native christian chandler with remembers how he had to fight

investigation is ongoing. and you have several sideshows taking over streets in san francisco over the weekend. one of them setting off fire near the embarcadero. take a look. police say for sideshow happened just after 2 sunday morning, right near barca. don't washington video from the citizens app showing cars circling around fires. fireworks off at the intersection. fire crews had to weave through the traffic in the area. police say the group dispersed once they arrive. less than an hour later, police responded to a second site show on lindsay and cesar chavez streets. police say they found a building vandalized in that area. we don't have any arrest being made in that incident. apple's worldwide developer conference set to kick off this morning in cupertino and this year's event is likely focus heavily on ai tech giant is expected to announce a

contributing what 2 will be a warm day in land and a little bit of fog are right along the coastline. we do have heat advisories taking effect tomorrow. late morning for all our inland areas. the bay, again, these take effect tomorrow. so today, not yet. our hottest day tomorrow. looking ahead out, it will be the very warmest one. as of right now, winds are coming from the coastline. so good news moderating us this morning, but winds really do relax later today. that allows temperatures to climb as much as they will. today's highs in the 60's to 70's for the city. not a hot day for the city at all, nor at the coastline. most of our bayshore cities are getting a bit warmer but still tolerable spots like foster city at 79 palo alto. 82 south bay times. you're rising into the upper 80's today and for los gatos, even hitting 90 degrees east bay. daytime highs, much the same pleasanton and livermore at 90 91 conquered are right at 90 while oakland up to richmond

in the mid to upper 70's for your highs today, hottest spots, vacaville and antioch at 93 pittsburgh, not far behind, right at 90 degrees. tomorrow's temperatures will be a little bit hotter. as you can see here. we will be close to 100 degrees for some spots making tuesday, the hottest day and the one with all those heat advisories backing off the heat on into wednesday and by the weekend, nicely times cooling off again into the 70's and 80's. as for your roads, bay bridge of the issues that i was telling you about had a vehicle that actually collided with the toll plaza earlier on this morning. right now that looks to have about 3 lanes still closed and we don't have any backup because of this just yet. it does look like chp and caltrans are doing their best to clean things out as quickly as possible. so once traffic picks up more and more, we shouldn't see that influence too much. but as of right now, we still do have 3 lanes through the toll plaza closed due to an earlier collision with one vehicle into the toll

plaza itself. as for the san mateo bridge, things out there. so rolling along just fine. got those headlights heading our direction. nice and bright richmond center fell at 7 minutes while the golden gate just still in with a little fog making your crossing there right now. all right, john, thank story to bring you the body recover by the san joaquin river has been confirmed to be the boater. tony clark, you might remember he went missing nearly 2 weeks ago. >> his friend identified the body. well out searching with volunteer divers that kimberly cruz, she talked clark's family and the volunteer diver who found him. >> i don't think i describe my dad in just a few words. leahy was so loving, so carrying some understanding it was my everything. >> my dad between tears, brittany smith, tommy clark's, oldest child out of 3, remembering her dad. he loved to fish. he lived to work on cars. >> he was.

>> to go golfing. clark was last seen fishing with his friend johnny in the san joaquin river on may 23rd when their boat capsized where the san joaquin and old reverse split, everything was going smoothly all night. stopped at the the y. >> i'm at the beach to get there for a little bit. and this is we left. that's when tragedy struck. the san joaquin county sheriff's office is in volunteer divers search for nearly 2 weeks. we spend. >> more than 7, 8 days looking for we do? most top and i do more 20 times. the body eventually found by hit alongside tommy's friend johnny. >> and another volunteer divers saturday afternoon before size. >> we we tell me by the shoulder and i was unable to bring home. had to bring home, you know. something that i had to you. i know done it for me. left me out there.

people take advantage of the cool down. is the warm-ups on the way morning? think a lot of people enjoy the fact that weekend. it was a rees this a- >> much more comfortable 70's to 80's this morning. this is the same showed you about 30 minutes ago that you couldn't see any of this is right above that cloudy blanket from sutro tower. so sitting right here at the coastline. we do have a little bit of cool ocean air. this is pretty shallow this morning is going to burn off relatively quick and this is going to set us up for a slightly warmer afternoon today than what we had yesterday. so the warming trend is definitely kicking back into gear. 40's to 50's for our current temperatures, dublin livermore sitting at 54 currently berkley year at 52 while nevado and petaluma at 55 degrees. winds from the coastline are present. so still a very gentle onshore breeze that actually relaxes more and more this afternoon. and with that marine layer burns off and temperatures

will begin to climb. today's daytime highs will reach is warm as the low 90's for inland areas. low 80's along the bay shore tomorrow could be the very hottest of the forecast getting to the roads this morning. things out there are improving at the bay bridge toll plaza. earlier this morning we had a one vehicle actually collide with the toll plaza itself. at times, this blocked about 4 of those center lanes. it looks like it's down to 3 that are closed at the moment. it is only taking you 10 minutes to gets from the maze to fremont street. the vehicle has been removed and it does look like at this point, crews are just inspecting the toll plaza itself to make sure it's fine for more vehicles to enter through that excess laying right there. but again, this morning, we did have one vehicle actually collide with the toll plaza. and so that cleanup process just still continues. expect a potential for backups here in a few minutes. but as of right now, not causing much of an issue. san mateo bridge at 13 minutes for your crossing. there's certainly no issues on that

span. richmond center fell at 7 minutes while finally a look at the golden gate just shows off that fog. that's hugging the coast this morning, rain. all right, john, thank you for that. well, there is an increased risk of fire danger this week across the bay area. >> the national weather service hot and dry afternoons are in the elevated fire. us covers. michael thomas live in lafayette with what you need to know. good morning, michael. >> hey, good morning. everyone will with this year significant rainfall. we've seen a significant growth when it comes to seasonal grasses and'vegetation. similar to what you see here, which is why officials want to make sure that you are prepared as we get into those hotter days and wildfire season. as we know over the last few weeks, we've seen a handful of small fires across the bay area. and fire officials say, well, there isn't critical weather right now. happening like wind and humidity. we're still seeing a lot of hot and dry afternoons and when they're combined with very dry, find fuels, will it causes an elevated fire danger, places like santa rosa have declared

today. the first official day of wildfire season asking residents to be prepared. but regardless of location, officials say there are always some tips you can follow. we've got those up on your screen right now, especially if you live in a home. that is next to a grassy area or field want to maintain a sensible space of at least 30 feet from the home. and one of the biggest things is making sure that you're cutting down those dried out weeds to be at least 4 inches or smaller. no higher. you want to trim trees along with those low hanging branch s, remove any branches that are on the roof lines and keeping them at least 10 feet away from the home. want to clear out those gutters and also your roof of all debris and make sure that you're raking up any leaves, especially if you're you're at those fields and nasa, you do always want to make sure there's no flammable that are next to your home and make sure you have a plan in place in the case of an emergency. back out here live, you can places like are, you know, easily sustainable, growing. some of those wildfires should

one happen. so if you are near an area like this, you just want to be prepared. that's a very latest here in lafayette. michael thomas will send it back to you in the studio. all right. all great tips. thank you, michael. >> largest insurance carrier in the state says they plan to continue coverage for some homeowners. but there's a catch. >> state farm announced back in march it would not renew 1000 home insurance policies because of elevated fire risk. now state farm says it will. knew those policies if client specifically secure fire coverage from the california fire plan. that's a sta e insurance program for homeowners in high-risk areas. so are advocates say this will add an extra burden to homeowners. >> people who are loyal. >> to state farm is going to be great this is the insurance company you want to be with. then this is a helpful piece of news, but it's going you're going to still be paying more. and now you're going to have to have to policies instead of united policy holder says state farm has a right to be concerned about the wildfire

risk. >> home values in california. they also believe state farm is over reacting. was a chaotic week in right along the embarcadero in san francisco. massive sideshow broke out causing a car 11 flames of fireworks to explode covers will tran live in san francisco with the video. >> the shows just how things got out of hand morning. well, >> good morning, rain and the san francisco police department. they have access, of course, to the video. but so far, no arrests behind all of this. let me show you the video. it is actually making national news a win. viral because this happened in san francisco. obviously an international city right by the ferry building. this was basically saturday into sunday at around 2 o'clock in the morning. hundreds of people gathered along the embarcadero. it was very organized to the point where many reportedly booked hotel rooms where they were high up

enough to shoot down with their cell phone video to capture the chaos. at one point a car was set on fire and we saw people kicking the car. eventually the san francisco police department. they came to the scene and broke it up. we're not exactly sure how long it took for them to respond because obviously the car was set on fire and was burning for a little while in that video. we don't see any video of police officers. they're dispersing the crowd, but they eventually left the area but it was far from over because hour later or so that same side show, it appears actually moved to another place in the mission district where that continued the san francisco police department, they heard about that. they also came to that location and broke it out. so sideshows definitely happened over the weekend, not just in san francisco, by the way, but also in oakland. we're trying to find out more information
