3:30 pm
on corporations locks f was, had imposed sanctions on the army, off the military, and of the latest move this week. my julia decided to leave samsung on sir timothy . you'll be a r t a bu materia, leo. we spoke with a long list from nisha. he says that now they should look beyond america for nations to cooperate with the 3 americans are interested in their military base with more than a 1000 soldiers who do not make any decisive contribution to the fight against terrorism. i do not think they have any reason to be here any more. i think they shall draw their own conclusions. we're at war. why did we abandon the french because they were useless to us? the only complicated the situation, our prime minister said that we need american sponsors or investors not american soldiers. if they cannot help us eradicate terrorism, then they should leave. they have to take responsibility for themselves. our country is now part of this a how alliance of states this alliance. there's 2 fundamental principles. i think
3:31 pm
the best choice for you here in all the countries that make up this a hell a lives is russian. in addition to key in iran can be considered. we welcome any country that pursues and on this policy is able to assist us ensuring the security of our country without a rap for now, my name's peter scott, and i'll be back again at the top of the hour with all the latest news views and then obviously, you know, not to the everybody, i'm rick sanchez and you can see us right here every single day. now, i'm here to tell you something else that after being a journalist and a news presenter and for the biggest television networks in the united states. i
3:32 pm
kind of know what they do and it isn't right. i believe it's time for news to be contextual and for truth telling it in that vein. here's, here's what we're going to be talking about today. truth, bob, number one, what happens after we band tick tock? what's next? and who gets to the side? a coupon number to the lawn mos gets interrogated by don. love a gas interrogated and i'm gonna show it to you. but the most frightening story out there today has to do with boeing. it has apparently put prophets before people and their safety. so says a whistle blower who's now dead. and he left a note. the i wanna start by asking you a question really what's with this mad dash, all of
3:33 pm
a sudden to cancel tick tock. why is the social media platform suddenly the new boogeyman and the country? okay, here's the official reason. i guess that they're giving us, it all comes down to china. you say lawmakers another government a patrick's in places like the united states in great britain. say that they're concerned, but take talk at its parent company by dance, maybe using tech talk to take our sensitive user data like location and information and then use that against us. here's the problem with that. by the way, that's something that as we have reported is already taking place. and you know who's doing that are we are medias social media sites here in united states. so you know what much of the polite are and the conversation sounds like to me when i hear some of these old guys complaining about duck to which usually they can't even pronounce. it kind of sounds like the utterings of dinosaurs. i mean, you take
3:34 pm
a look at the people who are wanting to take it down to the dock, and by the way, i'm a fan of tick tock, but for what it's worth it. these people are complaining about, picked tucker, the same crowd that sold us the iraq war. that lied to us about how zalinski was winning the war. a new crane, the same guys who take money from defense contractors left and right. and by the way, most of these people, i mean, they think that macbook pro is some irish do that they met at a bar somewhere. they're close when it comes to tech, to congress, and talk to one of these guys. they know nothing about tech, nothing about social media. some of them still don't even have not even learned how to use e mail yet. i'm serious. there was one really smart comment though this one i want to share this one with you because i think he may be honest. something here is a guy in ohio, he's a republican congressman. a and he says essentially, be careful what you wish for because it may start with tick tock. oh yeah, we got to get rid of tech talk, but it doesn't end with tick tock. they've described the tick tock application as
3:35 pm
a trojan horse, but there are some of us who feel that either intentionally or unintentionally this legislation to band tick tock is actually a trojan horse. some of us are concerned that their 1st amendment implications here . americans have the right to view information. we don't need to be protected by the government from information. some of us just don't want the president picking which apps we can put on our phones, or which web sites that we can visit. we don't think that's appropriate. we also think it's dangerous to give the president that kind of power to give him the power to decide what americans can see on their phones and their computers to give him that sort of discretion. we also think is dangerous. i gotta tell you, he makes some really important points. it's an important conversation. one that we really should have in this country, while on the topic of social media. did you catch what former cnn anchor dom lemon
3:36 pm
set on cnn? did you catch that former cnn anchor said on cnn. yeah, about the lawn. ma secured is, and apparently that doesn't matter to eli mazda is just for maybe talking points for him or the rhetoric, because it doesn't seem to matter when it's about him. questions about him from people like me? yeah, he says apparently free speech doesn't really matter to him. that's what he's talking about. and then it goes on to say right here when, when it comes from people like me, you see what he's doing there. do you see what he's doing there? hm. that might sound like somebody who's a, who went into the interview to, to learn and share ideas or the detect that it's somebody who's kind of angry. he like, he went into the whole thing, kind of angry about something that's kind of what i'm getting from this after watching some of this interview. i'm gonna share more with you. so here's what don,
3:37 pm
who i know very well by the way because he and i and lester have were all hired together at one point by a and b. c. here's what i think he doesn't understand. there is a difference between an interview and an interrogation. kidnappers murders, child molesters, those guys you interrogate them. a business person who shares opinions with, with, with you. what you may disagree with. oh, and by the way, how kind of happens to be your boss? that guy, you don't mean to interrogate them. you're going to have a difference of opinion. you can tell them i, i don't agree with you and that's fine. but listen to the toner, this interview. are you talking about your kind of menu, some interest and hit view. you also have said and for that reason i should, i should say likely that like the reason i mentioned the academy prescription just gonna stop for a moment. i'm gonna get you back there. i'm not cutting it,
3:38 pm
but what's the kind of mean? kind of mean, why is you talking about can i mean, because it, it seems to me what he's doing is he's trying to conduct the confrontational interview or better side, hit piece. that's why he thinks he has a kind of now put him on the defensive because to, to, to don love and he's like the enemy because he has some different conservative viewpoint. for example. i mean, he could have been speaking here about gaza or immigration, or ukraine or the budget or privacy issues, all of which need to be addressed. but what is he talking about with the law mosque? can i mean, by the way, i don't even know what the hell that is. so at this point mosque, who is listening to the questions he's being asked, so he's gonna walk a red flag, red flag to walk away. right? probably, i don't know what he's thinking, i'm not a mind reader, but here let's go ahead. i want you to listen to the rest of us. let's pick this up again, tyler. from where we left it off. you talked about your kind of menu,
3:39 pm
some kind of person hit view. you also have said and for the reason i should say like like the reason i mentioned the generation prescription on the x platform. because i thought maybe this is something that can help other people. that's why i mentioned it as another doctor, but i would say if someone has depression issues that you consider going to the doctor about chatham instead of s as all right. a very civil conversation, but that is where it got very personal. well, got personal, but i didn't put that out there. he has spoken very freely about his use of those are prescription drugs, but about his use academy, i would not have brought it up if you want accuracy posted. he posted. if you see what he's doing there, see what he's doing. he says he didn't bring it up, he did it in the past. he talked about it at some point. so that makes it fair game . so now we can talk about it really. i mean, sure you can go back in the lexus nexus to do
3:40 pm
a search on somebody and talk about anything that they've talked about in the past . but the is that what you want to waste your time on an interview with? so after the interview, musk essentially fired tom lehman from twitter and made this comment on next. let me read it to you. here's what he's basically saying on actually saying his approach was basically just cnn. but on social media, which doesn't work, that doesn't work is what he's saying. as evidenced by the fact that c and them is dying because of the words, and then true to form, by the way, what is dom and do? throws them right. so what is done, women go after he gets after he attacks mosque and after mosque fires him cause it appears on for you then. and there is come from comfortably nestled on the side with a cnn interview, who shares his exact views of the world, which is fine. you know, views like we're all government agencies are all wonderful. except when
3:41 pm
a republican is in charge, like trump, then they're not so wonderful. our wars are all necessary. they ignore the state department's actions and countries all over the world. but any story having to do with discrimination that goes right to the top. oh. and they won't ever tell you about the political corruption that exist, bailey, but they will report on political corruption when some prosecutor brings them a press release and says, report on this. so essentially they think that their view of the world is the only one that matters. i got it. everyone's allowed to have views. but i know how that works. you know, i know how that works because that used to be me. i used to be the guy on cnn. i used to be the guy on nbc. i used to be the guy in all those networks. i used to be done 11, but i kind of figured them out and they fired me. and i never looked back. ask for don, for guy, he's kind of screwed up again. and here's why. say that, okay, not trying to be fair. i'm sure he's a good guy to this day. why do you have
3:42 pm
a wonderful opportunity and a new platform to grow himself that he was given the girl himself and to grow his message, really? which we shall do. he does just the opposite. he seems stuck in and appears desperate for nothing more than the acceptance of the people who fired him. the 15 work is almost randomly. 10 said they would not fly on the dreamliner the . those are workers per se, their pilots. pilots being asked the question, i mean, did you hear what they said? do you hear that?
3:43 pm
well, that one guy just said there would be on. that's a truth, bob. scary at that. i mean that that's a comment. overheard from a pilot. this is back in 2014, by the way, which is even more timely today what they're saying about not wanting to fly a boeing plane. and he's essentially saying that he's afraid to fly the bowling jack because of its shoddy maintenance and its safety reputation. and that's troubling. think about it, especially considering what is happening with boeing since this incident that i'm going to show you now where door flew off a plane in mid flight the 2 and i could see the city lights a while since then there have been a bevy of reports filed about how the issues with plains are not the fault of airlines, but rather the fault of the airline manufacturer. boeing eventually came clean and
3:44 pm
it cost to the problem and admitted it was their fault. but since then, the controversy has gotten even worse with suggestions that this defense contractor has a culture problem that can't be fixed overnight. here's the unkind is kind of all a shakespeare would say this isn't whistleblower he comes in and, and he just levels, accusations expose is essentially the boeing management i was in charge was pushing by dfcs to our suppliers and what the amount was i'd take a group of inspectors and actually go to the supplier and inspector product before they sent it in. well, i'd say can attain before inspectors. spirit arrows systems to inspect the $41.00 section before they send extra all. and we found $300.00 defects. some of them were significant needed engineering intervention. when i return to charleston,
3:45 pm
my senior managers only weird found so many defects. and he was going to take the next trips southern extra or you went on to a mine inspectors. and when they got back, they were given national age, the only plan and 50 dfcs. so old that has factor science and despair really clean up director squared. i don't sound right. and she was mad. she said no. so the 2 inspectors were given 2 hours to inspect the whole $41.00 section and they were kicked out there on yeah, it's, john barnett is a former boeing inspector who after making those comments very critical, was found dead. i'm going to parents suicide, and south carolina barnett had worked at boeing for 32 years before leaving the company in 2017. if it was a bar, by the way, 2017. that's when he began raising concerns about the company's safety issues. but he said that the 63 year old just shot himself in the had left a note, the contents of which have by the way, not been revealed. boeing safety issue has become so wide spread that it's effect
3:46 pm
on the industry is so impactful. kayak, have you heard of kayak? it's a travel company. usually they do a lot of commercials on tv. well, they're now putting out a new feature for passengers. it's on the website and, and it less passengers know if they're about to fly on a boeing airliner or not. i think people should know it. you're going to be on a boeing airliner. you might want to say, no, i don't. i'm not going to take this line, i'll wait till there's one that's not a boeing. here's kayak of seo, steve hyphen or a call. yeah. makes it easy for consent travelers to avoid a 737 max flights. we've increased the prominence of the max fuel to on site airlines, the open substitute equipment, so travelers should double check before departure. yeah, that's obviously somebody reading with steve hafner said but, but there it is. i mean, they're basically putting on their website. i guess we could say it's a bit of
3:47 pm
a warning for passengers who feel like they may need it. do they need it when we come back showed we've been concerned about flying out a boeing jack. and how, how did boeing get to this place? how did they get this sudden terrible reputation? okay. i don't know the answers to these questions, but i know somebody who is going to give it a try and he is very qualified. he's our next guest captain. dennis pedro. the is a pilot communications committee chairman for allied pilots, and we're going to be right back with him in just a moment. the the,
3:48 pm
the spending their juvenile like the rivers, the incredible proportions. only 3000 my turn. now to the latest on russia's presidential election with, well, well, well, at least turn it up the
3:49 pm
the public sanchez welcome back. i want to try and share with you as much information as we can gather from the situation. having to do with buying a guest is captain dennis teacher. let me tell you little bit about him. he's a pilot, he's a communications committee chairman for allied pilots, and i think he to has some concerns. so maybe we start the conversation this way captain showed americans. heck, should anybody be concerned about flying on a boeing jack as well? it checked your human being. you've seen all the news on i'm a 737 captain man and innovation for over 3 decades. and served in the military prior on boeing your plans as low as $737.00 max. uh so yeah, it should be concerned. um you should be more concerned if these issues are
3:50 pm
happening and no one is saying anything about it. um boeing has been affirmed as failing and repairing their culture after 2 crashes where they put something on the airplane that they didn't inform, pallets about. it was poorly designed to end up killing $346.00 people. now we, we tried to cope 5 years down the road and we are looking at aircraft that are coming off the assembly line with dorm blowing off the alaska flight. you know, when that happened and the doorbell off the airplane, the doors blew up. boeing once again, so as a captain, honest airplane, and demanding senior leadership at boeing to get their act together. you know, and boeing when shareholders put their money in your hands, you need to treat it. the way i treat it when passengers who board my airplane put their lives into my hands, run your business like that. we get into the details,
3:51 pm
but i, i just want to get that out there. where is outraged as a public, but has kept them at a 737 max and the n g the previous model. i fly it just fluid last week. a flight coming up here in the next few days. i don't get on airplane unless i believe it's safe. but here's the difference right now, every time i get on the match, particular my alert status is that an all time high and i served in combat. so i'm waiting for the next 2 to drop with my airplane. i know i'm trained to handle it, but it's not the comfort i need when i'm trying to protect a 172 people are myer plan doing. you'll see a pattern. there is the suggestion that starting from the 20142015 going through 2019. there was a problem with the nose dive issue which they could have easily dealt with. but they kind of were dishonest about the way that they dealt with it. they tried to blame it on pilots like you, when in fact it was their fault. and now we're seeing issues where apparently in
3:52 pm
these a warehouse the place where they fix the plane, maintain the plane, those those hangers. they're not actually doing the due diligence that they're supposed to do before that plane leaves that hanger. so that seems to be the story that i, as a journalist, i'm reading about, is it correct? do you feel it is correct as well? your debt on and you join the world, including the federal government who has gone in. and just coincidentally, there was a deep study done on boeing. what have you learned and what are you doing differently since those 2 fatal crashes. and the conclusion that just came out right in the middle of this alaska door blowing out is that they're doing something different, but not enough. uh, someone stated, i thought it was done on the boeing is changing just enough to remain the same. and in new york times just reported that in an f, a audit just done at the assembly uh factory that the,
3:53 pm
there were some 33 non compliant issues out of some 80. i mean, if you're your bet and you know 30 percent failure in assembly or conformity with the procedures, we've got a real problem here and there are great work. as you mentioned, the whistleblower who tragically, we lost. yeah. in our thoughts and, and, and prayers go out to the family. it was there was a, someone who had courage enough and there are several out there. and there's more and more every day to say, hey, this is what i saw. i told them, and i was not only, there was not only retribution, isolation, but actual contempt for someone calling out a safety issue. and i tell you as a, as a captain on his airplane and, and i told you over 30 years of flying. yeah, the last thing i need on my in my cottage is yasmin. i need someone to call out, hey, i don't know if we're doing this right. it's
3:54 pm
a safety culture. think we keep the airplane flying safe for. yeah, thank you for saying that, and that's by the listen, i'm a business person. i believe that's the way any business should run. that's the way we try and do this newscast as we're preparing and are there mistakes? what did i, what did i screw up? what did i forget? what did i get wrong? what can i fix? what did i overstate? what did i understate? you do that and whether it's with a plane or aaron, a, a newscast, or anything else. i can't understand why you would cut corners on something like that. by the way you were you, you mentioned the alaska airlines situation from what i've been reading it looks like they were really lucky in that situation. that a, that one kid didn't get thrown out the window because apparently the, the, the, the pressure loss or whatever you guys are experts can probably describe better than me with his shirt off. and his mother was holding on to him to keep him from flying out of the hole that was left by the door being flown out. um. and they say
3:55 pm
that plain, easily from that situation could have been brought down. wow. can you take us through that whole thing? a natural, literally and you called is it luck? some of called it a miracle. you know? is it, it was a miracle. but i forget the issue is described as a miracle. and now here's, here's another one. i mean, we've got to stop dependent counting on luck and miracles, fucking miracles. don't keep your plane flying safely. and uh, you nailed it on the other on, at alaska flight. so if that had happened at a higher altitude or the door when it ripped off, it hit the tail. you don't have to be a pilots understand if it rip back to tail, that aircraft is probably going down. it can happen at a higher altitude. every square inch to pressure is exiting the airplane. when it exploded, that airplane exploded. it came out of one area. and let's talk about what those pilots went through and the, the, her rock efforts, the training that was executed to not just one, but 2 trained and experienced pilots doing what they were trained to do and,
3:56 pm
and executing that, that airplane took off. and as it climbed through nearly 16000 feet, it exploded. the door came off. the pilots didn't know what was going on. headsets are ripped off. the pilot shirts are ripped off passengers. they have alerts going off the cabin pressure alert. at that moment we have memorized procedures. i know i'm going to training annual recurrent training next week. i will practice this again because when the proverbial stuff hits the fan, you've got to be it's, it's, they say you fight as you train. we train this way. so these pads took this airplane within one minute of the airplane, exploding and losing all the pressure. by the way, the pressure is gone. that means that it's not sustainable air for people to breathe. the mass drop down, that's 12 minutes of oxygen and those mass, the pilots are putting on their mouse. you play the eclipse, and i can tell that the captain is speaking to the mass because of the just the
3:57 pm
toner, bottom line. one within one minute. they've got that airplane point did to death played back into survivable air. and within 4 minutes of the explosion, they're back down to 10000 feet lower. we're passengers can take off the mask. and then within 14 minutes, i believe it was that airplane was on the ground. this is what we train for, but there's no way boeing should be placing these unfortunate areas into my talk to thank you captain for taking us through that and uh for being so uh, so honest about a situation that we all should be looking into and hopefully get it remedied sometime soon, captain dennis tiger. thank you, sir for your time. before i go, i want to remind you of our mission here. that simple really, i want to silo the world. we've got to stop living in these little boxes. truths don't live in boxes, they're everywhere. i'm rick sanchez and i'll be looking for you again right here where i hope to provide
3:58 pm
a direct impact the the money to do that to attempt to collect as extra
3:59 pm
a month. i thought she sat there for the show and then it will be a job to loss mitigation of a of a dish. uh, international stuff is the template to supplement the setup button and not the printer doesn't want to lose it. ask you like that. if i said the media, i love people, there's only 2 reasons. could you say, would you say that you need to be shut bus and they're gonna be present the day before the work you're done? stimulus the industry is it will less money will process the left. so should william farmer shots, monuments who we have got a guy started over what decision did my name and what was that man was, what was that ridiculous funds i put in the midst of them one today and but you know, so that's what it was that you want to set, i mean, shows tools or suspect, pretty shock journals on patient data for she's getting those are best do what i mean. there's a, there's
4:00 pm
a problem pressure. the site is always breaking news present, fits in vows to retaliate, a ukrainian forces, a type polling stations and they've got a southern region came up. they'll drop leave fucked. the people wounded also ahead the heart of michael, push it live and ask you do right here are the red square. we're bringing you updates from how russians up casting those in this historic presidential election. but even if it's in is the 1st of all candidates to have custody of the balance due to a remote link from his office. and you know, the story is this all these really p and benjamin netanyahu.
