dense fog and patchy, dense fog. >> settled into parts of the east bay inland east bay and north bay,ecially in these areas right here. you're looking at some potentially very low visibility on the 101. i-80 as well as 24 crossing over to the east bay. so just take it a little bit slower this morning. give yourself plenty of time. you can see that fog right here settled into the east bay. and if you look really close, also over in the city, just on the other side of the bay, we are seeing visibility below a quarter of a mile very widespread from the coast of bayshore to our inland areas right now, we will see fog lifting on into the late morning and afternoon today. and a good dose of sunshine. but i'm fully expecting tomorrow morning to bring another dose of it as well. so even if you're looking outside the front door and saying i don't see any fog out there just a mile or 2 down the road that potential of it suddenly increasing very quickly is certainly big risk, especially if your commutes more than 5 miles low visibility for the north bay marin, sonoma and napa and solano counties

around an inch and a half to two inches expected inland east bay. again, the boom and bust numbers for concord. wide variance here because we're looking several days down the line. we're confident when the rain will move in, but exactly how it will evolve past sunday, that's still potentially up in the air. san francisco, we're looking at around three inches of total rainfall, but stretched out over enough time we're not looking at a significant flooding threat. the high end of the scale, maybe four and a half inches of total rainfall. the low end, expecting at least an inch and a half even in the system underperforms. north bay, higher amounts. three to three and a half inches of total rainfall. and santa rosa, if this system really decides to dump a lot of rain, you could pick up an easy six inches of total rainfall. more likely to reach the the level at the higher elevations of the north bay and santa cruz mountains picking up potentially five or more inches next week. we could use it. it's going to really soak into the ground we've only receive

some high clouds at times, cool high temperatures around the inland east bay and north bay valleys. 60s the santa clara valley. later in the evening, christmas night, we have christmas night football at levi stadium. mostly cloudy skies, should be in the mid 50s. but not rain producing clouds. we have clouds passing by the bay area. by wednesday now, changes coming our way. especially for the north bay. you see the area of red showing up in sew know ma county. may see an inch of rain in the north bay with the first of two storms arriving midday wednesday. by thursday we see showers move out, very briefly, followed up with what looks to be a stronger storm lining up on the bay area for friday evening, wind and rain on that friday evening commute and then more showers as we head into the weekend. so that second storm likely to bring more significant rainfall. notice how the red is not just the north bay, the santa cruz mountains, east bay hills. so the bay area seeing a half inch to one to two inches of rains around the mountains. but good news for the ski resorts, we'll get colder air wi

as we look at the inland east bay, right around danville, san ramon acosta boulevard, 680. watch out . a coastal flood advisory has been issued that starts at 5 a.m. tomorrow until 9 a.m. tomorrow, and that is because high tide is coming up around 640, and that is going to lead to some minor coastal flooding. 6.9 to 7.2 feet. so just keep that in mind, especially if you're going to be out and about near the bay shoreline or along parts of the coast. here's a look at the storm concerns as we're still dealing with water on the roadways. standing water on the roadways. a lot of it has receded, but now we're getting saturated and the rain is falling on top of saturated ground. localized flooding certainly possible power outages, a low likelihood thunder chance, a low likelihood. so it's really key. the flooding concerns. that's in that moderate to high category area of low pressure spinning off our coast. this is the last in the series for this week that has been pulling up the moisture . we got drenched this morning across parts of the bay area. rain is now falling, not just h

also in the inland east bay, right around discovery bay, deer valley road, antioch, oakley. some of the storm concerns. standing water on the roadways. moderate to high likelihood localized flooding, medium likelihood and power outages. pretty low. thunder chance is slight as low. so we look at a live picture from our emeryville camera and you can see that there are plenty of clouds. not everyone seeing the rain, but certainly there are still some concerns. a coastal flood advisory for tomorrow morning, 5 to 9 a.m. high tides coming up shortly after 6 a.m. between 6.9 and 7.2 feet. and as that high tide comes up, there is going to be the possibility of minor coastal flooding. so keep that in mind. area of low pressure certainly has been bringing up some of that moisture. southern california is going to get slammed. mountains and some of the foothills expecting 5 to 10in of rain down there. now in the last 24 hours, we've picked up a healthy dose of rain. you will notice over an inch in san francisco, oakland, close to two inches kentfield, santa rosa and these are 24 hour to
