mistake. >> i love that guy. i don't see him. i don't see him leaving. >> so will the niners resign? ba right. that's the question everybody wants the answer to. >> yeah absolutely. all right. we'll see. thanks bailey. thank you. >> next at 11 i think time will tell. some surveillance footage and witness testimony will will likely come forward. >> a bus crash in oakland injures more than a dozen people and shuts down city streets tonight. >> the 11:00 news on ktvu fox two starts now. >> hello again. this friday i'm cristina rendon and i'm alex savage. >> we have learned that 14 people were injured in that crash late today. and two people are in critical condition tonight. the crash happened around 445 this afternoon at 54th and international. we've learned there were more people on board that ac transit bus than the 14 who were injured. but officials don't have a precise number yet. ac transit officials say a chrysler 300 struck a prius while heading southbound on international, and that driver lost control, crossed over lanes and hit that

tempo bus head on. oakland firefighters responded to the crash. >> there was one main vehicle involved that that struck a second vehicle and then struckt& that the same speeding vehicle struck the ac transit bus, which was heading westbound, head on. andúso we have a mix of patients from each of the three vehicles. >> oakland fire officials say 11 passengers were taken to hospitals along with the bus driver. it's still unclear how badly they were hurt. >ñ a missing bay area teen is believed to have run away, and now her family is raising concerns over her whereabouts and in contact with. ktvu is joy horta spoke with the family and tells us about their plea for help. >> janira fuentes is desperate for help. it's a dangerous out there. this is her daughter, natalie fuentes, who goes by the nickname cleo. cleo is missing. >> you know, there's a lot of bad people out there. the worried mother tells us her 16

year old from san francisco went missing on wednesday after recently being released from a psychiatric hospital, and hasn't been seen or heard from since. just the unknown is what is what's killing us right now. >> cleo takes medicationúafter being diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but she didn't take her medication or anything else with her, and there are clues that she may not be alone. >> i foundúsome evidence on her phone. of her wanting to run away with, what we think is an older gentleman from santa cruz. >> the man in question goes by manuel on instagram. by friday, cleo's grandfather received a direct message on social media claiming to be from cleo to tell my mom that i'm alive and, that i'm okay. this mom's biggest fear is that her daughter could end up getting hurt or even worse, that she's gonna, you

know, end up with, someone who's not going to let her go or, you know, we're going to get a call to identify her or something. the last time cleo was seen by family, she had green hair. she pounds, and has several piercings on her face. this is what cleo's mom wants her to know that i love her and, just reach out to would like to hearr voice and i would like her to come home if she can. >> the family has filed a missing persons report with richmond police. if you know where she may be, call police in that was the target of severala- break ins is now taking steps to increase security. we brought you this story earlier in the week. firefighters returned to station eight on saturday night to find the front door kicked ig

from the station. the department tells ktvu it is going to reassess security procedures to ensure employees are safe, and that critical infrastructure is safe as well. >> a new trial started today for the two marin county men accused of fatally stabbing an italian police officer in rome in 2019, 23 year old finnegan elder and 22 year old gabriel natale-hjorth were teens when they were convicted and sentenced to life in prison. but last year, italy's highest court spthrew out their convictions, saying it had not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. today opening remarks in the new trial . the two are being held in separate prisons near rome. >> new tonight legislation has been introduced in san francisco that would limit new smoke shops in the city's tenderloin district. >> ktvu amberleigh tells us aboutúthe mixed reaction to the plan. >> new shops that sell tobacco and related products have opened in the tenderloin in recent

months, but new legislation introduced by supervisor dean preston could make it more difficult to open smoke shops in this neighborhood. >> these shops also selll you know, tools and items that drug users use to get high. so then they freaking them. get these shops sometimes. >> rene colorado supports the proposal. he lives in the tenderloin and is executive director of the merchants association for this district. you don't want three shops in a row, two in a row, three in the block that are selling a majority just tobacco productsn the proposed legislation would require any new business where more than 10% of the store is dedicated to the sales of tobacco or related products. to have a special permit. >> this is black lung down here with sm gift shop on larkin sells tobacco related products. >> the worker tells me. the store just opened two months ago. he says restricting the number of smoke shops is not the answer to solvingúthe problem of open drug use and sales. >> that's the government

problems, not the people problems. >> in limited english, he tells me. it's the government's problem and not on the people who own small businesses. residents say tobacco related products are already expensive and competition may bring down prices they oppose the proposed legislation and say that it's overreach by the government. >> i don't agree with that because i mean, for one, why wouldn't we want more variety? you know, we where you can, entrepreneurs should be able to have a business whenever they want. law, existing businesses would be exempt. preston tells me the next hearing will be with the land use committee on march 18th in san francisco. amber lee, ktvu, fox two news, a public employees union in san francisco, is askingc the state to block a measure super tuesda. >> the union filed an unfair practice charge with the state yesterday. they're taking issue

with prop f, which requires welfare recipients who are deemed drug users to enter treatment or risk losing theirt& benefits. they claim the city did not discuss prop f with the union before putting it on the ballot. the public employment relations board might prohibit san francisco from implementing good faith meeting with the union, president biden and former president trump both planned, and undecided voters, including moderates who supported nikki haley's now facing a difficult choice. ktvu jana katsuyama spoke with some haley supporters and joins us tonight with more on their thoughts moving forward. >> yes. and some of those haley supporters, they really loved the former governor. and so now they're trying to figure out what doúthey do spoke with two california republicans.úboth of them said that they liked haley because she brought a strong policies. they said that biden's state of the unionc is.

visit xfinitymobile.com today to learn more. legislation to recriminalize leading tonight's west coast wrap. >> the move comes about three years after the state became the first in the nation to decriminalize the possession and personal use of all drugs. oregon voters decriminalized various hard drugs in a 2020c ballot initiative that took effect in 2021, relaxing certain penalties for drug possession. under the law, offenders could face up to six months in jail or alternatively, elect toúundergo drug treatment. the new law takes effect on september 1st.

>> in colorado, hundreds of cases are now at risk afterc the colorado bureau of investigations said it learned that a dna scientist named ivan woods allegedly manipulated data in the dna process, the agency's review found. woods did not falsify dna matches, but it did allege she did not follow standard testing protocols, and that calls into question the reliability of her conclusions. the cbi says in the last 15 years, 652 cases were affected by woods and there could potentially be more. the state could spend millions of dollars just to retest thousands of dna samples. >> then, in southern california, officials are looking for a mountain lion seen roaming around oceanside. security cameras caught that line in a department of fish and wildlife experts say the cat is most likely a juvenile that may be lost. they say this kind of behavior is not completely out of the normal, and mountain lions are frequenting some public areas more wildlife

to abolish the practice of switching theúclocks twice a year. two years ago, the senate passed a bill to permanently keep the country on daylight saving time year round. but time expired on the bill before action was taken in the house. now there's an effort underway in the senate again to end the twice yearly time change. the bipartisan bill, called the sunshine protection act, would make daylight saving time. the national year round standard, and that is approaching. >> take a look at the sunrise and sunset sunset times on sunday, as we do have the time change sunrise not until 726. so it's going to be kind of dark early in the morning and then spsunset not till 712. so it wil evening hours. so yeah, it always seems like a big deal the first day of the change. and that's happening as you have been hearing about first thing sunday morning. now into the weekend, the forecast mostly

cloudy skies tomorrow, the chance of some showers is all favoring the north bay. and then on sunday, another system wants to move in that will boost the shower chances, especially by mid to late afternoon on sunday. right now it is still in the clear, nice quiet weather pattern for us, but as you can pick out in the pacific, we have some changes out here. lots of clouds approaching first thing w morning. here's a live camera right now looking out above san francisco. we'll check out some of the current numbers. we have some 40s up in the north bay for santa rosa, jose reporting 54 degrees. definitely some cloud cover. sptomorrow and at least for the morning hours and the chance of some drizzle and overnight cold, but still somewhat of a chill in the air in the 40s. so has been a nice day today. today, probably one of the warmest days of the week. we had some 60s and some 70s. we're spwatching the changes develop f shore here as the jet stream kind of moves to the south. so with that, the best chance of showers tomorrow will be up in the north bay. a slight chance, maybe closer to the south bay,

but the main impactsúwill be up in the north bay showers could be developing, but it could take some time later in theúday. on sunday, of course, in the sierra. remember last week we were talking about blizzard warnings and all that major snowfall quiet we will bring in but snow chances will be going up on sunday, especially by late sunday afternoon. sunday night we could be talking about some snowfall into monday as well, so they have a winter storm watch for that time frame. here's our forecast model. the best chance of showers tomorrow morning will be up in the north bay. maybe a sun cloud mix into the afternoon . here is your sunday and as you can pick out later in the afternoon hours on sunday, those rain chances could be going up into sunday evening as well. and then on monday we'll still have quite a few clouds roll into the area. highs for tomorrow will be cooler than today. upper 50s to the lower 60s. and here's a look ahead. your five day forecast. we have a few rain clouds on this five day, but no major storms. chance of a shower tomorrow. showers develop later in the day. on sunday, some clouds into monday. showers

see soccer balls to children at mckinley elementary school in san jose. the team held an event in collaboration with america scores, a nonprofit that aims to inspire youth to lead healthy and impactful lives. the nonprofit says 85% of their students live below the poverty line, but through their program, they've been able to improve 85% of their students cardiovascular health and improve 75% of their grammar and writing skills. along with the soccer balls, the earthquakes donated $15,000 to america scores that money raised from a charity fundraiser that was held by the team.t& >> our coverage of women's history month. the women's soccer team, bay fc, will begin their inaugural season later this month. ktvu mark sayer tells us about the club now welcoming a star forward to the team just before play begins. come on out. >> forward asisat oshoala runs drills with her new team at the
