. >> i'm marcus washington. we're starting off this tuesday with a wet start to our morning. >> we are. >> not all day. >> not all day. >> it's a weak storm. the rain totals right now less than a tenth of an inch. so just as quickly as it treks in, the clearing will start out in the north bay initially, and then we'll get some clearing in the south bay later tonight. but right now we're in the 50s. if you look at the live cameras, we're seeing some areas that are starting to show more cloud cover versus rain. stormranger is still showing us spots with light to moderate areas south of the golden gate bridge, around the peninsula, and then, yes, stretching through central california. fresno, monterey. that means impacts could be likely through the grapevine commute, the stretch through frazier park. we'll see it trek down to southern california. by 2:30 the majority of the rain clears out. we'll keep some of the cloud cover, but things are looking better, especially once we see 70s later this week. >>> along with

i'm marcus washington. >> and i'm laura garcia. we'll get to that breaking news in just a moment. first, we're going to start with a look at the forecast on this tuesday morning. kari hall is tracking what we can expect. >> a lot of people driving this morning, hitting some mist and drizzle, even some downpours in a few spots. we are going to have that for the next few hours, but it will be clearing out over the next few hours. i would give it until about 8:00 or 9:00. it's also quite breezy in some spots. oakland, the wind coming in from the west at 14 miles per hour, san francisco, a westerly wind at 17 miles per hour, and it's going to be another mild day, slightly warmer than yesterday, as our high temperatures in the south bay head for the mid-60s. we'll see a few upper 60s in the east bay with antioch and concord reaching a high of 68 degrees. we'll talk more about what's ahead and when we'll get some more steady rain in the forecast. >>> mike, you had to use the windshield wipers. >> i did for a surprisingly short period of

i'm laura garcia. >> i'm marcus washington. let's get you caught up with what's happening with that forecast this morning. meteorologist kari hall is tracking those temps across the bay area and conditions we're expecting to see. >> we're going to see a lot of changes over the next couple of days. it's been nice and quiet, but then as we go into this evening, rain will be coming back and it will be breezy at times. we'll also have a winter storm warning going up for the sierra, starting at 11:00, and continuing until 11:00 tomorrow morning. then looking ahead, there will be a stronger storm moving in from friday into the weekend, but this initial line of rain coming in will be in and out of here fairly quickly, but still enough to bring us about a quarter to half inch of rainfall in the next 24 hours. so i'll be tracking that. >>> mike, you were looking at a new report in the tri-valley. >> yeah, here is the big view of the bay. we talked about what popped up on the report. what popped up as details, full screen, someone was th

. >> and i'm marcus washington. we'll get a look at what's going on with the weather in just a bit with you. first, we want to talk about what's going on traffic-wise. tough morning. >> we continue to follow this alert for the east bay. there's been a deadly crash, folks. that's the sad news that starts this morning over in oakland. the live look from a caltrans camera does show you that westbound, the flashing lights continue to be there, the crews can't clear the scene until the coroner does the final report. i haven't seen the coroner arrive, although according to typical operations they should be getting there about now. we see three vehicles total reported for this crash, but the flashing lights are visible. there's the berkeley curve and it's visible as you're approaching the berkeley curve, causing more slowing. i'm going to show you the opposite angle. there's a crash, backup, slowing for 24, the build and visible slowdown for the distraction off the berkeley curve. outside of that portion of the east bay, a
