10:49 pm
and it was pleasant to say the least. lots of upper 70s, low 80s. warmest day of the week. temperatures tomorrow will be down just a couple of degrees as we look at the 79. in vallejo, 78 in fairfield. those temperatures are going to essentially work their way, maybe down a degree or two. so with that in mind, we push forward into the oh, there's the fog from today. and that was the fog that was definitely showing up along the coast. and it's going to be there again tonight and tomorrow morning, and then it's going to cool or it's going to warm again and then it's going to cool. so that's what the message i'm trying to send there fog came back. temperatures are going to be like they were today. temperatures on saturday and friday and saturday are going to cool significantly. saturday right now looks like it's the wettest potential day on the weekend. so we are definitely in a position where the rain is going to come down, especially along the coastal sections in the morning. i'll show you that in the model. here is the satellite loop and you can see the system already. here it is right 72 hours away and it's
10:50 pm
going to just drop down quickly. and it's a good system. i mean some areas could get a quarter inch, half inch of rain maybe in the coastal hills south and big sur down towards santa cruz mountains. i think most of us will get a 10th or a quarter, and it's a mainly an over night thing. saturday into saturday, midmorning and afternoon. so i'll show you that on the model. here is tomorrow morning. a little bit of fog at the coast tomorrow afternoon. fog, a little bit of fog at the coast. and then friday morning more clouds. so that's the cooling. friday afternoon. still rain. offshore systems way back here. these are rain bands in front of the system. and then right around midnight, two in the morning. it starts to rain on saturday morning. at this point friday night or saturday morning, a break in the morning from about seven to about ten. and then that next wave pushes through into the afternoon. so the potential for a thunderstorm exists and it clears out pretty quick after that. so sunday looks like an okay day. so friday not bad. cloudy cooler
10:51 pm
but fine. and sunday not bad. clearing partly cloudy, mild and saturday i'm going to need the umbrellas perhaps, and there'll be some breaks, but it's going to be one of those days like we saw a few weeks ago with those cut off lows that would bring the scattered shower, maybe a thunder shower. you didn't get any showers, but a couple of miles down the road they got heavy rain. that's the kind of thing that could go on on saturday. so just be prepared for an unsettled day. the five day forecast reflects that. there it is, friday. cooler, but nice rain returns. that's going to be on saturday. and then sunday looks fine. we just got to put a chance in there in case there's something two two in the morning on sunday there's the five day forecast. i'll see you back here at six. >> all right bill, thank you. members of the international olympic committee are traveling to salt lake city this week to scout for a potential site for the 2034 winter olympics, and there is a lot of excitement in the city as officials check out what is expected to be the final site visit. a formal announcement of the city hosting
