time to feel the super bowl buzz . fans we spoke with say they are justifying the trip by saying it's just such a short flight to feel the magic of the game. one man from lafayette told us he actually bought a flight to vegas three months ago. he's not at the game right now. just wanted to be in las vegas to take in all the action, but is planning to come back home tonight just in time to make it to bed and be ready for work tomorrow morning? i just wanted to be down there on the strip by the energy where all the fans are, and you just can't replicate that by being in ground zero, where the big game

civilians is put into place. this comes as another network of tunnels has been found under the un headquarters for palestinian refugees. fox's trey jenks brings us more tonight from tel aviv. that's right. >> a large discovery in northern gaza, as the israelis say, they found a tunnel network underneath unrwa's headquarters. you can see here that data center and industrial power banks that israel says belong to hamas. un leadership denied any knowledge of the facility, but israeli officials say they must have known. we're also getting new insight today on israeli plans to enter gaza's southernmost city of rafah, where more than 1.2 million palestinian are sheltering. israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu saying this on fox news sunday. >> this morning we have cleared out and conquered and destroyed most of the hamas terrorist infrastructure in the rest of the gaza strip. so now there's plenty of room north of rafah for them to go to, and that's where we're going to direct them

planning thousands of job cuts, and it could come this week, reuters reports that cisco systems plans to lay off about 1000 layoff. scuse me, thousands of employees. when cisco makes an earnings call on wednesday, the company has about 85,000 employees as of the 2023 fiscal year. in the past, cisco has blamed the slowdown to a shift in demand for its products as well. you may notice fewer people at work tomorrow, or perhaps an uptick in sick calls kind of not surprising, fox news jeff paul tells us the so-called super bowl flu cost companies billions of dollars every year. >> us super bowl 58 is predicted to be the most watched championship to date, with the national retail federation estimating as many as 200 million people will tune in to see the kansas city chiefs face the san francisco 49ers. the majority of people will be watching on tv. maybe having a drink or two with those wings and hanging out with their friends well into the night. but before the alarm goes off monday

morning, millions have already decided to ditch work. >> over 16 million people are planning to skip work the day after the super bowl. roughly 10 million of those already requested the day off. >> and according to research from the workforce institute at ucf, about 6 million planned to fake sick or ghost their employer that day. >> the super bowl is a it's a national cultural phenomenon. it's a big day, a long day of celebrations and parties and time with family and friends and neighbors. and people are tired on monday and they treat it like any other holiday. and millions of employees are looking for a day off cases of the super bowl flu, along with those who show up after a night of excessive celebrations, can cost businesses some $6 billion, says chris todd, ucf ceo, says this is a good opportunity for managers and companies to be open to discussing the time off ahead of the game. this is an easy conversation that managers should start a couple weeks before before the big game, and

support cancer patients all across the globe. >> the rock and roll hall of fame has released its list of nominees. ten of the 15 possible contenders on that list. on the ballot for the first time, they include cher, the late sinead o'connor, sade, foreigner and mariah carey. other nominees are mary j. blige, the dave matthews band, eric b and rakim, peter frampton, jane's addiction, kool and the gang, lenny kravitz, oasis, ozzy osbourne, and a tribe called quest. the nominees will be voted on by music industry professionals. there will also be a fans ballot online. the class of 2024 will be announced in april. >> well, a woman has made history completing a coast to coast hiking trip. 40 year old briana desanctis, from delaware, completed the 6800 mile american discovery trail. the mercury news reports that desanctis started her hiking trip on new year's day 2022. there in delaware. after walking for more than two years across the appalachian mountains, the

midwestern plains, the rocky mountains, and a total of 15 states, well, she finished her trek at marin county's lynda muir beach yesterday. desanctis is now the first solo woman to complete the american discovery trail and take a look at this. okay, no, you are not looking at identical twins. that's delaware senator chris on the left. and german chancellor olaf schultz on the right. the two political leaders bear a striking resemblance to each other, which they showed off in a selfie taken by last week during schultz's trip to washington. is 60, and the german leader is 65 years old. they previously met last month at the world economic forum in davos, switzerland. >> girl scout cookie season has officially begun. sales of thin mints, samoas and all the other popular flavors are now on sale. the price of a box varies depending on where you live. the national average last year was $5. a box. this year, the average price has climbed to $6. the money goes to the local girl

beautiful sunset this evening. we're hoping for a victory as are you. the tower is lit up. the sails are not salesforce, but the yeah, salesforce tower is lit up with the right colors. these systems out in the pacific, you can see them right here. it's just busy, busy active pacific. it is such this is a strong el nino year. very similar in my mind to what we had in 82. in terms of really strong. and then the activity we're seeing in the pacific, lots of swell, lots of storms. and so these storms are going to are part of what i showed you in that long range model. right i go here goes one. here goes. that's them. they're just lining up out there getting ready to come on in the current temperature are in the 50s pretty mild for this time of night. overnight lows will be just a little bit warmer than than freezing. so we'll be in the cool spots will be in the low mid 30s maybe i feel still feel like guerneville could pick up a 33 or 32. going to get a frost. not a frost advisory for us, but south down towards the santa, down towards um, down towards, uh, modesto. in those areas you're going to see a frost advisory. but that's not to say we're not going to get

we're going to get frost in some places as well. so here's the model. this is the more short tum model. so it's a little more the resolution is better. so here's tomorrow morning and then there's tomorrow afternoon. so that looks pretty good. a few clouds there's tuesday morning a lot of clouds tuesday afternoon a lot more clouds. and then here comes that wednesday night thing. and it kind of cooks in here on wednesday night into thursday morning. so is it a big storm. no not really. but what is those that the systems coming in behind it, that sunday system , that saturday sunday system, the weekend looks pretty pretty wet. now that's going to change a lot between now and that that time. but we're going to kind of tee it up on wednesday with the showers kind of showing up wednesday night into thursday, a few scattered showers possible on friday, saturday looks wet, sunday looks wet. monday looks wet as well. saturday right now looks kind of like the bull's eye, so we'll keep an eye on it. but it's just going to go from a dry few next few days to a wet period. so somewhere around wednesday, well, thursday morning's commute is going to be

but we're holding people accountable who who might try this? >> the federal communications commission traced the robo calls to a texas based company, life corporation, and this week, the fcc voted to make it illegal to use artificial intelligence to make those kinds of calls, letting the agency find the callers. in a statement, the agency said, quote, bad actors are using ai generated voices in unsolicited robo calls to extort vulnerable family members, imitate celebrity, and misinform voters. the fcc says unwanted calls and robo calls are its largest source of consumer complaints sites, with tens of billions dialed each year. the unwanted robo calls aren't just a nuisance. they can threaten public safety by disrupting 911 call centers, as congress has cracked down on robo calls in the pa, saying they defraud americans out of billions of dollars. the fcc says it's also looking into using ai for good tracing. the source of those unwanted calls in new york,
