this is no disrespect to any temporary traveling nurses but as a proud san franciscan i'm supporting this local workforce. every nurse loves their job and every 9-1-1 call operators they're on the front lines and passionate about caring for patients and passionate about insuring we respond to our emergencies. during those tough times but absolutely reaching a breaking point and staffing shortages and unsafe it conditions are they're seeking other positions in so the city and counties this incentives and allow full-time nurses previously worked as temporary nurses to buy back up to three years of that retirement time and new nurses can qualify after a few year in the full time nurse it insures also that our 9-1-1 dafrnz receive equal retirement benefits to emergency personnel in many cases and legally classified they don't receive the same retirement bin that amendment changes that by that concludes my report. our nurses and 9-1-1 dispatchers we can retain dedicated and attract new talent and we owe it to our nurses and 9-1-1 call parties operators i want to thanks seiu local and davi

these annual reports are not only required under state law, but are also important to san franciscans. i note the last time sfpd filed its report and proposed military equipment use policy in 2022, hundreds of san franciscans reached out to the board to express disapproval of sfpd now tabled proposal for robots. these transparency laws matter and help us have important policy conversations in the public eye, but these laws are only effective when agencies comply with the law. we may not all always agree on what the appropriate military equipment is for local law enforcement, but we should be able to all agree transparency in compliance with the law matters. the san francisco sheriff office has substantially complied with state law providing their report, and we should expect no less from the san francisco police department, so hoping that we can get a firm timeline for this report and look forward working with sfpd and stakeholders to get that policy before the full board as soon as possible. lastly colleagues today introducing a resolution calling our our state delegation to prevent
