(announcer) and her fiancé, michael. my name is michael smith. i'm 25-years-old. i work on a drilling rig. we met through my nieces and nephews. my mom owns a daycare and she watched shanteca's nephews and nieces. (announcer) upon this realization, shanteca accepted michael's proposal and now, the pair's just days away from their wedding. i am getting married on april 12th at higher ground church in bakersfield, california. me and michael are spending $30,000 on this wedding.

and get tux- get the, um, get the vest 'cause we gotta try on the vests. (shanteca) michael, hurry it up off the phone so we can get out the car. all right, well shan, uh, need me to get off the phone. so... i'm gonna get off the phone. she's-- nah, she's mad because like-- i don't know. michael. all right, i'll holler. (announcer) feeling the sugar rush, shanteca and michael head into the store only to face a buzz kill, when they try to use their credit cards. my card got declined, 'cause it's maxed out. then she gotta put it on her card and it's overdrawn, too. so... i don't know. she's just very irritated. (announcer) the couple's errand running comes to an embarrassing end. and while michael tries to soothe shanteca's mood, our bridezilla is not having it. (shanteca) i'm mad, 'cause i ain't got no money. i keep spending stuff i don't even have. shan, you think i'm gonna have you re-pay that by yourself. oh, my god! my tooth (del) chipped. (announcer) within moments of arriving at the salon, dona's brand new cap comes off and she has to call the dentist, again. it just fell off right. dona went to play with her tooth. so, she's playing with her tooth and then her tooth fell off, again. it's even worse now, than it was. it can't be worse. it's not like, all of the sudden, another part of your tooth fell off. this is just a nightmare. (chuckling) hi. this is dona carlo. i was just there with my chipped tooth. uh, it came off. you're laughing-- you think this is funny. i do. (dona) i don't. carlo is absolutely thinking this whole thing's hysterical. he hasn't been very compassionate, since i broke my tooth the first time. i know, i'm so upset. now, i have to come back.

and now that i have to go back to the dentist the second time, he already said that he's not gonna go with me. now, i'm on my own-- i have to go by myself. you know, the li-- the littlest thing he could do is show some compassi and he's not even doing that. he told me to call back. yeah, i need to call my mother. i'm gonna have my mother come down. (announcer) getting no pity from carlo, dona dials up her mommy to get in a good cry. i got it done and it broke, already. no. can you come down? dona can't deal with anything. dona... stress equals crying. (crying) no, i'm really serious-- it broke. why is this happening? why is this happening? i feel bad for her 'cause she's going under a lot of stress but, i don't know how t i 'cause i'm not stressed. i need to get my tooth fixed. that's priority, right now. otr's coming.

(announcer) having spent all morning running wedding errands with michael and her father, shanteca is growg testy from all the attention. stop come on-- be cool. no. i'm goin' home. thought we was going to the mall, baby. uh-uh. come on-- let's just go to the mall, ay i don't got no gas. (announcer) wishing to ditch her erra dies, shanteca tries to lay the blame on an empty gas tank, en her fiancé comes to the rescue, whether she wants rescuing or not.

(michael) well, we'll go get some gas, okay? i'm meet you there, okay. shanteca and i, are supposed to finish up some things that we need to get done, right before the wedding. i think the thing that is bothering shanteca, is that we have so much to do and so little time and i just think it's got too much for her and she just needs a break. so, i'll let her have a break. we gotta go get gas, 'cause we've been riding around, all day. so, after that... hopefully, she will be willing to go to the mall, so that we could get the rest of the stuff that we need. this week has been hell. i got people constaly calling me. what are you calling me for? when we was in the store... she, uh, shanteca, she lightened up a little bit don't you think? oh, she lightned up. pops in town. then i got people taking stuff personally. then i got mr. in the other car... right now, is not on my good side.

could you give me-- i don't even think you could give me advice on how to deal with shan. whoo. i think i've been through it all. (laughing) honestly. you're learning experience. crash course. (announcer) shanteca arrives at the gas station where she impatiently waits for one of the men in her life to pump the gas for her. where are you at? i'm at the gas station. my concern is walking down-- walking her down the aisle and-- tell him to hush. she told you to hush. hush. see that's the boss. hey, what's up. i love you. no, you don't. you're my best friend. (announcer) with michael and her father ready to wait on her hand and foot, our bridzilla's mood goes from sour to a little less sr. you gonna give me gas? huh? you gonna give me some gas? uh-hmm. only if you promise me you'll be in a better mood. i lost my rings. uh, no you didn't.

i did. i don't believe you. i'm dead serious. where your ring at, shan? i don't know. i don't beeve ya. michael, i can't find it. i took it off and i set them on the counter. well, you're lucky i gotta go pee. i didn't really loose the rings. i'm just messing with michael. all right, supposedly shanteca misplaced her rin but, i don't believe he i think, she a little upset. she wanna play a little game. she trying to throw me for a loop but, i ain't falling for it. michael, you got two seconds. i'm not your daddy. i wouldn't be using no dang 7/11 bathroom. he gonna catch a disease. that's why i ain't givin'im none. (announcer) with michael tied up in the restroom, shanteca's father volunteers to wash her windows, anr bridezilla shows her appreciation by not showing any, at all. (shanteca) i am not giving you no change, neither.

you gonna come clean this up, 'cause you missed a spot. where? (announcer) all this goodwill proves too much for a bridezilla and she suddenly decides it's te to go. daddy, we gotta go. go. don't make me stop you. we've gotta go to the mall-- come on. all right. i'm taking off with out them. they taking too long. (announcer) it's the morning of dona's beach-side wedding and, as everyone gets ready, there's no sign of rain. (dona) well, today's the wedding day, finally. i feel really good. i'm calm-- i'm really excited. um, the weather is nice, which was a shocker. they're still calling for a little bit of rain but, i don't-- it may just hold off. (announcer) as dona starts to get her make up done, unbeknownst to her, the weather has taken a turn for the worse.

was that rain i just heard? we're getting married outside come hell or high water. like, ve said for days. it's raining. pouring. oh, it is pouring. three hours away from the wedding and it's thunding and pouring. so, at this point, i don't know what we're gonna do. hopefully, it will stop raining and stop thundering and we can get married outside on the porch like i wanted to do. (announcer) despite all the warnings, our stubborn bridezilla couldn't be bothered to come up with a back up plan, leaving her mother to pick up the slack. (dona's mom) i don't know why we can't have the ceremony in the reception room yeah, but, i don't want everybody sitting at their tables. why not? 'cause, no-- that's gonna look horrible in pictures. why? mom. all right. yeah. we'll get through this. i know, i love you.

what are we doing about outside-inside? i have an idea-- i ha an idea. (dona) what? my idea is everybody stands on the porch. and we get married down below? yeah. that's an idea. and then we could do pictures by the beach on the boardwalk. that's right. that's my id. (announcer) while the women work out the logistics, carlo climbs into his tux and gets in some wedding day whining of his own. this is all the (deleted) i gotta put up with just to marry this girl. she's lucky i love her... sometimes. oh, god, i can't believe i'm getting married. holy (deleted)-- i need a beer. i don't care. oh, my god! (announcer) with the wedding only moments away, dona feverishly fits in the final touches.

i still think this is too tight. okay. stop here. i'm sweating, now. yeah, you're getting nervous right? i'm sweating, now. took long enough. you sure you nt to do this? no. you could still run. (thunder crashing) (announcer) coming up, while dona's whining gives everyone a headache... it's raining. could it rain any harder? (announcer) it gets even worse, when she gets a look at her cake. he was gonna do seashells. dithey do shells? no. (announcer) next, on "bridezillas."

♪ (announcer) while it rains on and off, all morning, dona and carlo wait it out hoping things will clear up long enough to have the ceremony outdoors. it's pouring out there. i'm hoping itl stop, 'cause it has stopped three times, already. are they drying the seats, i guess. is that what u're gonna do? yes, that'll be done ten minutes before, 'cause we don't know what's gonna happe

(man) come on-- come sit in the bar with us. in the next hour. right. you nervous? a little bit-- not much. it is att is. it's gonna happen no matter what. (annouer) the rain stops and everyone rushes out hoping for sunshine, but, their hopes are immediately washed away. (carlo) so, it just started raining again. now, we're gonna-- (dona) rich is here. it's raining. whoa! that means my relationship's gonna be rumbly. this weather's horrible. do you still want to do it out here, or do you want to tell them to set it up, inside? it's not gonna be real long. we could do it out here with the ocean, as a backdrop. oh, could it rain any harder. god, c i thunder,ny more? look at this weather. (announcer) annoyed that her wedding won't be on the beach our bridezilla goes on the prowl for something else to get under her skin. i want to see what the cake looks like.

do you have something you want to put in the top of it. no. nothing-- just plain-- okay. nope-- yep. what are we doing? he was gonna do seashells-- did they do shells? no. 'cause we ordered-- i didn't put. no, we ordered chocate seaslls. oh, you did? yes, we did. why, where's our ca? carlo and i went to go look at the cake and we paid extra for chocolate seashells and they're not on the cake. they better be here. i want a chocolate seashell cake. (carlo) we ordered seashells-- we paid for them. your daughter was gonna make them. your daughter was gonna make the chocolate seashells. (baker) no problem. you know, the cake looks like (deleted). 'd rher have the seashells here. so he said he's gonna go back and get 'em. he has 20 minutes. i paid a lot of money for this (deleted) seashells-- they better be here. (announcer) dee the assurance that the chocolate seashells are on their way, dona can't help losing her cool. seen bill, anywhere? we specifically did the whole seashell--

i know. (dona's mom) dona, chill out. (announcer) moments before dona breaks out her bridezilla, the baker returns with the missing seashells. oh, i wanna see the cake. they fixed it. oh, they look good. the cake got delivered. the baker brought the chocolate seashells over and they were put in the cake and the cake looked beautiful. no, they look perfect. ♪ ♪ (announcer) a stubborn rain may have dashed dona's dreams of a wedding on a beach, but,s the ceremony begins, seems all that rain has also managed to wash away any signs of a bridezilla. today you are givi yourselves to one another to love and to live. carlo and dona, may this kind of love
