to draw record crowds tonight when it kicks off in about 15 minutes from now. ktvu zac sos joining us live from the parade route tonight zach, what's the atmosphere out there like? >> i mean, take a look. the excitement is certainly building. you mentioned record crowds. take a look at these folks lining the streets. some of them getting here hours early to secure a perfect spot to catch this come down market street. uh, you know, many of them also lining union square as well. all along this route this year, marking the year of the dragon. so expect to see that symbol even more prevalently along this parade route. if you're wondering, the dragon is a symbol of luck, wisdom, strength, and power in the chinese culture. the highlight of this parade undoubtedly will be a 288 foot dragon float that will be animated by dozens of performers as it winds its way through the streets here of san francisco. i spoke to some folks

earlier. they say that is just one of the many things that brings them out to this parade year after year. take a listen. >> i love seeing all the floats. i like seeing all the different types of people that come out. just, uh, you know, celebrate lunar new year with everybody and, uh, yeah. excited. uh, yeah , i'm definitely excited. um, i went to go see, um, the miss chinatown, uh, the crowning last night, so it's great to see and, uh, come out to see her again on the float today. >> i'm just looking forward to seeing all the groups again. i was here last year, so i'm like, i say, i'm like nine out of ten right now. ten out of ten. just looking forward to seeing the groups again, you know, see what change and what's the same. >> yeah. that dragon float should be pretty spectacular. just one of 19 dazzling floats that will be in this parade as it makes its way down here, down market street, around union square. and then ends up right in chinatown. lots of people excited. christina >> yeah. and i'm sure also

people are excited about the grand marshal. oh so you heard about her? >> yeah, a lot of excitement about this grand marshal. what is she? she's an actress, a rapper, a musician. what has awkwafina not done? lots of people out here to catch a glimpse of her as she makes her way down the parade route? as the grand marshal today. what an exciting time. >> and the weather. perfect too, as well. zach, enjoy yourself out there on the parade route. than you. well, the parade route stretches about 1.3 miles. it starts at. second and market streets. wraps around union square and es atearny street and columbus avenue, whi there are ticketed bleacher sectio watching the parade at street level is free, and there are no bad vange points. some nearby streets, though, are closed tonight for most of the day. chinatown has been busy all day before the parade, even begins. the community street fair kicked off its two day event today. this free fair drew in large

crowds this afternoon. the san francisco chinatown chamber of commerce hosts the fair annually and every weekend on the chinese new year parade. there are martial arts demonstrations, lantern and kite making, puppet shows and calligraphy activities, and people who come up every year for this weekend say this one is one for the books. the weather's fantastic. >> we've been coming here every year for about the last 15 years. this is probably one of the best years for this parade. it's tremendous having a great time. >> the fair will continue tomorrow with more than 120 booths open for attendees from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in chinatown, san francisco police have made extensive plans for parade security tonight, police say both uniformed and plain clothes officers will be closely watching the big crowds. all along the parade route. officers will also be using surveillance cameras to scan the area to keep track of things. police chief bill scott is asking those attending tonight to be vigilant and immediately report any suspicious behavior. >> if you see somebody with a

weapon, please call it in. if you see something that looks suspicious, please call it in. and if you see something that looks like it's about to happen in terms of violence, call it in right away. report what you're seeing. we will be there. we will respond. >> san francisco police say they are also prepared for any political protests that may occur during the chinese new year festivities. more than 20 floats will cruise down this year's parade route, and one local company is the go to every year to create most of them. ktvu james torres shows us the one float that organizers say is their favorite. perfect. >> from storage to showtime, these floats are on their way to the lunar new year parade route. stephanie munson calls this one her baby. >> i had this idea for a disco dragon back in like, september, and i just got so excited about it. when alaska approved the concept, she crafted most of the 22 floats in the parade, but this one might have taken the most work sponsored by alaska

airlines, it required five pairs of hands gluing tiny mirrors on this dragon for three weeks straight, just love the idea of this sparkling, magical kind of party dragon. >> all of these drivers are volunteers and they know what they're doing. most of them have been ups truck drivers for years. >> there's no trick because it's all slow speed, slow and steady. >> to make sure this 30 foot dragon makes it to the parade route in one piece, arguably the most important and tedious float of them all. >> it was just such a labor of love reporting in san francisco. >> i'm james torres, ktvu, fox two news, our live coverage of the san francisco chinese new yearare starts in just about an hour at 6:00, right here on ktvu fox two. >> you can also watch it on our fox local app for your smart tv. a teenager was shot and killed today in aioch. police say they were dispatched around 512 in the morning to observation highway between coliseum and singer parkway. at that scene,

they say they fou a 16 year old person, a man with at least one gunshot wound sitting in his injuries at the hospital. the investigatio reveals so far that the shooting took place on tupelo way in the area of redbud and wahiawa ways. this is an active, ongoing investigation and the identity of the victim will not be released. a former student at an east bay high school is suing the district and a teacher for alleged sexual abuse. the plaintiff accuses her former teacher, an arts teacher, ryan wiebel, of grooming and sexually abusing her during the 2010 2011 school year at san ramon valley high school in danville. the suit claims the district did not investigate in 2012, despite receiving numerous complaints of misconduct. we've always worked for diablo valley college and is currently employed by the private bentley schools in lafayette and oakland . we have reached out to the san ramon valley unified school district for a response, but have not yet heard back. a principal at a middle school in watsonville is in custody

tonight after being arrested on suspicion of rape, the santa cruz county sheriff's office says 58 year old dagoberto garcia from santa cruz was arrested tuesday. he's accused of sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman. garcia is the principal at edward a hall middle school. the pajaro valley unified school district has not responded to a request for comment on his arrest. police are searching for two women accused vlent home invasion robbery in san francisco. policeay the robbery happened on dakota street in the city's potro hill neighborhood sholy after 8:00 in the evening on ursd, they say two women broke into a house and forcefully stolcash from a 48 year old wom. the victim was taken to the hospital. police say her injuries are non-life threatening. anyone with information is asked to call police. people in benicia are complaining about an odor pouring out of the valero refinery nearby. officials say that the smell is the result of a flaring issue. this morning, the city confirms the source of the smell was specifically, quote, refined hydrocarbon,

which had to be moved between tanks after a unit went down last night. firefighters are testing air quality at multiple points throughout the city, using portable air monitors to ensure public safety. officials recommend residents close their doors and windows if the odor is strong in their area. coming up, we're hearing from the grand marshal of tonight's chinese new year parade. actor and comedian awkwafina, why she says san francisco is a special place for her and thousands of oakland a's fans gather for fans fest. coming up, the message they had for the team's ownership and quite a tacular saturday weather wise, with temperatures 5 to 10 degrees above average, i'll have a look at what we can expect for the rest of today and the rest of the weekend.

pressure on haley to drop out of the race. haley cast her ballot today alongside her mother and children, saying her mother was a lawyer and judge in india and haley says it was especially meaningful for her to see her mom cast a ballot for her as president. haley said she is taking her campaign day by day, adding she will continue to fight for those who support her. >> i always love election day. i think they're always there's a lot of excitement, energy. you could tell south carolinians are passionate. they're getting out and voting. that's what we want. >> haley says she plans to

continue to her campaign through super tuesday. san francisco's city hall voting center opened today for residents looking to get their march fifth ballots in early ballots can be dropped off any time 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this weekend, and next weekend, march 2nd and third next week. voters can access the center from eight in the morning until five in the evening. officials that support the city's election explain how the current number of returned mail in ballots compared to previous years. >> so right now we've got about 45,000 vote by mail ballots back from the voters. and that's actually tracking the march 2020 primary election. the presidential primary election. so this election, as far as turnout is concerned, is matching the previous most recent presidential primary election in 2020. and that election had a 57% turnout, i believe. so we're tracking along that as today, as we stand here, polling centers will open at 7 a.m. on march 5th. >> polls and city hall will close at 8 p.m. that day, early

voting begins in more than two dozen other california counties for the state's march 5th primary, polling centers are opening in 29 counties across the state. those include alameda, marin, napa, san mateo, santa clara and sonoma counties. oakland a's fans hosted fans fest near jack london square today. thousands of people showed up to celebrate the onset of yet another season. but as ktvu s bailey o'carroll shows us, the gathering was filled with fans and former players calling for the team's owner, john fisher, to sell the team. hopefully, john fisher shows the team that was a common line heard in the jack london square neighborhood on saturday, as an estimated tens of thousands of a's fans gathered, many of them donning a green shirt with one four letter word written across it. >> sell me a's fans and even former a's players gathered to celebrate the history of the franchise. that's called oakland home since 1968, but also air frustrations over the ongoing

saga that's become the a search for a new stadium. let's go oakland. >> it is embarrassing. i mean, a bunch of, uh, my friends are like, so what are you going to do? that's embarrassing. i love the a's, but ownership is pushing everybody away. i mean, it's pushing me away. >> the a's have their sights set on a new home in las vegas, but their stadium is not expected to be completed until 2028. and their lease in oakland is up in 2024, meaning they need a place to call home next season, albeit permanent or temporary. >> they're leaving this area open so they can go, um, we don't want them here for another three years. this is a lame duck, but with official stadium renderings. >> nowhere to be found. the las vegas deal is uncertain. so many are wondering if the a's could possibly stay in oakland, though, according to espn, the city and team have not spoken in more than 11 months as a's fans, we frustrated because they don't invest in their team. >> they don't spend money, they

don't resign players. they don't develop players. >> last season, the a's won just 50 of their 162 games, finishing with the worst record in baseball. the state of the organization now has former players speaking out against the front office. >> i got a little sick of hearing, uh, the business excuses for every reason that we do anything making as much money as possible wasn't always the goal, and isn't the reason people started these things. >> it's to be in service of people. >> trevor may, who played for the a's last season, said the problems the team has self-created all point back to owner john fisher. >> it comes down to the few want something for themselves. uh at the expense of the many. now it is worth noting that if the a's stay here in oakland, at least in the short terms, it would actually benefit a's owner john fisher. >> that's because the team would keep that media rights deal that they have right now, which is worth about $70 million. if they leave the bay area, that money likely gone in oakland. i'm

bailey o'carroll, ktvu, fox two news. former seattle seahawks and 49ers cornerbac richard sherman was arrested today for suspicion of dui in washington state. >> the washington state patrol confirmed sherman was arrested early this morning and booked into the king county jail shortly before 5 a.m, sherman previously pleaded guilty to first degree negligent driving and second degree criminal trespass, as well as speeding in a construction zone back in march of 2022. sherman played for the seahawks for six seasons, and the 49ers for three seasons. steve kerr has signed a two year deal with the golden state warriors, making him the highest paid coach annually in nba history. the warriors confirmed the record breaking deal last night. kerr has agreed to a contract extension worth $35 million. he will now remain the warriors head coach through the 2025, 2026 season. kerr has won four nba championships during his ten years with golden state. he. and check this out. this isn't your everyday autograph. the warriors share this photo on social media of a

young fan at the game last night asking gary payton, the second for his signature on his forehead, that young fan likely will be watching his forehead for a while. >> that is so funny. and of course, gary payton jr's of course. yeah. no problem. yeah that's such a great read right along. yep uh, good afternoon to all of you. what a beautiful one. hopefully you had a chance to get outdoors. today is going to be the warmest day of the weekend. we begin to transition a little bit tomorrow. tomorrow is still going to be good, but perhaps not quite as good as today. giving you a live look there over san francisco, where we do have blue skies overhead at this time. as again, folks are getting ready for the parade temperatures at this hour, anywhere from two to 4 to 6 degrees warmer compared to yesterday. a lot of low 70s around the bay area, which means many of us are about ten degrees warmer than where we should be because we're typically in the low 60s. this time of year. we've got 70 degrees right now. santa rosa, 70, reported in downtown san francisco, upper

60s in livermore. let's take a little bit of a tour. we'll zoom right into san francisco, and you can see widespread upper 60s, low 70s across most of the region there from the west side to the east. and then as we move into the north bay, we have temperatures in the low 70s in areas like napa. we've got sonoma reporting 71, the inner east bay right now, temperatures in the low 70s in areas near lafayette and castro valley, our south bay at this hour, even mid 70s around areas near morgan hill in san jose. although beginning to see those temperatures pull back just a little bit. san jose, it looks like topped out right about 74, a little bit earlier today. the winds are generally light, plenty of sunshine. and as i pull back here just a little bit, you can see the entire state of california in the dry at the moment. now notice what's lurking here off the coast. this is going to bring us the possibility of scattered showers, as well as a system dropping in from the north. and not only a slight chance of

showers on monday for the bay area, but but a winter weather advisory expected for the sierra that begins on a sunday evening and goes all the way until early tuesday. so tomorrow is going to be a little bit a cooler, followed by wet weather on monday. a better look at what you can expect in the extended forecast coming up. >> sounds good. rosemary thank you. authorities in new york city confirmed a lithium ion battery was the cause of a deadly apartment fire in harlem yesterday. one person died and 17 were injured as fox's ashley rodriguez reports, fire crews made several dramatic rescues. fdny video shows a daunting rescue by firefighters who had to use rope to rescue residents desperate to escape the flames raging inside an apartment building on 1/49 and saint nicholas place in harlem. >> there's a whole bunch of smoke everywhere. and then on the top floor in the back, you can see all these people, like waving out of the window. >> the blaze broke out around 215 friday afternoon in a third floor apartment and in a

minute's time, it quickly engulfed the hallways, ceiling busting out windows and sending thick black smoke into neighboring apartments, trapping unprepared residents on the floors above in a burning toxic fog. >> i try to like, reach out to them, get them or something. i opened the door. it was much blacker than it was before. like at that point, it was something where it was like a the smoke had become solid. people ran to their fire escapes, clinging to the steep vertical stairs, others choosing to jump from the upper windows of the six story building. >> they were hanging on to the window and yeah, i saw one person. i guess they couldn't hang on for long. um, and they fell to the ground. >> firefighters say they arrived in three minutes and immediately faced a challenging and harrowing scene. hallways were full of smoke and fire while inside apartments, people lay on the ground unconscious, forced to rescue those hanging on to escapes and off windowsill ledges. crews climbed to the

roof, using ropes to pull them up to safety. we usually have one of these a year or two. >> this was three at one fire, a very heroic action, and all of those people, unfortunately, are in critical condition. >> 18 people were rushed to the hospital, five in critical condition, but in just a matter of hours, one person succumbed to their injuries and died. crews continue to investigate the cause, but fox five cameras caught them carrying out a familiar culprit e-bikes equipped with their highly flammable lithium ion batteries that was fox's ashley rodriguez reporting. >> new york city fire investigators are still determining where that battery came from, and if it was part of an electric bike. coming up, how people are paying their respects to the late russian opposition leader alexei navalny. amid news authorities have released his body plus, saturday marks two years since russia began its invasion of ukraine.

video was published by the independent russian news outlet soda vision. it shows police officers stationed nearby and officers stopping several people for an id check. several people in russia have been arrested for placing flowers at the memorial set up or navalny. today marks two years since russia launched its invasion of ukraine. world leaders traveled there to show their solidarity as the military faces an increasingly uphill battle. without more help from the u.s, fox's greg palkot is in kyiv with the latest. ukraine marking a somber milestone on saturday , two years since the start of russia's invasion, two years of war and weariness for the ukrainian people with no end to the fighting in sight. >> after some early success in pushing back russia's advance, some cracks are beginning to show ukraine in recent weeks forced to abandon one of its key positions in the east as russian troops move in on terri ry that moscow hopes to take for itself. on saturday, ukrainian president volodymyr zelensky welcoming allies to kyiv and signing new

this year's grand marshal for the chinese new year parade is actor, comedian and rapper awkwafina. she's known for her work in a number of films, including crazy rich asians. awkwafina spoke with ktvu claudine wong about her new role in an upcoming movie, plus her connection to san francisco. when tens of thousands of people fill the streets of san francisco for the chinese new year parade, actress comedian and rapper awkwafina will be front and center as this year's grand marshal. >> when i heard the news that, um, uh, that i would be able to celebrate in san francisco with you guys, uh, i was just i was. yeah, blown away. so i'm so

excited to grand marshal the event and a little nervous, but it's i think it's going to be really fun. >> san francisco she says, is a special place for her. >> i mean, i have family, i have a there that that lives in has lived in san francisco for many years. so i remember going it was my first the first city i've been to when i visited california. um and i was really, really taken aback by, um, it's chinatown in, um, and it's also, it's, it's asian community because in new york, i didn't grow up with, um, a ton of other , um, specifically chinese american, uh, people. so i remember going in, like, really loving the chinatown and being, like, fascinated with it. and the food. >> and for her, it's about the big celebration, but also one that brings its own traditions for her and her family. >> i mean, it's a really important holiday for especially my grandma, who considers it the real new year. um and, uh, yeah, we do, we do the, the dumpling thing and the big meal. she's

getting older. so i think it also becomes about how, um, you know, now, now me and my cousins are going to carry on that kind of tradition. um, as, as, uh, yeah, as, as asian americans here as that next generation carrying on traditions. >> also means helping break out of what she is called detrimental tropes of asian americans. awkwafina grew up in queens and grew to fame on youtube. her collaboration with comedian margaret cho called green tea, focused on flipping stereotypes for her being a role model has always taken center stage, saying authenticity and representation is important. >> i don't think that i've changed in my message or who i am. i think that i'm still growing, though, you know? um, and i'm still figuring out what it means to be an asian american woman. you know, now, um, getting older and i guess, like the message is still the same,

but it's all about now for me, like ushering in the next generation of and also just being an audience member of, like, the next generation of asian american kids. but i definitely i feel like definitely the same as that, that girl that was doing youtube videos, uh, back. in the day, you know, and so as her career grows, so does her body of work from ocean's eight, shang-chi the farewell. >> her latest work includes her role as a new character in kung fu panda four. you're a wanted criminal. >> you sound surprised. is it surprising? i just love to be a part of, um, good stories and good story telling. um, and that's the only criteria for me right now. i don't i i'm open to , you know, all, all kinds of stuff as long as, um, yeah, i'm working with cool people and, uh , and it's a good script. >> and as we welcome in a new year, we welcome in her year. >> i'm the year of the dragon. so it's my year. you know what i mean? uh, hope, hopefully. >> and serving as grand marshal

continues a tradition. her fellow stars from the blockbuster crazy rich asians have also served in that role. director jon m chu was grand marshal in 2021, and michelle yeoh was grand marshal in 2018. >> i heard it was a big, big shoes to fill. >> this is a new tradition. everyone in that movie has to come and ride in this parade because it's important. but does it reinforce to you how monumental that was in terms of a movie? michelle yeoh came on right before it was released, and she was talking about it and even as an asian american, i didn't understand kind of how much impact it would have. >> yeah. and i don't think us as a cast a like really, really understood or realized that either until it was happening before our eyes and it was i think it was such it felt like such a monumental, um, moment for so many people because of the way that the way that i remember, like the, you know, when it came out, the way that it made people feel. and i think

attraction. a solano county librarian who gained a large social media following, says he is leaving his post to prioritize his mental health. >> this is a place where i've always felt safe, where i've always felt like i belong, where i've always felt like michael fritz is the supervising librarian for the fairfield civic center library. >> he was one of ten recipients last year of a prestigious award from the american library association. he often posts inspiring videos on social media promoting literacy, kindness and messages about mental health. in a video announcing his departure, threets thanked his coworkers and said he hopes to fight for literacy and appear before congress. bart's short story dispensers are expanding bart started installing kiosks at a handful of stations a few years ago that dispense short stories in a receipt form for passengers to read on their ride. the transit agency says it will install its next kiosk at the san leandro station. bart is also now calling on bay area teens to submit their poetry to be added to the kiosk

college opportunity found that csu's 23 campuses statewide enrollment declined by 6.5, almost 28,000 fewer students. locally, sonoma states enrollment is down 34. csu east bay down 25, san francisco state down 20. on top of that, the face of the student body is changing. white student enrollment declined by 13.1. black student count was down 5.4. asian students down 4.1, while the latino student count was up. >> i think it's always worrying about money. that's firsthand because, um, then you have to pay off like loans. if you're taking any, conley says. >> crushing debt crushes, amassing other wealth. >> right now, you can't even get in the door of buying a house if you've got the kind of student loan burdens that people are carrying, half of those ages 18

established group from the outside when it badly to fit in here. i was coming into this established thing a peanuts worldwide wanting really desperately to fit in. and here i was, uh, a black person representing something for black people. and on some level, franklin feels that you can catch a brand new episode of voices for change tomorrow morning at 930 on ktvu. >> plus, then at 630 in the evening, right here on ktvu. well, pg and e made more than $2 billion in profits last year. and the utility expects profits to be even higher this year. ktvu ali ramos explains. it comes just weeks after rate hikes went into effect for pg and e customers. pg and e reports it made a $2.24 billion profit last year, a 24% increase from the year before. >> in a call with investors pg and e credits last year's rate increases with boosting its bottom line. our new five year capital plan represents an

increase of over $10 billion in its shareholder orders, are pocketing money that's based on record rate increases. mark toney, with the nonprofit utility reform network, or turn, says pg. and e is planning to ask state regulators to approve more rate hikes in the future. >> pg and e has currently sitting on the desk of the california public utilities no less than 12 separate proposals for increases. >> 12 pg e says it needs that money to bury 1200 miles of power lines underground for wildfire prevention by law, they're allowed to make a profit on those safety improvements. they're asking us to pay them to bury lines on all those advertisements. >> you see on tv, where pg and e says, we're burying lines to keep you safe. ratepayers dear ratepayers, you're paying for those lines to be buried and

you're paying a profit of over 10% every time they stick a shovel in the ground. >> you're incompetent is causing me to pay more money. it's i don't see, you know, the math. and that $555 for one month for a family of three. >> we have to keep the heat on. it's cold, but we're really struggling just to pay such a high bill. it's never been this high. >> next month, the california public utilities commission, the state agency that's supposed to regulate pg and e, will vote on whether to allow it to add an additional 4 to $6 on their customers monthly bills. since 2014, pg and e customers bills have increased about 92, far outpacing the rate of inflation over that same ten year period. the california public utilities commission will vote on the next proposal from pg and e at its meeting on march 7th in walnut creek. ali rasmus ktvu, fox two news. we became a beacon in the lighthouse.

and who were behind an iconic moment during the 1968 olympics. ktvu joey horton spoke to the honorees after a crowd of admirers packing the uc berkeley alumni house friday night to honor three giants as athlete scholars and change agents. >> you exemplify the spirit of generations. >> two san jose state university sprinters on a victory podium at the 1968 olympics in mexico city. >> we became a beacon in the lighthouse, bronze medalist john carlos on the right, referring to his claim to fame standing alongside gold medalist tommie smith in the center with their heads bowed and each with a raised fist, the black power salute. >> all of this during the national anthem, a silent protest during the civil rights movement. >> the world got a chance to

see. it's almost like they opened the blinds for society and the athletes advocating for black people in the u.s. and around the world. we joined together and decided to make a stand not only a physical stand, but an academic stand to lend help to those who believe running was a lifelong message. >> their inspiration then san jose professor doctor harry edwards, creator of the olympic project for human rights. >> i don't think anybody expected, you know, 55 years later, for us still to be saying, hey, this was an important event. >> the goal to inspire black athletes to boycott at the 68 olympics, to shine a light on the civil rights movement and to inspire change. >> we're better than denial of civil and human rights, a cause they believe still rings true today, and one that the next generation at cal is grateful for honoring this iconic trio

where, as you know, we've been talking about the chinese new year parade, getting ready to get underway. and yes, last year the parade covered in wet weather. so not seeing that today, it's going to be gorgeous out there for those folks. meanwhile for most of the bay area today again, just unseasonably mild to warm 68 degrees in pacifica. but that's one of the cooler spots. mid 70s and oakland today 75 san jose in the north bay san rafael came in at 73. we are going to begin to see some changes tomorrow. a little bit of a transition day followed by a return to wet weather. here's a view of the storm tracker two, where we have a system here kind of churning off the coastline. you can see this is about a 1000 miles offshore, for it is going to move closer to southern california in the next 24 hours. and we will be clipped with a little bit of moisture from that system, as well as something dropping in from the north. and i'll show you the futurecast model, which lays it out for you as we get into the next few days, even into the weekend,

i'll show you. but first things first, we do have a winter weather advisory once again, i talked about this in the last half hour. it begins on sunday night and will go all the way until tuesday morning. so if you're traveling today, tomorrow should be okay. but into the evening hours monday is going to be the wet day in the sierra. as well as for us. here's a look at the future cast model. there's the system that we looked at just a moment ago on storm tracker two. here's a look at the other system. right now you can see in canada as we get into monday, notice how one is dropping in from the north. the other is moving ashore here from the west and we've got wet weather over california as well as the pacific northwest. we're not likely to see a whole lot of rain out of this. and it looks like by tuesday we're drying out, at least for a couple of days. here's a look farther into the week. thursday. another system dropping in from the north, bringing us some rain and perhaps snow. and if these storms are as cold as they look to be, it could be a whole lot of snow for the sierra. now
