san francisco is also where san francisco vision was developed. as a result of the successful summit between president--and president biden. when the vision is formulated it is up to all of us to take action to translate san francisco vision into reality and i think both mayor breed and mayor gong have set very good examples for us by exchanging visits within a month. mayor breed was in shanghai last month and this month we welcome mayor gong to san francisco. i think this is very meaningful action to turn the vision into reality and to follow through on what our two presidents agreed. i really hope more chinese and american mayors will follow their example. the more visits take place, the better our relationship. before i conclude, i want to say, two years ago today, i started my journey to san francisco to take my position as chinese consul general. over the past 2 years i worked hard and i have gone through challenges, so i like to take this opportunity to express my heartful felt gratitude to mayor breed, city hall, people represented here fro

i was born in san diego and adopted out to san francisco when i was about 17 years old. i bounced around a little bit here in high school, but i've always been here in the bay. we are an inclusive preschool, which means that we cater to emp. we don't turn anyone away. we take every child regardless of race, creed, religious or ability. the most common thing i hear in my adult life is oh, you don't seem like you have autism. you seem so normal. yeah. that's 26 years of really, really, really hard work and i think thises that i still do. i was one of the first open adoptions for an lgbt couple. they split up when i was about four. one of them is partnered, and one of them is not, and then my biological mother, who is also a lesbian. very queer family. growing up in the 90's with a queer family was odd, i had the bubble to protect me, and here, i felt safe. i was bullied relatively infrequently. but i never really felt isolated or alone. i have known for virtually my entire life i was not suspended, but kindly asked to not ever bring it up again in first grade, my desire to

a fire, one of many the burned across san jose today. let's bring in nbc's jocelyn moran with the new details. and jocelyn, what do we know now? well, a raj there were a number of fires today that kept crews busy in san jose, adding to recent fires in the past week. that makes at least seven in the last nine days. police say the arrest today was near a park and they say they caught the man in the act of lighting another one. on a hot day, san jose firefighters were working several small fires. it started along berryessa road around nine this morning. then two hours later, three larger ones near watson park and highway 101. i saw a bunch of black smoke. it was up above this area right here, a lot of black smoke. police say the call came in as a report of multiple fires being set by someone. an officer found the suspect as they were trying to light another fire. that suspect was taken into custody. investigators are now looking into which fires he could be connected to. there have been a number of them in the south bay this month, like thi
