from the north bay in through the east shore freeway. all right. and as we take a look at our forecast for us this morning, we're starting out temperatures in the low 50s in san rafael. it's 58 degrees in san jose. one of the warmer spots right now with a light wind. and we're seeing these clouds overhead. once the clouds clear out, we're headed for some slightly warmer temperatures in the valleys. take a look at our highs in the east bay, up to 93 in our 91 in livermore and concord, 90 in santa rosa and 71 in san mateo. so a wide range in temperatures. as we move across the bay area, we'll talk about even hotter temperatures in tomorrow's forecast coming up in a few minutes. all right, gary, thank you. well, this morning we are still waiting for comment from oakland mayor sheng thao. this is after the fbi searched her home. this all unfolded as breaking news here on nbc bay area yesterday morning. the fbi not yet saying what they may have been looking for in that search or what agents were hoping to find. but we do know that this was one of four l

now, mike, you've got a jam on the east shore freeway. i do right here. now unfortunately, as chance would have it, the disabled big rig is right behind this camera structure here. so we can't actually see the rig, but you can see the impact quickly building to over a mile. now westbound 80 coming in through emeryville out of berkeley is jammed right now. notice the folks right here. this is a frontage road called frontage road. it will take you past this jam closer to the bay bridge. but then as you get close to the berkeley curve, it's complicated. shell mound. the surface streets will be tough. so if you don't really know the area, you may just want to stay to the backed up that's now starting to slow at university. don't have any word when they can clear that big rig. i just know it's in the middle lanes right now. shell mount san pablo avenue is also an option for you. a major surface street. outside of that, the rest of the east bay, the rest of the bay looks pretty light back to you. let's hope it stays that way. yeah, that's right, you never know.

we also have two crashes along the east shore freeway. so i'll talk about both those, all the activity in that portion of the east bay. but kari, there's a little bit of wind registering on the delta top right corner. the rest of the bay seems calmer than yesterday. yeah, we're starting out with lower humidity and also some cooler temperatures. we're back to the 50s instead of the 60s where we started yesterday. at this time, it's right there at 59 degrees in san jose. we have a breezy wind coming through dublin right now, and we are looking at temperatures in the mid 60s for san francisco and it won't be as warm as it was yesterday. i know that humidity made it feel a lot hotter. we're up to 81 today in livermore and seeing temperatures in much of the north bay in the upper 70s and low 80s. so we'll talk about more changes ahead in our microclimate forecast. that's coming up in a few minutes. all right. thank you. well okay. new for you overnight. an apparent shooting is under investigation over in oakland. it happened around 915 last ni

things are better now on the east shore freeway. let's go out there and take a look. you can see that traffic is moderately heavy. there have been no major issues here. i also want to mention that if you are driving in the east bay, you will see that southbound 242 is slow approaching 680 and a lot of people are on the freeway getting down to walnut creek. westbound 24 is beginning to slow near the orinda crossroads, and there's a bigger backup at the richmond-san rafael bridge. at the bay bridge, we do have a backup here that stretches out to almost the maze. i think maybe because of the bart situation, we might have more people taking the car. and again, if you're just joining us, there is no red line service today. that's the service between richmond and millbrae. you can go down to the macarthur station or 19th and transfer 711. let's go back to the desk. >> all right. sal. thank you. well, a nonprofit in the south bay, the victim of budget cuts, the homeless services that are now on the chopping block. >> plus, it would be truly heartbreaking to lose the communit

and you can see traffic is filling in in the westbound direction along the east shore freeway.at our drive times from highway four to san francisco. it will take you 33 minutes right now. now let's head over to our live desk. we have a heads up for caltrain riders. you may have to make other arrangements if you have plans to ride this weekend, because service between san francisco and san jose will be shut down so the agency can test its new electric trains. so there will be some busses between the san jose diridon station, as well as the palo alto and millbrae stations. the busses will not run into san francisco. the shut down is part of caltrans work to electrify the railroad with trains that are supposed to be faster, cleaner and more efficient. the new trains will also have wi-fi power outlets at every seat on board displays with digital trip information, more storage, also a baby changing station in the bathrooms, caltrans says that if they find a problem this weekend, they will be doing more tests. but this weekend is the last scheduled shut down and the new trains are se
