paul heggen is standing by, and paul, it is coming down pretty much everywhere, right?that's right. bands of heavy rain have been moving in basically since mid afternoon. the first wave of rain, certainly went down the roads, now a second wave is pushing for the east. visibility has improved, we can see treasure island from our perspective here but there is plenty of rain and decent wind gusts to go along with this band of heavier rain that has made its way on shore. 25 mile per hour gusts, strong enough to move you around on the road but they won't last that long. the wind energy of the system will be concentrated with the heaviest downpours. you can see the first wave of rain moving off east. the second wave of rain has pushed across half the bay area at this point, now making its way across the bay inland to the east bay over the oakland hills. here is the next wave of rain which will be pushing on shore within the next 90 minutes or so. these waves of rain will continue through this evening and into tonight. futurecast shows that, as we go through the evening and ov

do we thank you for that, paul heggen >> no, i can't take it for the things you want in the weather because i don't want the blame for the things you don't want a cow, you do have another storm system headed our way, it is going to send another swell towards the west coast and you can see the wave heights clearly outlined in the animation that takes us in the first half of the weekend. that's well wiping tomorrow and elevated wave height will continue into the first half of the weekend. it is actually the second in two different storm system that are going to be moving to the bay area. the first one is very very weak. i will send some clouds overhead, those clouds might squeeze out a sprinkle or two tonight but that is going to be it. they should be long gone before the morning pick that second storm system is the one that is not going to produce the higher surf but is also going to help bring a better chance of rain. blink and you miss it from future cast , just the slightest chance of a couple sprinkles overnight. long gone by sunrise and a mix of clouds and sunshine on friday. looks like
