over 28 states have passed laws that make voting more difficult and georgia is the latest one.ain, it's election interference. so many people are aware of this and are pushing back. a letter was sent monday to the governor, to the secretary of state, to the chair of georgia's election board demanding that the attorney general of georgia issue an opinion explaining the unlawfulness of these new rules. we were joined by nearly a dozen groups, most local from georgia, people are aware of this attempt. we are watching it. we are ready to pounce because we are not going to see this election stolen. certainly not in a state where there is that many black voters who have always been targeted by voter suppression laws. this is the latest one and we will push back. >> i think there's conflation with going on with election certification. i think people look at them vice president mike pence, january 6 and the certification of election results, but the reality is in states across our great country, election certification is ministerial. it's something that needs to happen on and administr

the georgia state election board. the new lawsuit has the backing of the harris-walz campaign and focuses on two newly enacted election rules passed earlier this month. the new measures, again, passed just months before election day allow a county board member to conduct a, quote, reasonable inquiry into election results before they're certified. but the election board doesn't provide a definition of what's considered reasonable, meaning any member can theoreticically block the certification of an election for any reason they deem fit. also yesterday a group including democratic lawmakers call on governor brian kemp to remove three republican members of state's election board. the group says the members acted illegally when they voted to approve this new election rules because the vote was outside of their authority. but kemp's office has confirmed he's reached out to the state's attorney general forrance on whether he even has the power to remove those members at all. the three board members in question are the same
