aside, it's march, and as we all know from those busted brackets of years past, that means the unexpected seems to become the ordinary more often than not. the end of the day when they throw the ball up. friday we're going to have to play. and both teams are good, and whoever plays the best is going to win. >> you heard him there. whoever plays best is going to win. so now that the bracket is all set, let's look at the number one seeds here in the south. we've got houston, midwest at purdue spin the west, north carolina ad in the east the overall number one seed, the uconn huskies, the defending national champions. so all these number one seeds will take on a 16 seed in according t a 1.32% chance of upsetting that number one seed. and speaking of odds, we've all done it right. you sit down, you but there's nn a perfect one. but every year you sit there and you have that feeling this is year i'm going to do the

impossible. i'm going to have now dreams before the tournament even starts, but it is a tall task. the odds of filling out a perfect bracketc if you know nothing about basketball, if you pick teams based on color or mascots, that is one and a very look up how to say that number, but simply put, it is higher than than one and 9 quintillion. now if you we want to put that into perspective a little bit, the odds of winning the powerball jackpot is one and 292 million. the odds of getting struck by lightning one and just over 1u,000, which is so much lower than i actually thought. so good luck to you that brackee basketball, your chances if you have some knowledge of college basketball, your chances go up to about one and 120 million. but hey, don't let that discourage you. i believe in your ability to fill out that bracket. and then we move on to the women's side of the bracket.
