mibach. renel brooks-moon leaves behind a legacy of being the first black woman to be a pa announcer for major league baseball games, she posted on social media tonight saying, as a little girl, going to candlestick could never have grateful doesn't seem to be a big enough word. born inc 1958,i never saw or heard anyone on tv or radio that looked like me. i hope i have inspired many fans. your support is everything. i so love you. ktvu jana katsuyama spoke with fans and other sport figures about the loss for thet& giants. >> the news hit home to giants fans who for 24 years have heard the voice of renel brooks-moon welcoming them to oracle park, batting six first baseman number nine. in a sudden statement, the giants announced monday that they were not extending her contract, which ended in december, saying, quote, after extensive discussions, they mutually and amicably agreed to part ways. instead, she will be known as public address

to care at saint mary's medical center and francis memorial hospital. both were purchased by ucsf for $100 million. dozens of nurses shared their concerns at city hall today. ucsf has said that it is committed to keeping staff and medical service at the two sphospitals at current levels, r even above. >> also new at 11 two companies accused of making deceptive pandemic loan promises have now agreed to pay millions of dollars in damages, the federal trade commission says. buis, to credit and womply, made false promises to small businesses applying for the paycheck protection program. the companies are accused of advertising faster application processing times and ignoring customers buys. two credit has agreed to pay $33 million, while womply will pay $26 million. and today womply issued a statement saying in part, quote womply remains proud of its success, facilitating over 1.3 million ppe loans during the covid 19 pandemic. while we disagree with

the validity of the ftc's allegations and claims, the company and its ceo have made a are satisfied to put the ftc'sd- allegations behind them. >> tonight, the antioch police oversight commission held its first official meeting. the commission is made up of seven volunteers. members were sworn in last month and at the meeting tonight, interim police chief brian addington introduced himself and then invited each member to a ride along with an officer. mayor lamar thorpe also spoke at the meeting about what he expects out of the commission. >> i'm here to ask all seven of you to join me as we rebuild our police department and as we rebuild, trust your role here is to help rebuild trust because trust has been violated. >> the police oversight commission was formed in response to a series of problems involving antioch police officers, including a racist text messaging scandal. >> the former head of san francisco's public utility commission has been sentenced to

a forklift this morning. tonighs westúcoast rap. this is video from sky fox showing los angeles fire crews on the scene. firefighters helped remove the so law enforcement couldt sitet- investigate it is unclear how that worker became trapped up in oregon, and injured hiker had to be rescued on mount hood when she was struck by falling ice. >> this incident happened over this past weekend, the clackamas county sheriff's office says a 43 year old woman was descending the popular south side route on mount hood. the ice caused her to fall and left her unable to

her. ktvu south bay reporter lamonica peters has more now from police. >> just outside of smithfield park in half moon bay. there's a walking trail that runs along the coast. >> generally, we haven't had any. i haven't had any issues or concerns about my safety, so this is quite a surprise. >> san mateo county sheriff's bureau chief in half moon bay says a local woman reported being groped while on the trail saturday night, about 7:00 along her walk. >> she was accosted by an individual on a bike. and he touched her inappropriately. he groped her essentially. she screamed, which was a great reaction because itúscared him off. and he, on hisúbike. he left the area. police report, and now policea want the community to be on alert while using the trails. >> because though this is the only incident that we have had reported to us, we it that way.o

opioids. 59 year old parto karimi of alamo was sentenced to one year and a day after pleading guilty to one count of& prescribing a controlled substance outside the scope of professional practice. prosecutors say karimi would also write prescriptions in exchange for street drugs or cash payments. in addition to her prison sentence. karimi was ordered to forfeit her medical license. >> theúcity of oakland is considering a new strategy to better respond to abandoned vehicles on city streets. city council member rebecca kaplan says residents complain that removing abandoned vehicles currently takes several months, so she's now proposing spending $250,000 to sweep the entire city. this plan would allocate money for a dedicated parking management analyst. it also proposes using lots owned by caltrans as tow yards. the oakland city council is scheduled to vote on the measure

coast will keep it kind of mild there and it's going to in factl be the first day of springn the vernal equinox is tomorrow and that will begin our movement into the longer days, obviously, and are working our way towards the solstice, longest day of the year, the summer solstice. so the fog at the coast will be there tomorrow morning. it'll be further than that. the coast. it'll be inland. it'll be pushing into oakland. it'll be pushing up over the east bay hills, up into concord. not a huge push, but enough so the fog is back do a number on the morning in terms of cloud cover. and then the clouds burn off and you get a pretty nice day again tomorrow. and today we had a few clouds this morning around the bay. they burned off pretty quickly. here's the model. this shows the basically the fog footprint for the morning. and then it shows a burn off real quick. and then as you go into wednesday morning, not much there. and then wednesday afternoon a few clouds and then thursday more clouds and then thursday. what you can't see here night into friday is that chance for the next chance for a shower, which you will see in the five day forecast. these are the highs

skimboarding at kelly state beach in san mateo county yesterday afternoon when he lost control of his board. the boy went out to get the board, but got caught in a rip current. cal fire says the father then swam out to rescue his son, but also struggled in the current lifeguard luke pallone, was nearby and noticed what wast& happening. he swam out father ae then checked out by paramedics and were okay and that rescue getting the governor's attention, he said. thank you lifeguard pallone for bravery. e you represent the best that the golden state has to offer. >> supporters of alameda countye say they have evidence of potential fraud in the recall campaign against her. the groupd today. they're now taking their complaints to the u.s. attorney for northern california because they have not received a response from state attorney general rob bonta about their claims. they say the evidence includes petitions left unprotected in signature gatherers who are from outside

restored at an east bay high school after a fire broke out inside the gym. amador valley high school in pleasanton wast& without power for most of the day. class was still in session, but with no wi-fi, so teachers had to get creative. school officials say the fire started in a inside the small gymnasium. >> as part of the safety precaution, us pga does shut off power to any building that's affected by a fire, which also affected other parts of our campus. >> email updatesúwerec sent to parents periodically, overnight and throughout the day. power was eventually restored around noon. >> secured millions of dollars to help improve the mental health l receive funding from a $13 million grant. the money will be used to expand wellness centers on campuses. a recent silicon valley index report found nearly
