7:30 am
for donald ducks, that $11.00 searches for the name of the front running presidential candidate. and what comes up is only news items connecting him with his opponent in the presidential race. pamela harris. google, of course, has denied that they are engaging in partisan political activity and trying to favor one candidate and blot out what happens to donald trump. they say they're doing nothing of the kind work, you know, improvements to ensure a system sort of more up to date. of course, always complete is just a tool to help people save time. and they can still search for anything they want to following this terrible act, people tend to google to find high quality information. we connected them prove helpful results and will continue to do so as much as google uh, facebook owned by the large social media tech giant meta has been removing the iconic image of the former us president donald trump,
7:31 am
after the assassination attempt with his bloody ear. his fist in the air, they have removed that image saying it could be manipulated, it could be false or something. not exactly stating why this is facebook's response to criticism about how they tried to remove what is become a very iconic, an hour full moment in american history. yes, this was an error. this fact check was initially applied to dr. photo showing the secret service agents smiling and in some cases are systems incorrectly applied that fact tech to the real photo. this has been fixed and we apologize for the mistake. anger is rising, these tech corporations seem to be playing a blatantly part, has enrolled suppressing information and trying to boost one candidate well, hurting the image of another. wow, google has a search band on president donald trump election interference. why is google suppressing the search about the trump assassination attend?
7:32 am
which has there been a dramatic increase in truman biographers in the last 2 weeks? now, google's response is that no personal or manual action was taken, and this is merely the result of the fact that search engine automation is done to prevent bringing up information about political violence. this is an age where many feel that the attack monopolies are slanting things against the conservative, strongly feel that social media is being rig in order to suppress their views with profiles being shadow bands, not turning up in searches, certain accounts being removed. now for a long time, anything associated with russia has been a target of the tech monopolies, not just news channels and outlets and putting out content about world events, but even travel blogs and cultural communications. anything related to russia has been suppressed. and this whole situation in light of an upcoming us presidential
7:33 am
election is forcing many to realize just how powerful these gigantic, monopolistic corporations, based in the united states, really are. and to raise the alarm about what that power when it comes to crafting global information could really mean. well, that's all we've got 20 this hour, but the stay with us. hey, on on the international uh, next week of rick sanchez, he's going to be here and, and just be with direct impact. and he's going to be looking at the full live from those selections in pennsylvania. the . hi everybody, i'm at sanchez. this is direct impact on this is part of what we're going to be talking about today. so you won't have to vote at him on my beautiful questions. i love you christians, i'm not interested. i love you. you know,
7:34 am
we said several times on the show that trump advanced me to just get out of their own way, but with comments like that. the question is now being raised, can they also there's another story that's developing just right now as we're getting ready to go on the air. this one has to do with what is looking like an attack on a suburb of a route. and it does appear at this point like the as railways are indeed claiming the responsibility for this attack, we're gearing up to bring you the latest on this story as we are going to be joined by guests in actually in 11 on and by route itself. so we're gonna have all of this for you, it's coming together. this is director pack. i'm rick sanchez. let's do on the right. as we actually the information out of the reports coming out of 11 on i want to start with the, the domestic politics here. i promise you,
7:35 am
we're going to be taking 11 on a just a moment. so stand by me. my. meanwhile, we, we begin with what may be a case of serendipity because when we did our show here yesterday, and i think you'll recall, we detailed the double standard in the way that russia and israel are treated by washington. we never thought, i never thought that on the very day that we did this report, a decades old interview with paul newman, of all people. the famous actor from hollywood would suddenly go viral. here it is in 1978 or 79. the israeli shot down olivia and civilian aircraft because it violated is, is really aerospace. president nixon send a wire to conduct fee and this a doc is apologizing for this incident. there was no talk about of going into the united nations. it was the international pilots associations had their meeting. there was a 102 nations that voted to condemn israel and the it and for that voted not to
7:36 am
and the american representative epstein, why? because there was we couldn't create an enemy there. but when the soviets shoot down an airliner, the same situation, we rise in roll outrage against this act. what is the difference? because it's, it's in the system. we must insist that the soviets have got to be created as an enemy. otherwise, if they're not really a big enough enemy, how we're going to get appropriations from. why isn't that amazing? it's like somebody was watching our show yesterday and decided to release that. that video. it caught me by surprise, but now it's being seen by millions of people and you know, sure words could hardly have been spoken. it's speaking of letting is we'll interfere and us foreign and domestic policy whenever it pleases. check out what the state department official said yesterday when he was asked why the as rarely prime minister is allowed to come to the united states and insult americans who do nothing more than express
7:37 am
a different point of view than him. the prime minister has the look he was invited by congress is the right to come in and speak his mind and say what he thinks it can say. whatever the alley wants. he is, after all, the president of the unit. i mean, i'm sorry, the prime minister of israel now on to the presidential race. don't know if you've noticed, but the coverage so far has been ridiculously trivial here in america instead of challenging the candidates with serious conversations about international affairs and geo politics and science and technology or human welfare. the emphasis so far has been on like a soap opera ish. he said she said kind of stuff, right. i'll give you some examples. the media on the left, cnn nbc, abc expect days talking about why jamie vance may be a racist because the drinks mountain do seriously. and then on the right, they spend an equal amount of coverage. debating whether come a lot. harris is too low because she uses paper straws come on folks. i mean,
7:38 am
here we are that in a situation where perhaps because of our actions are state departments, actions were on the brink of world war 3 and about 3 different places in the world . the south china sea, the middle east, and of course russia. and what is our media talking about? what am i talking about straws and mountain dues, the drink. and when it comes to objectivity, i want to show you something. what says dear liter moment over at cnn? add them as nbc 1st band joan, cnn ticket. victor, if you're a young person watching this business leadership, a business patriotism. this is what it means to put the country 1st and put the party 1st and put the costs 1st. when your arm gets tired to let somebody else finish pushing the game. that's what joe biden has done, and he's done that for all of us. and so i just want to say, i don't know who's going to be the be the non d p. i don't know anything about politics. i just know that i love this man. i care about this man. it was painful every day to sit up here and talk about him like
7:39 am
he's just said, you know, some, some problem for the party. wait till we get to the convention, you're going to see people crying, standing screaming, cheering. he may not get a chance to talk for 10 minutes. we finally get a chance to put an arm around this guy. this is a guy crying over joe biden. that's the same guy by the way, who calls trump supporters. i called trump supporters, a called he's crying on the air describing his adhere instinct to apply them. but at least they can say he's an analyst and he doesn't have to be objective. at least they don't pay him to be objective. you know, obviously isn't heres rachel matter who fancies himself as an objective journalist with her version of the same thing all over on nbc. what, what a man, what a patriot, what an act of self less devotion to your country. and he, he has been a phenomenal president, he brought us back from cove it. and so he, you know, it gave us the best recovery from cobit, of any major nation on earth,
7:40 am
out of time when the world is economically been struggling in the wake of cove. it, the fighting economy is literally the n v of the world. he ended the presidency of, of donald trump at one disastrous term and he did, it won't being decent. what to just ask you. i mean what, what the hell happened, the objectivity or credibility. i mean, she's going on and on what a man a phenomenal person, what a great president, i'm sure. the 700000 debt a rock you somewhere up in heaven or wondering what the hell she's talking about. or maybe the 180000 palestinians who died because in large measure him or maybe the ukrainians as lives are now in peril in large measure. because he, he's done everything possible to push this war through and through. oh my god. and now let's talk about the other side because my bought my job here is to analyze both sides of this situation. so i tried to do the best thing the best that i can,
7:41 am
the trump campaign these days seems to be making some serious mistakes as well. when it comes to messaging. this campaign, if you look at the polls is really various dilutes right? they've been up by 7 points in the last couple of weeks. and here's what i see. harris is being managed very carefully. her handlers are now prepping every word that comes out of her mouth. every move that she makes is choreographed with the music and the steps and everything else. and to be fair, she, she's playing that part pretty well so far. i'm even kind of surprised top, on the other hand, is not disciplined. i know that's part of his stick. i get it then. you know, that's why some people like it. but what he's showing up at rallies and he's just letting it rip and well that works for his base. the people who loved him love that he needs now to start going beyond the base to the general, as they call it. you know, the general audience,
7:42 am
especially for moderate voters. he needs to lock those folks in. if he wants to win, i mean, not my place. to give advice to anybody, but i'm just looking at this and saying what, what he needs to do is explain how he will make america great. again, it's not about attacking women. being overly negative. we're saying really crazy things like he did last night. listen to this. christians get out and vote just this time. you won't have to do it anymore. 4 more years. you know what? it will be fixed, it will be fun. you won't have to vote at him on my beautiful cushions. i love you, christians, i'm not interested. i love you get out. you gotta get out and vote in 4 years. you don't have to vote again. we'll have it fixed. so good. you're not going to have though. i think i know what he's saying. i think i think i want to be fair to him. i think what he's trying to say is you won't have the urgent need to vote because america will be a better place. and i think that's what he's trying to say. i also think he was
7:43 am
trying to say that he is a christian when he actually sounds like he said, i'm not a christian. the rest of it about calling them his christians. it was a strange moment. i don't think it helps them. manila, let me bring you in your thoughts. well, i'm glad rick that you had a trunk translator app. perhaps i need to download that because i couldn't process the message that he was sending there. and i think that is exactly the problem right now that we're witnessing for the trump campaign. as you said, you not only had momentum going in to the new year of 2024, but then surviving this assassination attempt. picking judy vance, v. he had the wind beneath his wings, the windows in his sails. it is his game to lose. and suddenly this messaging is completely convoluted in the 11th hour in the final stretch of this race. i mean, we're now about 3 months out from the election. and he really seems to have lost the messaging that he had a year prior. and as you mentioned,
7:44 am
going completely negative, having j. d vance, attacking women and so forth. that's gonna turn off a lot of voters somewhere in the middle. i'm not sure who is managing the messaging at this point, but it really needs get whittle down and tightened up in this final stretch. right? yeah, it's early enough and who knows where this is going to go. but i think at this point it's, it really calls for a certain degree of discipline and adherence to messaging. and the message can't be everything all the time. it needs to be one or 2 things, not just everything that comes out of your mind at any given point. and i think to your point, that's what they're not doing at this point. and i, i agree with you on the women thing. look, it's hard and creepy for me as a man to try and put myself in women's shoes. but when i talk to my wife and my daughter and others, what i hear from them is they're not comfortable with some of the language that they've been hearing recently. from republicans, right. and by the way, rick, women's shoes are not really that comfortable. they're kind of tighten base. we can
7:45 am
squeeze you off. but absolutely, i think they, they need to bring a female server, gets out at this point and i'm not sure who that might be. and perhaps you and i have discussed this maybe osha vance is the one to put out on the campaign trail to kind of clean up her husband's image after such a nasty remarks he made about the so called crazy cat lady's. yeah. she's, she's impressive. yeah. going after people simply because they don't have children or maybe you have to have children. that's not a nice thing to do because you're absolutely right. but a lot, i'm going to let you go early because apparently we've got some breaking news coming at 11 on. yeah, thanks their partner, we appreciated. so let me, let me fill you in on what we're hearing right now. as i'm reading over here. as i look over, i see that israel has now apparently accepted responsibility, claim responsibility for an attack on a suburb of bay route. this is obviously extremely significant. ever since we're covering the nothing yahoo visit to the united states. we've been mentioning that he will likely use the speech in front of congress and the support that he seems to
7:46 am
be getting from the american politicians to then escalate the war. and we've seen things in yemen. now we're seeing this particular story as expected. happening right now, i think we've got some video that's going to be coming in from 11 on we've got dr and a bill corey, who's going to be joining us. uh we've got uh, former been a kind of kind of unofficial michael maloof who's very familiar with the 11 on both of those are going to be joining us in just a minute. stay right there. we're going to be right back. i own the . all right, let me, uh, set the scene for you. the reports that uh are now being confirmed by both the wire services were also looking here at the new york times, confirming that the israel has indeed struck
7:47 am
a suburb. been loving on the claim by as real as it's in the vicinity of has ball as sure a council, the groups apparently central decision making authority on that report. also not being confirmed by 11 on state run not news agencies, crowds of protesters of port onto the street. i think we've got some video. we can share at least some of the preliminary videos that are coming in right now. and we'll see the scene of the actual attack. there it is. uh, that is from one of the suburbs not far from or actually where the attack got to place. joining me now is dr to bill corey. dr. cory is joining us from a root. he's a senior fellow at the air center in washington. also joining us is a former product on official uh, michael maloof was a senior policy analyst at the kind of gone. michael, by the way,
7:48 am
has ties to bay route as well, and is very familiar with that area. a doctor in a bell since you are there in 11 on please set the scene for us to tell us what the situation is. what the latest is that you have heard on this ongoing back and forth on this attack by israel. it was the sykes took place roughly an hour or a little over an hour ago. uh theres scales and the seats, obviously wherever they hit the place. so the information as soon as coming in on casualties. but uh, what we know is that the seeking a, uh, one of the leaders of, as well uh, in the southern suburb of theater route. they hit an apartment building and collapse the building all 4 or 5 uh, stories high. hm. so you can bet that there will be, uh, a lot of civilian casualties. right now. the ambulance is uh, are,
7:49 am
are working and people are working to sift through their album. hes will, uh, however already confirm that the person that did it today is uh salt was not in the building. so this is not get the man that they were after. well, it's amazing, it's amazing to think god, the corey that uh, once again, we're in a situation like we've seen so many times in gaza where civilians end up being targeted or die. and then we here the other side of this case is we'll say, well, it's because we heard that there was a terrorist and i'm tunnel somewhere. in the case of guys, of course it would be referring to how mos, in this case it would be referring to his ball and then we find out there was no harm. also there was no, his ball of that's troubling, isn't it? as well. uh, i mean uh that is uh that story is and guys of course,
7:50 am
of course where they uh much of the gaza strip and some of them and its been fighting them. but you have over 40000 civilian casualties so far. uh is it really doesn't seem to learn from history or doesn't want to learn that the so what they are referred to by the security operations don't. uh, and any wars for them they continue to be at or in the region. and each year they lose more and more because now they are finding a militias not sending armies outside of say well, why do you use it? well, let, let, let me stop you right there. and i'm going to talk to bring my move into this conversation as well. what do you think of the argument that we've heard even from some american politicians, that what you just said is true, they keep doing this and it's not going to end the war. maybe it's because as many
7:51 am
say benjamin netanyahu personally doesn't want this war to end the means, the war to continue. in fact, he wants to escalate the war. and that's what this process or this attack that we're, that you're describing to us right now is really all about michael. i'll let you in on this. and then i want to hear with dr. corey has to say about that as well. for sure. well, thanks for having. uh, yeah, i consider what uh now to get by coming to congress, he basically laid out the game plan and, and the convers cheered uh the name of the game plan. ultimately is that going to go get it wrong, but love it almost not mentioning that speech. however we're hearing from the law and there's other crazy ministers, ben chavira and has a small church that, that they want to go into 11 on. they want to go up to electronic river up to, uh, i, and, and in southern lebanon. they went to also uh, basically take back all of their uh, masonic, uh, uh, holdings, as
7:52 am
a claim uh, you know, from biblical times and you know, that it's a total disregard of people who live in those areas. yeah. hospital up responded as part of the resistance to, to the attack of on the palestinians and the killing as dr. cory points out to some 40000 people. now, innocent people who have died just through this carpet bombing that israel does incessantly. and the united states does nothing to stop, but there was but, but the now now the united states is condoning what's happening in love. and even though they say they don't want it to, to, to spread and, but, well, actually, what do you mean to be fair? i'm reading right now over my shoulder. and what i'm seeing is direct claims from the united states state department and others saying the us for bids and is telling
7:53 am
israel to back off and not attack loving on. meanwhile, israel is saying they had to attack robin on because of the, his bullet attack on the goal on the mix. mix up next to the that's an issue. what do you mean? that's an issue. and because her blood normally will admit to up to an attack and also to their mistakes, they're now claiming very, very vehemently they had nothing to do with that attack on the goal of those or hair play, or drew's well, it meant they are part of the resistance make sense of this, dr. corey, for us, if you would well, this is a contradiction, then the white in administration has position on this. they claimed that they told as an alias, that baby ruth was red line enough to hit the road and that they did not want a full scale war. and at the same time,
7:54 am
they told benjamin netanyahu that if the diplomatic solution doesn't work and they do end up in a war where it says the law that the us would be right behind him supporting which means the supplemental message is very clear to him. go ahead and do what you like . and with the support you, the thing about being able to also the lebanese foreign minister, spoke only uh, 2 hours ago, 3 hours ago, barely an hour before the strike. and he said that he was told, and i presume here by american sources because that's what he is close to, that there would be a limit that is there any dislike and dislikes took place in beirut. which means that the americans, though, were already told in advance about it. so they,
7:55 am
they are speaking on uh from both sides of their mouth. they, they say that they are restraining visiting these. but in reality, they are not. this strike right in the heart of butte would surely cause not just anger in the seats, but testable will at some point of their own choosing. but it totally 8. and they'll probably tell the aid against the one of the cities that these are these uh, things are well protected. and is this that for that is dangerous? and i think the by the, the sedation has done a very poor job in trying to keep this war from spreading. yeah, i think the danger of it the be coming and all out board is quite serious. well, but politically, i can just tell you as an american and as a journalist who covers the politics in the united states, this is the absolute worst thing that can happen to be harris bite and
7:56 am
administration or the harris campaign. because just as she's getting even with trump, in terms of what the polls are saying, this situation escalates and it'll make her look like it's something that the bite and administration is not able to handle once again from a geo political standpoint. but here's what i want to know from you, michael. how big a deal is this? you know, a lot of us all over the world and here in the united states, we keep seeing these tit for tat c skirmishes in the middle east. and we always wonder whether yeah, it's just another day, another situation in the middle east where someone has attacked somebody else. but it seems to me like this is bigger, like like this could be escal atory. you 1st, you were down to about 2 and a half minutes, but 1st you michael. then i want to have the same question from your course. michael, you go 1st? yeah, the, the, the area. yeah. and i used to have an apartment there when i, in my post of days in the area where that was here was, is not far from where my apartment was. it's near the what we call the football of
7:57 am
mosque and right. and that, that area is the heart of hustle today. and you have people of the hierarchy of possible that the are there. but these are also people that have stores. they have, they have it, some of these are communities it's, it's densely, densely populated, have, and, and, and the apartment, and i've actually seen the pictures now of the apartment building that was taken out, a collapse that collapsed up some 5 or 6 floors. and if you probably were people in those buildings, not to mention that as building overlays into the street, i'm also told there's an unconfirmed report that there was a 2nd target. and that was at the bottom of the hospital which isn't very far. and, and from, from the, from back to air. right. let me, let me get back. let me get back michael, to my question real quick because i want to give dr. corey joining us there from
7:58 am
the seeing the last minute of our show on this. and it's the question of whether this will indeed be escal atory or we'll be looking at this 3 weeks from now and saying, okay, was just another talk like so many before it course yes, this is definitely as killing story, but hes bella is very disciplined. uh they are not interested in going into an all tour at this time so they wouldn't take their time. i don't think they responded either way. but at some point they would show these relays that they can hurt them as well. uh, hit think civilian targets and barrow, which is exactly what this was a shows that nothing you know, and the extreme right. and his government really don't care who they hurt. and in fact, the look for places where it turns to the population,
7:59 am
thinking that the population would then turn against his blah, this is not happening in loveland. interesting. people are very upset with this. and i think these really is what feels the thing go to at some point in the not too distant future gentleman, we have unfortunately run out of time. michael maloof great inside. obviously this is something that's very close to you, dr. to bill corey there in the, in, in the place where this attack taking place. my thanks to both of you for your wisdom and your insight on this story as we cover it again, we just learned about this just before we're getting ready to go on the air. that's our show. remember what we always like to say, always look out your own outside of your own box too. so don't live in boxes. i'm rick sanchez, and we'll be looking for you. next time of the
8:00 am
the breaking you go to obtain to national the leader of homeless instrument honey. a is talkative and taken out to find his way. stripe intent on the waiting in president pledges our phones for the explanation. these lawman, republic of iran, will defend its territorial integrity and honor and make the terrorist invaders regret their cowardly action. that's it though as of the beginning, the floating present in grace, tiny little gratian ceremony of cheese day is where i live, texas suburb of babies. kidding, 3 and wounding over for 70 the i guess claims its intended target has the come on.
