i am watching the ship leave the port of oakland. a few hundred palestinian supporters and protesters gathering here at the port of oakland. police have blocked them off at three different areas. there was one group of about 20 people that were demonstrating right next to the ship. three protesters were holding onto a rope ladder mounted to the ship entrance. that ship was supposed to leave sometime this morning but with those protesters refusing to allow the entryway, the ship could not leave. workers tried to ship back to the dock and protesters were calling it a small victory. right around 2:50 p.m., it appears police officers were able to -- they have obtained or removed the protesters from that ladder and that allowed them -- i'm looking at the ship and it is actively leaving the port. still, quite a few protesters that are pretty disappointed. this ship was headed to carry arms and weapons to go to aid israel but we have not been able to confirm that with the u.s. government. right now, the coast guard still monitoring the situ
