his first letter in december 1947 was to president was to president truman of the united states where he said, that establishment of israel is going to be destabilizing and damaging for the region and for the muslim world as way back as then, and since then we are the only non arab country, ladies and gentlemen, which took part in two arab israel wars in the 1967, june war where pakistani pilots flew in the planes of jordan air force and shot down two israeli planes. and also in the october 1973 ramazan war where pakistani pilots flying the syrian air force planes shut down israeli planes and for the first time the recognition of the palestine liberation organization plo took

place in pakistan at the islamic summit in lahore in 1974 six months before the arab league summit in rabat so pakistan has this very close. close relationship with palestine and even during this current crisis, our role has been very clear, pakistan together with saudi arabia, co-sponsored the initiative for holding the extraordinary oic summit in saudi arabia on 11th of november, we supported the jordanian initiative, the resolution in the united nations general assembly also, which passed with the vast majority. and pakistan has sent two consignments of goods and planes to alleviate the suffering of the people of ghaza on 17th of october and on 7th of november and pakistan is also offered to establish field hospital in rafa and also to

help in the evacuation of the wounded people of gaza to pakistan along with their families and attendants. ladies and gentlemen. men this tofan al gaza has exposed and shattered the myth of israeli vin invincibility and also exposed the hypocrisy and double standards of western countries when they talk of human rights, when they talk of civil liberties, when they talk of freedom of speech, that when it comes to the issue of muslims, when it comes to the issue of palestine, there are two different standards. and this so-called rules based order and this the un security council is also very toothless and also the united nations declaration of human rights has also been gravely undermined. ladies and gentlemen,

pakistan feels strongly that the way forward is end the genocide of the palestinian people in gaza and west bank and the occupation, which is the root cause as the... un secretary general said that tufanal gaza didn't come in a vacuum, there is a context to 56 years of occupation, 15 years, last 15 years, five different conflicts in. gaza and so there was a resistance to repression by the people of palestine and we also feel that the only way forward is the establishment of an independent sovereign palestine state with al quds al sharif as the capital and i would also finally submit that as our malaysian friends also said that we should hold israel accountable whether it's the international criminal court, whether is the international court of justice, just as the gambia took

rohinga's case to the icj and won it, i think israel should be held accountable for its war crimes in the international court of law, and secondly, in the battle of narratives, excellency, i think we should have a concerted strategy among muslim countries, and finally, there's a lady from bosnia, and bosnia faced the same cleansing 30 years ago in the heart of europe, they were all five countries made a difference. pakistan was one the first to support bosnia. i personally carried relief goods to bosnia and sarajevo in december 1993 and met president ali izid begovich and then iran, saudi arabia, turkey and malaysia followed suit. and today we have an independent state of bosnia and herzegovina. so i think we should be clear, we should give full support to the palestine cause with single minded determination. and last, i would also like to endorse what a friend from lebanon said that 2024 should be

all borders, it is no longer a regional issue or a national issue, this is something that pertains to mankind in general, and any human being witnessing what is happening today in palestine in the occupied territories cannot remain silent. now i would like emphasize that this conference and the part uh that uh you were just watching right now, the main part of the conference is only one side uh probably the most important thing happening right now or the panel discussions uh since the early hours this morning there have been several panels and discussions have been uh people have been taking part uh experts, pundits, political activists have been taking part in those panel discussions to... decide what can actually be done uh, all of them have been emphasizing that uh rhetoric is

enough, talking is enough, we need to take some practical steps, so while we had the iranian president ibrahim raisi uh emphasizing on the fact that the united states has to be held accountable for the atrocities that are being committed with its support by the israeli regime in the occupied territories, vetoing sease fire. the that blatant move by the united states, this is something that uh us officials need to be held accountable for, uh, the fact that the unsc has proven to be a failure. uh to all nations worldwide by not being capable of uh obligaging the israeli regime to stop its atrocities, these are of course very important issues, but on the panel discussions caves something that was brought up is the fact that uh we need some other

alternative media, the reason for that is that mainstream media is now control. controlling the narrative, it's controlling what kind of news is coming out from the occupied territories and how the stories are being told, so basically what we need is for alternative media today not to have to depend on news agencies such as reuters or ap in order to get their first hand stories, so we need to establish our very own news agency, one that is into. independent from mainstream media and which will uh of course promise to uh be the voice of the voiceless, pretty much what press tv is trying to do right now, and of course another issue that was brought up uh, we all remember the floatilla, the mavi marmara and what happened, and uh something that's quite interesting is that today, most

the speakers proposed that there should be another fotella, humanitarian. uh flotilla moving towards gaza, now this, of course, we do know uh that the israeli regime will blatantly oppose to that floatilla, they will probably try to repeat what they did with a mavi marmara, but what it will do, kovi is that it will allow public opinion to focus more on what's happening in gaza, because if the israeli regime uh has the audacity to stop humanitarian floatilla who is... is simply trying to get humanitarian aid to the people of gaza, that simply tells the entire word lot about where exactly they stand, and of course another issue that was brought up during the panel discussions covet was the fact that public opinion today is now shifting towards uh support for the palestinian nation, and that is because
