the tragedy itself in babi yar became a worldwide symbol of the holocaust. on september 29, 1941, the nazis began mass executions in this tract of land in babyny yar, about 22,000 jews were killed that day, and by the end of october, the number of victims exceeded about 50,000. in general, in between 70,000 and 150,000 people were killed in babi yar during the second world war. these were... jews, roma, also prisoners of war, as well as patients of a psychiatric hospital. i would like to point out that historians have identified 150, 159 people, people who were involved in these terrible shootings in babina yar, they were residents of germany, as well as other countries that were under nazi, nazi control, they were people aged from 20 to 60 , some of them were educated and some were not. unfortunately, only a small number of people involved in the shootings in babiny yar, namely on september 29 and 30, 1941, it was possible to convict, in particular, only a few ss members and one policeman were convicted, and on january 27, the international community celebr
