this is the trough still producing some scattered showers over northern california. another system out here. we'll talk about this, but there's also a big ridge building out here that will eventually lead to warmer temperatures. take a look here at the seasonal rainfall totals going back to july 1st. and as you would expect, we have some pretty healthy numbers here. santa rosa, san francisco, san jose, all over 100. we could use a break in the rainfall and that is headed our way. the sierra. this was the scene earlier today. look at that. some breaks in the storm clouds. this was the view from homewood on tahoe's west shore and take a look at the snow. the snowfall totals over the past week or so. you can see about three to roughly four feet of new snow over the past week. so that's a big addition to the snowpack. and we definitely need it. here's the radar coverage as you can pick out nothing too widespread this afternoon. but still we are not 100% dry. still some scattered rain showers as you can pick out closer to parts of sonoma county. closer to a saint helena,
