hamper kind of the product we put on the field. so just being able to have lines and numbers and, and simple hash marks, things that you don't think about that really affect your ability to be effective on a football field, a growing concern for coaches in the game of football surrounds the safety of turf football fields related to player injuries. >> if you've been watching the games, you've seen players suffer torn acls and torn achilles. so i asked coach mills is it really beneficial going from grass to turf maintenance and the attention it takes to maintain natural grass at a high quality level is just not something sustainable for a high school. >> you know, i think when you put in turf a brand new turf like this, good quality turf, now you're expecting not to replace it for ten years, even though maybe it might be easier on your knees and your joints and your ligaments, and your foot doesn't get caught in the turf. and some of those other things that coaches like about natural grass just for us at the high school level, it's not feasible to maintain one of the seniors and leaders on the wolverines will be mister

athlete jalen bryant. >> he's eager to be part of the first team to play on this field. >> i can't wait. i'm so excited. like i just want to i just can't wait. i ain't gonna lie. like, i'm so excited to just like. and i feel i feel kind of honored even though i had nothing to do with it making this happen in oakland. >> i'm jesse gary, ktvu, fox two news, so great to see not only the new field, but the kids so excited about the new field, ready to tear it up, ready to play. all right, let's go back over to our chief meteorologist, bill martin, now with a look at the forecast. gosh, it was cold the last couple of days, but things are warming up again. yeah. >> it was i mean, especially yesterday i mean yesterday was just wasn't the day we were expecting for memorial day weekend. but now today worked out great up into the low 80s tomorrow. well these were the highs from today. tomorrow temperatures go to about the same point. so we're going to see lots of low 80s. i think that 84 in antioch turns into 82. the difference between today and tomorrow will be that we got legit fog at the coast tonight, and it will be around tomorrow. and of course, that'il filter
11:19 pm
cool, moist air into the inland bay valleys, and that will turn these temperatures down a few degrees. you can see the yeah, you can see the fog there. if you look off in the distance, you can kind of see it kind of tv you're on. but there's fog right there. and then you can see some fog lifting over it, wafting over san francisco for the most part. so it's a very, very kind of foggy night at the beaches. it'll be foggy again tomorrow morning, especially from about san francisco south, but memorial day looks like a good one. just like today, essentially, but with fog. and so that will turn temperatures down a little bit from where they were today along the coast and at the immediate bay. but you get over the east bay hills and into the north bay. you probably won't notice much, much difference. right now. temperatures are warmer than they were last night. the winds are doing what they do out of the northwest for the most part. nothing extreme out there. i expect the winds tomorrow night will be a little stronger, but just classic barry of springtime weather. not yesterday. yesterday was not, but today and tomorrow will be. and here's tomorrow morning's forecast with the fog tomorrow afternoon a little bit break and then boom, big fog push on tuesday morning tuesday afternoon and then
11:20 pm
wednesday morning wednesday afternoon. so the takeaway here is remember last week and the week before. it's hard to remember weather days actually. but but it was a lot. this week is going to be a lot like the last two weeks have been, which is this fluctuation in the hot spots between the upper 70s and the low mid 80s. upper 79, 79, 82, 83, 77, 79, that kind of thing right through the week. so forecast highs tomorrow. take us to that same place. and then the five day forecast. you'll see what i'm talking about. if you look at that middle row of numbers that's the bay area. that's most of us. that's a you know that's fremont and oakland and san francisco. the bigger cities, san jose. so you're looking at mid 70s and upper 70s right through the week and into the weekend. so it's nice. it's nice the air quality be good with this thing. but just not a not a not a scorcher. tomorrow will be nice. >> all right. thank you bill. lagunitas brewing closing its operations in the midwest and moving all of its brewing back to petaluma. the company opened
