11:02 pm
the islamic revolution, after its victory, managed to change the political geography and geopolitical structure of the region. the credit for this change goes to the nature of the discourse of the islamic revolution. the ideological framework and the valuable human content presented by leader of the revolution imam khumeini may his noble secret be sent. fied as the speaker and founder were able to create new model and introduce new composition to the region and the world as a whole. with the victory of the islamic revolution, the people of the region realized that they could stand against the west and the east and change the equations. the successive failures of the designist entity and the united states of america and the region indicate that the islamic revolution was the source of inspiration for the peoples of the world and especially in west asia. certainly without exaggeration and in a
11:03 pm
scientific and objective manner, we can say that the period before the victory of the islamic revolution in iran is not the same as the period after it. at the level of the conflict with the zionist enemy, one year before the revolution, egypt had signed the cam david peace agreement with the zionist enemy, and it was said that time that egypt's exit from the conflict meant that the conflict with this enemy had ended, and the agreement with jordan was added to it. many expected that the resistance against this enemy would end after these agreements, but the victory of the islamic revolution in iran brought the region into new equation and into direct conflict with the zionist enemy. since the first days of the islamic revolution, iran has clearly stood against the israeli entity, and as is known, it closed the israeli entity embassy and turned it into an embassy for the state of palestine and stated clearly that this entity is illegitimate and confirmed that it will stand by the legitimate resistance. in palestine, and this
11:04 pm
was new equation. no one could have expected it. this seemed to bring about major changes in the resistance movement and in the development of the resistance movement in palestine and the region of west asia. the pressures of the us and zianist israely attacks and divisive projects targeting islamic communities that we witness today, are a direct result of the existence of this resistance. if it weren't a strong axis of resistance, the united states wouldn't need to. these efforts, carry out attacks and impose sanctions. therefore, today's confrontation is clear and challenging, especially since the access of resistance in west asia has become an essential part of regional and international equations. welcome to the mini stream, i'mman.
11:05 pm
what truly angers the united states of america regarding the islamic republic of iran is the process of building power in the country's regional sovereignty. this power has crystallized under the wise and courageous leadership of the leader of the islamic revolution and the management of the battlefield by the quds force led by the marturn general qasim sulaimani on the frontlines in western asia. today the banner of the new geopolitics in the region is now in the hands of the forces of the islamic revolution. islam. awakening movements and the resistance front led by the leaders of the revolution and the islamic republic of iran. to discuss this issue with us from beirot is dr. ibrahim musawi, professor of media studies and member of the lebanese parliament with the loyalty to the resistance block. it's a pleasure having you with us uh dr. musawi now 45 years into the islamic revolution in iran and during the feasure decade which we are commemorating this uh week. how has west asia really changed since then? well first thank you for the uh
11:06 pm
receiving at your episode, it's my pleasure and honor to be here, other thing we need to talk about geopolitics, about strategic issues, about structural issues that have changed in recent times, but they have been going on for like since the advent of the islamic revolution, the advent of the islamic republic, what i can say simply in one sentence is that it it's it's behind and beyond any imagination. that the word is without the islamic republic of iran, just imagine for one second, close your eyes and imagine that this word is without the islamic republic, what would have been the case, actually the word arrogance represented by the united states, by the western powers that are accomplices of the united states, this imperialism that is spreading all over the world has been struck by the islamic republic, has been faced and confronted by serious. that is accumulating power, that is
11:07 pm
accumulating strength, that is standing up not only by having say weapons and by developing its arsenal, which is very important, but more importantly by finding and introducing new discipline, by introducing new model, by introducing an example model for all of the countries all over the world, what we could say simply here when we talk about the islamic revolution, the islamic republic is that it's not that has it the dashed itself from the west and the from the east and has found for itself new pattern and the new way, la sharqiya, la gharbiah, jamhuriya islamiah, this is not the only thing it has by doing so, it has been able to say to the whole world that it's possible for you to detash yourself from those accesses that do not necessarily boil down to the interest of the people of the region of west asia or over the world, this has been the case and it continues to be, and
11:08 pm
as such we have been able to see many countries all over the world who follow suit the islamic republic who are trying now to accumulate their points of strength in order to stand up and to stand facing america. and its western access? well, this is where it comes where the western audience doesn't really understand lot, because in retrospect the iranian islamic revolution can be seen as a significant factor in shaping and developing and reinforcing the forces of resistance in west asia, challenging both regional and international encounters with the concepts of independence and the concept of resistance, especially against western hegemony in the region and dominance. now the western audience doesn't understand why is doing that despite the fact that it's paying a grave price, very expensive price for it, so uh, how can you explain it for them? not only this, actually, what you have been pointed, what you have alluded to is very important and very true, but i can tell you this is not the only case in the world that the western audience and the public opinion
11:09 pm
does not understand, take for example palestine, now we talk about awakening in the western consciousness, in the western public that you see in the in front of the white house, in front in washington, everywhere. every capital of the west uh they are they are demonstrating against the american support to israel, against the western support to israel, they are demonstrating and support of the resistance in palestine, they want to free palestine, they want to stop the war and the genocide in palestine, so when we talk about this we're talking about another very important issue, what i want to say, there has been a narrative that is dominating the media all over the world, when we talk about america we're not only talking about the military. power we are talking also about another power, it's the psychological warfare, it's the kind of the the hollowed, the hollywood and all of the support that is being done by the channels, the outlets, the the mainstream media that is been dominated with the western narrative, the western
11:10 pm
narrative has to do with the economics, the western narrative has to do with military, the western narrative has to do with philosophy, has to do with religion, and as such they have demon the palestinian resistance and they have produced lot of films to depict them as terrorists, as those who are attacking annuaces of democracy in the region which is israel, so i'm saying that iran has been able to challenge this narrative in effect and has been able to produce a new awareness among the people, and this is what we can see now, we need more and more of this to be done, we need more and more of things to be done, but to tell you the truth, others since the 7th of october... "the flood of aksa by harak by hamas movement, this access has been able to achieve significant breakthroughs in the west that we could have never imagined before, that we could have never achieved, even if we work for years and years and we produce
11:11 pm
thousands of films and interviews and whatever, the steadfastness of the palestinian people, the steadfastness of the access of the resistance, the support by the islamic by the islamic. republic of iran to all of these forces have materialized in this awareness around the world and believe me this is very important and we have to take it into consideration, we cannot cast like just like idol look into it and say yeah it's okay, no, this is part of the battle, this is part of the struggle and we have to do more in this level, this kind of propaganda that has been waged by america to to demonize iran, to demonize the islamic revolution, to demonize... "the islamic resistance movements and the resistance forces all over the region and in the world has has has been engraved in the minds of the western public, but not anymore, now we have, there is kind of progress in the image of these resistance
11:12 pm
forces, there's more awarness, we do have that progressed image in the hearts and minds right now of the audience, but perhaps the real effect of the forces of resistance that were born out of the islamic public of iran's success, revolution and the success of the revolution in iran was fully shown for the first time in the recent alaqsa uh flood battle which you just mentioned and yet it is still a surprise for the forces of the western hjem. why is that? it's because they have never imagined that we could do this. this tells you very important issue, when there is a well, there is a way, the determination, the resolve, this unshakable conviction that we are going to win this battle, this kind of sacrifices, i mean what's happening is miraculous, in every in every term, in every thought in every way, the steadfastness of the palestinian people, children, we hear the children of gaza, don't we hear them, they talk about like veteran leaders, the... talk like people, sage wise people as if they have they have 80 years of
11:13 pm
old of real thought to challenge that they have been able to voice out their wisdom to the people and to the world, so i mean the same happens with yemen, i mean we have two miraculous examples in front of us, the people of yemen and the people of palestine, the people of gaza, how they have been instead fastness, how they are fighting against the enemies and... truly and surely allah will help them and will they will win the triumph will will prevail and i believe the israelis are going to lose this battle as they lost other other battles in the region. well uh ladies and gents, i want to you to stay with us because uh we still have lot to talk about with dr. ibrahim musawi after this short break, because after the break we are going to talk about how the uh islamic revolution led to an all out. resistance outburst in west asia. stay with us.
11:14 pm
the iranian islamic revolution can be considered one of the key drivers that established and supported the axis of resistance in west asia. since its inception in 1979, the islamic revolution in iran has embraced ideological principles that encourage resistance against the west and regional dominance and cizing issues of social justice and independence. more details in the following report. when the iranian
11:15 pm
revolution became success, it radically changed tehran's position in west asia. as soon as the shah was outed, tehran announced a series of strategic steps including cutting ties with the israeli entity and the united states. the islamic republic of iran granted palestinians the former israeli entity embassy building to open their own ambassy. the late yasir arafat, the head of the palestine liberation organization, was the first international figure to visit iran after the revolution, to meet with late imam khumaini and congratulate him on the victory. additionally, iran declared the last friday of ramadan each year as al-quds day, continuing to observe it to this day in remembrance of the al-quds. the palestinian cause received significant attention from ayatullah komeini, the leader of the islamic revolution in iran. during the 1967. war, he considered that the enemy was not only zionist israel, but also the united states of america and the entire western block due to
11:16 pm
their support for the occupying entity. the islamic revolution turned iran into a political system resembling a military and a political hydra. this structure makes any confrontation with the west, a confrontation with a network of regional independent units, small and agile forces. tehran has worked for decades to build a network of regional relationships with the aim of strengthening its influence beyond its borders, to achieve its declared goals of islamic unity and strategic depth. this strategy has allowed iran to expand the revolution goals across west asia, giving it the advantage of forming alliances with groups whose strength surpasses that of the central state controlled by western hegemony such as hizbullah in lebanon. for reasons like this one, the west intervened and worked to marginalize islamic awakenings in the countries of west asia, creating terror. terrorist groups to undermine regional security and instigate crises to hinder the
11:17 pm
progress and growth of the resistance ideology. therefore, extremist groups, especially daesh, artificially manufacture a crisis in the security environment centered around islamic resistance. they have placed the axis on their agenda with support from the west and zionism. however, the cultural and ideological work of the islamic revolution coupled with the use of forces that tied ideological concepts to military action in defense of organizational, regional and ideological domains created manifestations of resistance to defend against regional and international threats. the impact of this can be seen in the formation and strengthening of popular resistance groups across all of west asia, especially following the palestinian alaqsa flood operation. we are back from beirout with dr. ibrahim musawi, professor of media studies and a member of the lebanese parliament with the loyalty of the resistance block, a pleasure always having you with us. professor musawi. now, when examining the
11:18 pm
importance of the victory of the islamic revolution in iran, its outcomes and delving into its impacts. and connections, we find that palestine is present a central ideological issue for this revolution. it has been recorded that iran has harnessed all the its capabilities to serve the palestinian cause, to serve its people, its resistance and its sanctities as well. it seems however that iran is constantly asked to prove that this kind of effort and loyalty is not out of a colonialist mind. what seems to be the problem there? well, first we have to admire and we have to pay all the respect for the islamic republic, islamic revolution in iran, for the support for the palestinians and not only palestinians cause, it's enshrig without the constitution, within the constitution of the islamic republic that it supports the oppressed all over the world, and they have seen iran helping the people of bosnia and
11:19 pm
herzenoviga if you remember, i mean back in the 90s and the 80s cuba and cuba, venezuela, man, iraq, the kurds up there in kurdistan when daesh wanted to wipe them out, so we are talking here about about iran that has established a will and deeply entrenched a moral code that can can boast about it and has every right to talk about it all over the world, this is something that the colonial powers would consider a challenge for them, when we talk about morality and when we talk about code of ethics, we talk about america, america represents itself and presents itself as a model of morality that should be follow soon, they they er an era of democracy and liberty and and and while we see very truly that you cannot voice out your true conviction in the united states of america, they would depict you as supporting terrorism, the freedom movements, the liberty
11:20 pm
movements, the resistance movements, how they are treated and they are designated in the united states, they are designated as terrorist entities, why? because they are being considered a challenge to the american hegemony, even if you ch, if you if you talk in words even if you going to make a lecture, people, doctors, academicians, they have not been allowed to voice out their opinions, their free opinion in what's called the land of freedom and land of land of liberty, why is that because this challenged the american narrative, this is going to make the people aware and conscious about the real and the true policies and politics that the united states embraces, so that's why they they would never understand this kind of movements and they would not only not allow them, they would fight them, and this is what they are doing for the time being. well, the new
11:21 pm
geopolitical banner uh in west asia is currently in the hands of the forces of the uh islamic revolution, islamic awakening movements of the resistance fronts led by leaders, indigenous leaders of the land and supported by leaders of the islamic republic of iran. wouldn't that by itself, as fact lead to questions about the independence of these resistance forces that are affiliated to the access of resistance? absolutely not, we're talking here about the same cause, we're talking about the same, the same land, we're talking about arab lands, we're talking about islamic lands, we're talking about people who have... the right to voice out their believes and what they want. why america has the right to come from 1000 miles, thousands of miles to the region or to any place in the world in order to dictate its policies upon the countries and the governments and the states. if you they are talking about democracy, we have seen in bahrain what kind of democracy they have there, we have seen this in everywhere. i
11:22 pm
mean, now talk, talk to the lay people in the arab streets, go and make a polster. go and make any kind of opinion test and you will see that the majority of the arab people, they support the resistance, they support uh hamas, they support all of those resistance forces that are trying to liberate their countries, they are against israel, of course, israel to them is a state of apartide, is a state of hate, is not a legal state, but when you go to their governments, when you go to the leaders, when you go to the rulers, you will see that they have different... policies: why is that? if it's democracy, then the democracy should reflect the opinions of the indigenous people, the people, the domestic opinion of the people of every single country, isn't it? unless it is against the... us hegemony, absolutely, so so what we what i'm saying simply is that this is kind of disguised dictatorship, the people are in one place and the rulers are in
11:23 pm
another place, the rulers that have been imposed by the american higemany, so this is against the will and the determination of the people, and this is not gna last long, people little by little, and i tell you this, this is my deep conviction that people are going to revolt sooner or later, they are only the the rulers. and the leaders of the countries that are supporting israel or not confronting israel or not allowing their people to fight israel, those will be shocked one day, they'll open eye their eyes and see that the time that they bought for postponing the challenges is going to fall down into them. well, dr. musawi, this is only the beginning of a unified coherent force of anti-hegemonic alliance, this is what all the factions of... the access of resistance say, including the islamic republic of iran. what should the western regimes understand from a statement like this one? well, to tell you the truth,
11:24 pm
they are not going to understand, till the last minute, till the last moment, they are going to continue what they have belt policies, their imperialist hegemonical powers that they want to continue to dictate their well determination over the people of the region and to look after their own interests, not only not the interests of the people. so that's why i would say simply they'll fail and we are going to prevail, they will not understand it because they have structurally being built to be as dictatorships, i mean when they talk all of these propaganda about being democracies is not going to be bought by the people anymore, we have seen what happened in south africa when they had this file this suit against israel in the icg, we will see other countries and other states and other... government's followsuit and israel cannot continue and the west cannot continue to dictate its policies. i believe that we are going soon to witness new era and new epoch
11:25 pm
of liberty and freedom where the resistance movements where all the people would be able to act freely and voice out their true opinions without the fear of the authorities or the intelligence or the or the threat of. the american entity against them, i believe this is something that's going to happen in a very dramatic and very fast way and they'll not have time to rethink the things again. well, dr. ibrahim musawi, professor of media studies and member of the lebanese parliament with the loyalty of the resistance block, thanks million for your time, i know how packed your time was, so i thank you for giving us some of your time as a contribution to our show, ladies and gents, it's a pleasure, thank you, thank you very much ladies and gents for being. with us, for staying with us, for always being loyal to our show uh as well and to press tv, please do follow us on telegram and on twitter x, we'll see you again next week for more updates right here from west asia on press
