the program ondliance and the need to update streets and my understanding, there is a sole bidder for this.say, disappointed there isn't more outreach to find more bidders fwr a sole bidder. there is curb ramp illation, street resurfacing. street resealing. grinding and paving an:xd in there about making sure that sidewalks are ramps and everything else are to speck. the reason i bring this because, i mentioned before and thank you director short set up me engineers. the current design of the city driveways standard and so despite the fact ers told me drive ways for cars and not here the design of the lip is for drainage and not they are not ada compliant and do not th. i'm concerned that we are going millions dollars after a single bid and looking at the documents does not include adstbe ada compliant. it seems a gross oversight to me. mentioned again and again,

riding down things of small wheels one has to be the quality of the driveway lip, because not only are with the current design and beyond the scope of what is dangerous to be riding thin street which we dangerous to transition to the sidewalk, we are legally allowed to do because the current definition set fort by the city do notof the street, despite being a ss in san francisco. i understand this is moved to later date, but i like to the project revised to include the grinding down of driveway to be beveled as specified by the in section 303.1, such that actually see those areas made more >> your time is up. thank you. other in person commenters and raised their hand to speak over the phone as well, so that comment. >> thank you. if thmore questions, all in favor of approving the consent calendar

2:42 am
looking at joint development as a way community beyond just sit operations. here you can rendering of the potrero yard and you notice there is not just cility here, but we are also looking to include to 465 units of affordable and workforce housing on in fact, a portion of the workforce housing thatslated for construction atop the podium, are looking to also have some preference mta staff, including those operations and maintenance staff at potrero yard, which again increases efficiency, instead of many staff having to distances at hours where bart es are not running.u will see in the foreground is along bryant streets the first phase of affordable housing is planned there. roughly a hundred units give or take of planned family housing at that site that would
2:43 am
the point 4 acres. we are onedge of districts 9 and 10. there are currently 6 transit routes out of potrero yard and i believe i covered most of already, but again, this is about 109 yea it is also not-has not been ed, so this is also a way to insure that the building alo safe, both for our staff as as the community. showing on the slide, briefly again about 246 electric trolley buses slated for storage and operation at the site. ans we'll have roughly i believe working on different shifts in the building, so may necessarily be in the building at the same time, but oviding ample facilities for them to be able to use and also this future training facility. i alluded to, climate

action is a important part of for electrifying our fleet improving efficiency of the building itself. this does also meet our equity goals by improving transit to those that need it the most in the community. this serves communities throughout the city, including the adjacent hill neighborhood. and then as i mentioned, the affordable housing will actually be not just the bryant street phase, but there be two additional phases on top of the bus yard, includin affordable and workforce housing. looking at 465 total units with bedroom 776. there have been flucthroughout the process of going through thfor that is, initially the brystreet housing was seen as a housing development, which would have included more units, buthe decision to
2:45 am
transition that a family housing building the have to reduce to the overall bedroom count continues to be consistent. a couple other things that are worth pointing out. one e amenities planned for the new potrero yard is much requested public restrooms for adjacent franklin square park as well commercial spaces for locally serving retail.then in addition, several improve ment to the street scape this block. in terms of the scale our outreach, i think it is important to note that of why we started this project with outreach in late throughout the process, we have insuredand public comment has informed th project throughout the process. in fact, we have a neighborhood working group that meets

monthly brought up to speed ng going on with the project and their input again, incorporated throughout. we have a developer the developer team both for the bus yard and the are also present in those meetings so we had 150 public meetings and opportunities for be engaged in the project and provide their feedback. so, just showing where we are again, we started the public in 2017 and 2018.first did our actuivate partner s in the project and then we ultimately did bring on potrero neighborhood collective spearheaded by [indiscernible] their office is based in la, of the development team includes several lothe mission district who are ti housing as well as public outreach. our entitlements and environmental the
