daniel burbank of our charleston station has the story . they're calling it the end of an era. >> hundreds gathering at the old hooters for a candlelight vigil. >> it's a lot of memories going down with that building. >> but through the tears. >> hi, guys. >> former hooters employees coming together for one last reunion. >> i started out as just, you know, coming in to get a job, and it became so much more because i met so many lifelong friends and my coworkers. >> i want to thank each and every one of you, west virginia's last hooters in kansas city never reopened after march 2020. >> for all the naysayers, the doubters, the down talkers and whatnot, this building right here was a legitimate, iconic figure to the kanawha valley. the vigil began as a joke between friends gaining traction on social media and the attention of international news outlets. >> long live hooters. burbank, thank you to you and take a look. >> this is video after that vigil, the demolition has begun making way. get this for a gas station. hopefully they sell wings.
