we can see from our aerials this is close to a pg&e substation. also this is time lapse video of the smoke coming from an alert california wildfire camera. this is happening west of the coral fire that started this weekend near tracy. we'll keep an eye on this fire and bring you any updates. >>> this inferno tore through a huge construction site on the outskirts of redwood city. firefighters right now say it was like a tinderbox and this is what flames looked like at their most intense time today as it destroyed a much needed affordable housing complex. so the fire did force evacuation of about 50 people in this neighborhood as the wind spread embers. you can see the ashes just raining down. crews called eight alarms on this as they tried to protect nearby homes and buildings. flaming pieces of insulation sparked at least a dozen spot fires south of the building which were fortunately put out. then our chopper shows what was left. after the fire was under control, the flames broke out about 10:15 this morning on the fifth floor of the construction
