it's friday everybody, let's do this. >> you've got the san francisco marathon, you've got stern grove, there is a lot to be excited about this weekend. >> let's get started with fire watch this morning and the fire that is commanding the eyes of the nation right now, we are talking about the monster fire near chico, look at this. it just blew up overnight, 164,000 acres burned, 3500 people in the path of that fire on the run this morning, forced to evacuate, it is called the park fire. it is the size of san jose and san francisco combined, if you can get that in your mind. firefighters say they have only contained about 3% of what is now the largest wildfire in california this year. and this morning, a man has been arrested for arson. but governor newsom said his office has secured a grant from fema to help with the response to the fire. and as we look at this, to understand how big this is, we want to show you this map from cal fire, just to give you a sense of the size. at one point, the fire grew so fast, it consumed the equivalent of nearly 50 football fields per minute overnight.
