meteorologist sanjay patel is here. that's wind.asses, dan. and the fire concern is still with us. so let me show you some live pictures or i shouldn't say live pictures. pictures from earlier. they were live at one point at sunset you will notice there was a lot of smoke and haze. and i'm really going to show you where you're looking at right here. mount tam, also mount uh- from emeryville. you can see all that smoke and haze, even the golden gate and a little tinge down in santa cruz. this is from colusa county fire burning the sites fire. and that's been sending us smoke. we've seen some smoke impacts from the point fire in sonoma county as well. so here are some tips to keep you safe. spare the air tonight and an air quality advisory tomorrow, so if possible, stay inside with your doors and windows closed. of course, if it's too warm, don't shut your doors and windows, but it's best to avoid the smoke if you can, and put your ac on recirculate if you do have it. that red flag warning is not just for solano county. it extends up

abc seven news meteorologist sandyha patel is here with that. sandy. yeah, dan, right now the winds are gusting up to 34 miles an hour near that fire. >> so that is going to be problematic for the crews. take a look at the winds around other parts of the bay area. you will notice gusts to 39 in oakland, 28 in livermore, napa a gusts to 30. even san jose getting 28 mile an hour wind gusts. so with drier conditions expected, the temperatures rising rapidly. we do have a number of watches and warnings to pass along the area. shaded there around fairfield. that's a warning. an excessive heat warning that begins tomorrow at 11 a.m, runs until 8 p.m. thursday. the area shaded in orange. all are inland areas under an advisory 8 a.m. tomorrow until midnight. thursday for heat related illnesses are certainly going to be rising in terms of the increase in the possibility of it. and as you will notice, some parts of the bay area inland will be in that moderate to major heat risk. so take it easy out there and stay hydrated. i'll be back to show you the temperatur

abc seven news meteorologist sandhya patel is looking at what we have tomorrow in our 24 hour accuweather forecast. sandy >> yeah, we'll keep it going. why not? dan and ama, we need some relief from the heat and you'll see what is going on right now from our pier 39 camera. there's definitely fog around and it is shrouding parts of the coast tomorrow morning. you'll have to deal with this low visibility around half moon bay down to five miles. here's a look at your planner when you get going at 7:00. fog and clouds. temperatures in the 50s. i'd grab the sweater if i were you. sun will be out at bay and inland at noontime, but in the afternoon you will notice it's even cooler than today, especially in our inland areas. only low 80s. there upper 50s coast side, certainly breezy and the fog will spread by evening. let's talk about those winds. they'll be ramping up again, just like they did today. tomorrow afternoon and going into the evening even stronger winds are coming this weekend, which is going to bring some fire concerns. i'll be back with that in just a few minutes. >> all right. th

meteorologist sandyha patel is here with the answer. sandy. >> yeah.f you're inland, i think you could get away with the pool weather, but it is going to be cooler. dan and umma, let me show you the live pictures from our tower cameras. they all pretty much tell the same story, which is the fog is back. it's a pretty murky view in emeryville from emeryville, as you can see, visibility right now. four miles in half moon bay, six miles in san carlos. so something you'll need to watch out for if you do have early morning plans. the marine layer is 2000ft deep. that is being enhanced by this system here with an atmospheric river that's heading into the pacific northwest. it is going to drench them, bringing them the potential for flooding rain for us, it's just going to drop our temperatures. right now, those numbers have dropped down to the 50s and the 60s. the winds have been gusty today and they continue to remain gusty around concord, 26 miles an hour. that is going to be the case as we head into tomorrow along the coast. we'll have the strongest winds

meteorologist sanjay patel is tracking those conditions. sandhya >> yeah.nd dan and anna, the humidity has come up here in the bay area. let me show you a live picture right now. this obviously is favorable for firefighters locally, but as you take a look here, we are still seeing really, really thin layer of smoke from mount tam cam in the upper parts of the atmosphere above that marine layer. so air quality, some spots are still looking at moderate to poor air quality. from the north bay to the east bay, but overall, down near the surface, we are seeing an improvement. most areas are green, good air quality per air now. so let's take a look at the smoke forecast. things are going to change again unfortunately. so tonight the smoke primarily staying up to the north. but look what happens as we head into tomorrow. we start to see some of that smoke spilling over into the north bay, parts of the east bay. and that is going to continue as we head into late tomorrow night. so right now the air district has an air quality advisory for just today, but i suspect
