larose is running as well as state senator matt dolan and cleveland businessman bernie moreno former president donald trump has weighed in aggressively in this race. he is backing bernie moreno, but the governor of the state, mike to wine. he is backing matt dolan. of course, their styles are different. the substance since is different. we could up with senator dole and last night he had this to say about the importance of this race >> i have fought and gotten results because if you're not getting results, you're just shouting. and we've had too much shouting in our country too much shouting in our country. so a bit of a not some veiled reference, perhaps to foreign president donald trump, who was here in ohio over the weekend campaigning for bernie moreno he was aggressively going after matt dolan, whose family happens to own the cleveland guardians. of course, the longtime baseball franchise. trump was criticizing them for changing in the name from the cleveland indians. so that of course has nothing to do with this senate race, but wolf, it just gives you a sense of how expensive

larose, also on the ballot. so these three men vying for not only the winner challenge sherrod brown, but also for the direction of the republican party. well, this could be one of the last gasp of the establishment versus the maga movement if you will, that we are getting a look at those exit polls tonight. let's take a look at some of these preliminary numbers. these are conducted by conversations and interviews with voters as they went to polling places across ohio today as well as early voting in the last couple of weeks. some interesting findings here. well, when asked about the opinion of trump, when he was president, 58% said they strongly approve 20% say they somewhat approve 7%, somewhat disapprove 13% strongly disapprove wolf those numbers tell us a couple of things. one, this is a very trump friendly electrode, a very maga electrode, if you will, perhaps not surprisingly, of course, in ohio, a state that was carried by eight points by trump in 2020, going on to look at these numbers, do you think bide

senate in ohio, look, three candidates here, frank larose, the secretary of state.moreno trump aligned, trump endorsed, trump in ohio in the last few days to campaign for moreno. dolan is endorsed by governor dewine. dolan ran two years ago in the 2022 republican primary for the senate. that was another race where jd vance won that primary. he was endorsed by trump. dolan has been in this situation before. dolan had a close third in this primary two years ago. he won two counties in ohio. one was cuyahoga county where cleveland is. that's his neck of the words. his family owns the cleveland guardians baseball team. and frankly county where columbus is, so two big metropolitan areas in the state. this is where dolan did the best in 2022, but he wasn't able to do it in other areas. there are other areas of the state, blue collar, working class population centers, that's been trump's demographic wheel house. those are areas where dolan did poorly two years ago. he'd need to improve in those areas to pull this out tonight. democrats have made it clear that moreno is the
