near history, nobody should look the other way in the face of war crimes committed by israel in gaza, these crimes are putting the rules-based order at stake. once the moral compass is lost, we all find ourselves an uncharted territory. if international law is replaced by the rules of jungle, it is no longer possible to uphold. use of our age, in other words, if we do not hold the israel accountable for committing these war crimes, such outrageous behavior will be emulated easily elsewhere. as like-minded countries, peace loving countries, we should act in unity and with one voice against israeli aggression, we should keep up our joint. we

of are following up on the implementation of the decisions taken at the organization of islamic cooperation and arabic joint summit. as part of the ministerial group established by this summit and mandated by the joint of resolution, our forum minister visited several. capitals for joint demarches to achieve peace, they have made certain progress and our collective efforts are going on. dear colleagues, ignoring the root causes of today's problems between israel and palestine will not contribute to the solution at all. therefore, what needs to be done is crystal clear. first, immediate sessation of hostilities must be delivered. second,
6:04 pm
sustainable and unhindered flow of humanitarian assistance into gaza must be absolutely ensured. third, the parties must be brought together to agree a two-state solution, living side by side in safe and on 67 borders with east jerusalem as the capital of the state of sovereign state of palestine. it is time to act and deliver with we need less words, more action. dear colleagues, as other friendly countries, turkish government mobilized it resources for humanitarian aid such as goods, medicine, hospitals, any any material needed in palestine, besides that, we brought and st still we are bringing wounded people and patients especially cancer patients from palestine to. turkia for
6:05 pm
treatment. i will not mention the numbers, because what palestinians is not, they need, of course this assistance, but they deserve more. palestinians want dignity, they want of emancipation, they want end of the occupation rightfully. we all have to put our minds and hands together to help palestinians to achieve.
6:06 pm
as mentioned by madam turkovic, to file petition in the icc international criminal court against israel for war crimes is part of it. they collect evidence and they will submit it. i invite everybody to do this, because we have an example presidence of accountability mechanism established, mobilized for russia ukraine war. it is near presidente be in all the details. certainly we will need in the future for not repeating these crimes and make the responsible perbitators accountable. thank you very much. thank you very much, mr. the next speaker is his excellency mr. mushahed hussein, chairman of the defense committee of the senate of the islamic republic of pakistan. you have the floor sir. thank you very much. bismillahirrahmanirrahim. assalamualaikum
6:07 pm
ladies and gentlemen, good after. first of all, on behalf of the government, the parliament, and the people of pakistan, i would like to speecially thank. the government of iran, the ministry of foreign affairs of iran and the people of iran for their warm and gracious hospitality and also congratulate our iranian brothers, because iran and pakistan are neighbors on holding this very successful conference in a very short span, when we see this diverse and distinguished audience from mauritania to malaysia, from sri lanka to syria, from ireland to indonesia, and we even have our kitab, the jewish brothers in faith from new york, the orthodox jews who are anti-zionists and have taken a very principal position on
6:08 pm
the israeli crimes against humanity led by rabai wice. we welcome you sir. ladies and gentlemen, due to the... posity of time, i will just focus on three points: number one, pakistan and palestine, what is role and relationship? number two, the implications, the consequences of israel's genocide and crimes against humanity, and number three, what is the way forward? for us in pakistan, palestine is part of a dna, the great leader and founder... of pakistan, qade azam mohammad ali jinna even before the creation of pakistan in 1947 focused on palestine, supported palestine and after becoming governor general of pakistan in august 1947,
6:09 pm
his first letter in december 1947 was to president was to president truman of the united states where he said, that establishment of israel is going to be destabilizing and damaging for the region and for the muslim world as way back as then, and since then we are the only non arab country, ladies and gentlemen, which took part in two arab israel wars in the 1967, june war where pakistani pilots flew in the planes of jordan air force and shot down two israeli planes. and also in the october 1973 ramazan war where pakistani pilots flying the syrian air force planes shut down israeli planes and for the first time the recognition of the palestine liberation organization plo took
6:10 pm
place in pakistan at the islamic summit in lahore in 1974 six months before the arab league summit in rabat so pakistan has this very close. close relationship with palestine and even during this current crisis, our role has been very clear, pakistan together with saudi arabia, co-sponsored the initiative for holding the extraordinary oic summit in saudi arabia on 11th of november, we supported the jordanian initiative, the resolution in the united nations general assembly also, which passed with the vast majority. and pakistan has sent two consignments of goods and planes to alleviate the suffering of the people of ghaza on 17th of october and on 7th of november and pakistan is also offered to establish field hospital in rafa and also to
6:11 pm
help in the evacuation of the wounded people of gaza to pakistan along with their families and attendants. ladies and gentlemen. men this tofan al gaza has exposed and shattered the myth of israeli vin invincibility and also exposed the hypocrisy and double standards of western countries when they talk of human rights, when they talk of civil liberties, when they talk of freedom of speech, that when it comes to the issue of muslims, when it comes to the issue of palestine, there are two different standards. and this so-called rules based order and this the un security council is also very toothless and also the united nations declaration of human rights has also been gravely undermined. ladies and gentlemen,
6:12 pm
pakistan feels strongly that the way forward is end the genocide of the palestinian people in gaza and west bank and the occupation, which is the root cause as the... un secretary general said that tufanal gaza didn't come in a vacuum, there is a context to 56 years of occupation, 15 years, last 15 years, five different conflicts in. gaza and so there was a resistance to repression by the people of palestine and we also feel that the only way forward is the establishment of an independent sovereign palestine state with al quds al sharif as the capital and i would also finally submit that as our malaysian friends also said that we should hold israel accountable whether it's the international criminal court, whether is the international court of justice, just as the gambia took
6:13 pm
rohinga's case to the icj and won it, i think israel should be held accountable for its war crimes in the international court of law, and secondly, in the battle of narratives, excellency, i think we should have a concerted strategy among muslim countries, and finally, there's a lady from bosnia, and bosnia faced the same cleansing 30 years ago in the heart of europe, they were all five countries made a difference. pakistan was one the first to support bosnia. i personally carried relief goods to bosnia and sarajevo in december 1993 and met president ali izid begovich and then iran, saudi arabia, turkey and malaysia followed suit. and today we have an independent state of bosnia and herzegovina. so i think we should be clear, we should give full support to the palestine cause with single minded determination. and last, i would also like to endorse what a friend from lebanon said that 2024 should be
6:14 pm
the year of the palestinian child, and i also endorse the demand of our brothers from afghanistan, my brother amir khan muttaqi who is the debunk wazer kharja of afghanistan, that the sanctions against afghanistan are also criminal after they have faced occupation, they have faced wars and conflict and any sanctions whether against afghanistan. or even iran or any other country by the west is unacceptable, long live palestine and long live solidarity of the muslim ummah with the people of palestine. thank you very much. i thank mr. shah housein. two next speaker is first the mr. safrankov, the special representative of the russian federation uh on the middle east peace process and then and then uh yes. palestine conference happening here in the capital, tehran, the member of parliament of
6:15 pm
pakistan, mushahed hussein was speaking there, we're going to cross on over now to our correspondent who is at the venue, gisumi shahmedi, joins us to tell us more, my voice, tell us some of the highlights of this very important conference, which obviously is star studed in terms of representatives from all all around the world from what we're saying. well cover, this is a high-level meeting, as you can see there are ministers coming from all over the world, literally, they've gathered here in tehran for this initiative the islamic republic of teran holding a conference in tehran on palestine at this point in time in history, and of course the fact that we have uh ministers from different nationalities, even non-muslim countries that are here. shows that the issue of palestine today is humanitarian issue, it transcends
6:16 pm
all borders, it is no longer a regional issue or a national issue, this is something that pertains to mankind in general, and any human being witnessing what is happening today in palestine in the occupied territories cannot remain silent. now i would like emphasize that this conference and the part uh that uh you were just watching right now, the main part of the conference is only one side uh probably the most important thing happening right now or the panel discussions uh since the early hours this morning there have been several panels and discussions have been uh people have been taking part uh experts, pundits, political activists have been taking part in those panel discussions to... decide what can actually be done uh, all of them have been emphasizing that uh rhetoric is
6:17 pm
enough, talking is enough, we need to take some practical steps, so while we had the iranian president ibrahim raisi uh emphasizing on the fact that the united states has to be held accountable for the atrocities that are being committed with its support by the israeli regime in the occupied territories, vetoing sease fire. the that blatant move by the united states, this is something that uh us officials need to be held accountable for, uh, the fact that the unsc has proven to be a failure. uh to all nations worldwide by not being capable of uh obligaging the israeli regime to stop its atrocities, these are of course very important issues, but on the panel discussions caves something that was brought up is the fact that uh we need some other
6:18 pm
alternative media, the reason for that is that mainstream media is now control. controlling the narrative, it's controlling what kind of news is coming out from the occupied territories and how the stories are being told, so basically what we need is for alternative media today not to have to depend on news agencies such as reuters or ap in order to get their first hand stories, so we need to establish our very own news agency, one that is into. independent from mainstream media and which will uh of course promise to uh be the voice of the voiceless, pretty much what press tv is trying to do right now, and of course another issue that was brought up uh, we all remember the floatilla, the mavi marmara and what happened, and uh something that's quite interesting is that today, most
6:19 pm
the speakers proposed that there should be another fotella, humanitarian. uh flotilla moving towards gaza, now this, of course, we do know uh that the israeli regime will blatantly oppose to that floatilla, they will probably try to repeat what they did with a mavi marmara, but what it will do, kovi is that it will allow public opinion to focus more on what's happening in gaza, because if the israeli regime uh has the audacity to stop humanitarian floatilla who is... is simply trying to get humanitarian aid to the people of gaza, that simply tells the entire word lot about where exactly they stand, and of course another issue that was brought up during the panel discussions covet was the fact that public opinion today is now shifting towards uh support for the palestinian nation, and that is because
6:20 pm
people are realizing what the truth is, and this shows that the path. moving towards right now is the correct path, we need more support for the palestinian people in order to help them to liberate the occupied territories. thank you very much for that, we appreciate it live for us from the fino of the conference of uh on palestine, which is uh featuring high ranking officials from around the world as she mentioned. i believe at this point we may uh up to, yes we're going to go back to the conference at this point on palestine.
6:21 pm
6:22 pm
the serious role of russia and its partners in the region must be an active one. thank you for your kind attention. thank you very much. if you last the least. thank you, mr. mr. chairman. i want to particularly thank. the government of islamic republic of iran, the honorable foreign minister, for this far sighted step that you have. taken, i stand here with the advantage of having heard everyone throughout the day and the stirring speech that the honorable president made, i
6:23 pm
think very little is left to say except to stand here in solidarity with the purpose of this of this meeting and the uh commitment that everybody has shown towards the people of. palestine, mr. foreign minister, i thank you personally, and we move to say that we meet here in a moment of tragedy, moment of pain, and for humanity, it seems that we haven't learnt any lessons whatsoever from the past 50 years, we've become accustomed to horror. as a way of life, insensitive to the suffering of others a scale that is unimaginable, but we see it before us every
6:24 pm
day, and it would not be wrong to say civilization itself is in peril, but there are bright lights and there are and there there is hope on the horizon. senator hussein and i sit together here, our countries disagree on 100. things, but here we are, here we are in unison saying that solidarity with palestine and its children and its women and its people is something that we express, we express this together and thank you, thank you mr. foreign minister for giving us this chance, this is, this is no time to ask who lit the fire and who is to blame? this is time to douse the fire that has destroyed the flowers of our common future, our children. the killing and destruction is not just for
6:25 pm
now terrifying our us, horrifying us, but will cast its shadow over several generations to come, and we as a generation will not be forgiven if we do not today stand up for humanity. and ensure that humanity is safely, safely handed over to generations to come, so as we stand, as we sit here today and reflect upon these serious challenges to humanity, i want to just repeat a couplet in urdu, which we are familiar with, my my friend here will understand it instantly, but for the for the translator, i i will speak it in english as well after i recite it in urdu which is my mother tongue to idhhar udhar ki na baat kar ye bata ke caafile kyun lute ham rehzano se
6:26 pm
garz nahi teri rehbari ka sawaal hai don't speak about this and that please get to the point and tell us why the caravans were looted we don't care about we don't care about the rehzan we don't care about the culprit, but we are asking you a question, this is a question about your leadership, this is a question about your integrity of which conference on palestine is taking place live, of which you're watching different reps uh from around the world who are speaking, the um different countries is significant in the fact that it shows how so many countries around the world are against this us israely genocidal war that's taking place uh we had the um president of iran uh as the host of this conference and pretty much the different statements that he made and approaches that he had towards this general war was resonated
6:27 pm
from the different speakers from around the world. our corresponding is standing by with the iranian foreign ministry spokesperson nasir khanani and we will now hand it over to gisu and see what mr. kanani has to say over to you. well, carges, as you mentioned, this is very important conference taking place here today in tehran, and i do have with me the spokesperson of the iranian foreign ministry, mr. naser khanni, who will be giving us more details about this conference. thank you very much, mr. khan, if you please tell us more about what's happening today. in line with the islamic republic of iran's diplomatic efforts for. taking action in order to put an end to the brutal aggression by designist regime against the people of gaza, the international tehran conference was
6:28 pm
organized and 27 days, the crimes committed by the usarzionist regime is the naked violation of all international rules and human rights and international humanitarian law, and also is the violation of the four geneva convention, so this indicates that the islamic republic of iran's realization of the israeli threat against international peace and security is a correct realization, and the world has come
6:29 pm
to... conclusion that the issue of palestine is top priority one, attention must importance must be attached to this issue, more representatives from more than 60 countries have participated in tehran conference, this indicates that the world considers this as an important issue, and the issue of palestine has managed to uh actually prove its importance with regard to internationally.
6:30 pm
for delivery of humanitarian aid and that the islamic republic of iran has always believed that the palestinian people deserve determining their political faith. while supporting the rights of palestinians and supporting the resistance front, the islamic republic of iran, almost five years ago presented this political plan, it has been registered at the un. "if the world believes in the democratic solution and if the us and europe believe that democracy matters, the issue of palestine, can be resolved through holding a referendum participated by all real citizens of palestine, and in this way the the the fate of palestine will be determined and unified government will be formed."
