the weather bureau has announced a tornado has been sighted 20 miles outside of lakeview. it may strike this city at about 6:30 p.m.. when disaster strikes. local radio station stands to help. recently radio reporters in mobile units their lives in dallas, in kansas, in missouri, going out into the raging storm storm. they reported practically every twist turn of the tornado. they warned people out of its path. during the floods of california, oregon and connecticut. radio stations turned over their facilities for search and rescue work. radio helped with cleanup and relief operations. fire down town. radio is on hand with its mobile unit. the studio on wheels, as a neighborhood radio to be present at practice. any news event from a political to a fire like this. the radio reporter broadcasts right from the sea, giving his listeners an on the spot account of the fire. the fight to keep it from spreading. the injuries. the damage. when the fire is under control. a firsthand report from the chief. from a fire to a chat with some interesting neighbors. with its speed and flex

chamber of commerce she took these images that you're looking at of what is left in the village of lakeview. amber, thank you so much for taking some time out to talk with us today this sounds incredibly scary. and just devastating when you look at what this has done to folks lives there, what are they, what are they telling you? how are you doing >> my been in contact with the ema and the sheriff's department governor just landed here at indian lake and he's get ready to do a press conference. so be watching for that. but right now i mean, we've snow plows, plowing the streets of debris just to help get rescuers search and rescue teams here. they're just asking everybody stay away, don't bring any more traffic congestion shin. just stay away from the andean region right now, we have all the professionals we need the hospitals are fully stocked. they don't need any volunteers or supplies. water companies have came and brought pallets and cases of water we're okay. we don't need anything at this time. as things progress. hopefully, we'll be able to get out to things that the community needs.
