just like what we saw earlier this week when we got over 7 inches of rain in areas like ben lomond andes t the airport close to santa rosa. and over 3 inches in the city of san francisco from this exact storm that's now moving its way to the south. so if you have loved ones down there or if you are traveling down there for the holidays, keep that in mind it's wet right now but that system will continue to track to the south and it clears up into this weekend. then we're actually left where just a mix of sun and clouds and storm tracks to the north. and here we go all the way into christmas day and dry conditions there it's not really until next wednesday where we start seeing an increased chance of showers in the forecast for us. by december 29th heading into this new year. we're keeping a close eye on what the climate prediction center is. more rain in the forecast right around the corner as we head into this new year. wetter than normal conditions are expected on all forecast models. so taking a step back i'll show you that in just a minute. daytime highs today are verysimilar to yes

loman could be near three inches, certainly down around ben lomond.hug the coast and not push far inland. but it will have some colder air. it will have breezy winds. the first system has the breezy south winds. this is your monday afternoon soon winds up to 40 miles an hour along the coast. and then as we get into that second system, this takes us through tuesday night. this is where we get some of that colder air, and we've got over two feet, maybe 2.5ft of snow. so the cloud cover, the mild conditions today with mid upper 60s out there feeling pretty muggy. and as we get into the overnight hours we'll have the downpours, temperatures in the 50s. you can see it looks like a pretty active night. and morning. the accuweather seven day forecast cast. this is our level two system as we get into monday. and then for tuesday and wednesday, we'll have to watch that. we could, uh, you know, if we could divide up the bay area tuesday. looks like the heavier rain along the coast and peninsula for a change. where the north bay won't be seen that much. so these

so if you live through santa cruz, scotts valley, ben lomond, i'm talking to you to be careful aboutoving in. reds and oranges on your screen. something you don't want to see, but something that you do prepare for ahead of the rainy season. it's also starting to come through parts of cupertino, san jose, and over into milpitas and fremont. this heavy rain, although it seems heavy at times as you make your way through the bay bridge and peninsula, it's behind me, still sticking to the coastline and gaining a little more intensity as it will push through into inverness. something you want to be aware of, not only with the heavy downpour, is the effect it could have on local streets. all of these areas shaded this green. so the inner bay and the coast also seeing enhanced rainfall and those higher than normal tides. those two pairing together could be a recipe for disaster as we come up on the clock here for 5:58. that's when the high tide is expected to come near the san francisco bay. so turn around, don't drown, that's our main message this morning. both hands on the wheel. we contin
